Krups Review Don't Buy !!!
The worst. The digital control malfunctioned and Krups has said, without reviewing it, that it is not repairable! I now have a $90.00 toaster that is no better than one used by my grandmother in the 1920's. How a major corporation like Krups can be so irresponsible is beyond me. Buy American! If you can find it!

Krups Review Interested but Curious
It looks great! But I need facts. What is the power output; manual or digital controls; defrost etc? I like to compare-shop and I don't see enouth information here.

Krups Review Does What It Says
Best Toaster I every had. Easy to set-up and use.
The defrost function with normal toasting feature works great.
Memory function is great feature to use when you and your spouse
have different toasting levels. Easy to clean.
Best looking toaster on market.

Krups Review This one is not long for my kitchen.
I've had this coffeemaker for a few months now and I've come to the conclusion that in my case it was a waste of money. There's nothing all that wrong with it for ordinary everyday purposes, if you want to make regular coffee in a coffee maker, but frankly, I've decided that I don't. Furthermore, there's nothing all that right with it either. I found that after a few weeks, I was back to my old habit again-I make instant coffee as my daily coffee and this coffeemaker didn't change that for any length of time. It's just easier, that's all. And I'm not sorry about that. I am personally a lot more comfortable that way. Furthermore, all this coffeemaker does now is take up space in the kitchen that is needed for other things, including the expreso/capuccino machine which I will be buying just after the first of next year when I add a new table to my kitchen, on which I can put it. So it will undoubtedly be thrown out in very short order. Also, I think the brand Krups is not necessarily the best, including the design of its products.

Krups Review a great coffee maker
We have had this machine for about a year now and it has worked great with the exception of one thing. The machine makes good coffee and it keeps it warm for as long as you want. One of the nicer features is the button that allows it set the coffee maker to flow the water slowly. It goes a long way to make a richer blend of coffee if you like that kind of thing. The only problem that we encountered is the tip that keeps the coffee from flowing when you pull out the carafe. This tip broke off a few months after we got the coffee maker. It really made no difference on the quality of the coffee and we don't even notice that its missing.

Krups Review Nice features at a nice price
When buying a coffee maker, more expensive does not make a better cup of coffee. Roughly speaking, all drip coffeemakers can make the same great cup o' joe; what you're really paying for are the extra features you get.

That being said, this Krups model provides a good number of features at a good price. Among the nice features:

1) A rubber stopper keeps the machine from dripping when you take the carafe out.

2) Reusable filter means never running out of paper filters; saves ya a couple of bucks too.

3) Water level indicator on the side tells you how much water is in the machine.

4) Carafe lid is designed to keep water from evaporating, meaning that coffee kept on the hot plate for three hours will still be palateable.

About the only features missing are a built-in grinder and a timer, but these features often cost a pretty penny. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better coffeemaker for the price.

Krups Review stopped working after low usage
I received this blender as a gift 3 or 4 years ago. I use it once every few months to make fruit smoothies. I always pre-crush the ice before inserting it into the blender just to try to extend the blender's life. Yesterday, when I tried to blend some very ripe papaya in the blender, the blades just wouldn't turn! I made sure that everything was assembled correctly, and made sure that the base was turning when the jar was not in place. I verified that I could manually turn the blades in the jar by twisting the attachment under the jar just as the base motor would have done. The problem, I eventually discovered, was that the base and the jar were not mating properly! The star-shaped rubber thing that turns on the base had shrunken so that it could spin freely without turning the blades in the jar! I checked my warranty only to find that it had expired only one year after purchase! Spend your money on a better brand.

Krups Review Cheap, not enough power
This is the worst appliance I've ever bought. The base to the processor cracked with the very first use, grating cheese. The blender doesn't have enough power and takes forever to blend ice. It doesn't cut the ice small enough so it's not good for anything frozen. The only good thing I can say about this combo is that the blender pitcher is made of glass. It's the only well-made part of the entire machine. Now I need another blender AND a processor. I'm going with Cuisinart this time, it's worth the extra money.

Krups Review Not durable
Thsi blender worked well, and we were pleased with its relatively quiet performance. That is, we were pleased until, after just over a year of very light useage, it simply stopped working. Dead as a doornail. We had a really cheap blender that didn't work as well and was very noisy, but it at least lasted for several years.

Krups Review First Krups disappointment
I purchased this model because I have had a number of other Krups appliances including coffee makers, which have given excellent service. Because it is in a guest suite at my home, it was not used for a long period after purchase. A month ago, it was used for three mornings with perfect coffee. Last weekend it was used for one day, but on the second, the digital clock was blank and nothing worked. I expected more than four carafes of coffee total from a Krups product. It is now out of warranty, so I will buy another, but not a Krups.

Krups Review Katie
We bought this after our Krups of many years saw it last brew. We were very happy with our first one (with timer & clock) and couldn't buy the exact same so tried this one. We are extremely disappointed in it. The overall quality seems far less and the timer feature broke (it brews the coffee as timed; however does not stay on after brewing). The coffee doesn't seem to taste as good as it did in the first one either. Would NOT recommend this coffeemaker.

Krups Review Best coffe taste! by Tea&Coffee afficianado, Silicon Valley
Bought the white version of this brewer about a year ago; was attracted mostly by the price of a refurbisheed model (would never pay more than about [money] for a rinkydink machine) Have run "blind", side-by-side test comparisons with over half-a-dozen other coffee makers (purchased locally, under [money]) and _all_ the others left some defect, such as burned taste, no aroma, coffee too hot etc.

I don't work for Krups or have any stock there. I generally listen to Consumer Reeports and do my own tests.

        Krups Review Under-performing and unimpressive
I ordered the Krups shoe polisher with some amount of excitement after seeing it featured in a number of magazines and catalogs. What I received was a relatively weak handheld rechargeable unit, and a purpleish plastic box designed to mount to the wall and hold the buffing and cleaning pads. Despite following both the instructions that came with the unit, I found it 100% impossible to achieve a satisfactory shine using this machine. I also tried applying shoe wax by hand (instead of using the brushes in the set), and then buffing it off using the unit. This also failed to work well. To make matters worse, the unit actually took me longer to use on my shoes than it would to do the same process manually, and failed to come close in matching the results. I've since returned this product and gone back to my old natural bristle brushes, which produce a vastly superior shine on my shoes. I would definitely not recommend this for most people. Take your money and go buy a brush and shoe polish instead. You'll save [money] and be much happier with the results.

        Krups Review Tremendous
An excellent kit for keeping those shoes nicely buffed. I also found an additional useful feature when I accidentally dropped a coin next to my home shoeshine kit and it told me that word on the street was the Gambinis had been taking heat from the DA's office on account of that business with Frankie the Snake.

          Krups Review Makes EXCELLENT Coffee
I saw this coffeemaker (black with stainless steel thermal carafe) in Costco for only $59.00 and bought it immediately. I originally posted this review under the model with the plastic/glass carafe because that was where all the reviews were, but this is the actual model that I have.

Perhaps the newest version of this product has fixed previous problems. There have been complaints about it making weak coffee and the carafe exploding. The stainless steel version certainly has taken care of those issues. All I can say is that it makes delicious, hot, flavorful, and very strong coffee! We used Gevalia ground Mocha Java, five scoops for 10 cups and it came out so strong, we had to add more hot water in our cups. Four scoops for a full 10-cup pot and you have coffee heaven. This coffeemaker came with only five paper filters, so we used those. I intend to buy a Swiss Gold #4 filter asap, NOT the Krups 049, which is inferior.

After filling the coffeemaker with cold water, I did fill the carafe with hot water and let it sit for a minute or two before brewing. The coffee came out nice and hot and remained hot even after we poured in lots of creamer. The carafe kept the remaining coffee hot until used -- about an hour and a half. I also followed the instructions and removed the carafe from the coffeemaker as soon as the brewing process was finished.

The only reason I rate this unit four stars is because the controls and clock are small and a little hard to see, but most importantly, it makes wonderful, rich, flavorful, hot coffee.
