We were very dissapointed when we received the blender. The base had a rattling sound and pieces from inside it were coming out through the bottom!! Too bad...it seems like it would have been a really nice product to use, but we were so frustrated we sent it back for a refund.

My 10 year old daughter likes smoothies and I wanted her to eat more fruits. In addition she got tired of eating regular breakfast and wanted something fast. So I bought this blender.

No problems so far but here are the things I don't like

1. If I put a lot of fruit, bananas, srawberries, ice and etc.
it's hard to blend. You have to stop/start etc and doesn't crash the ice well

2. It's hard to clean and I am not sure if I can put in the dishwashing machine.

3. I would prefer something that if some of the liquid left you can just leave in the container, like Phillips (more expensive) or you can just take the container with you.

However this unit was inexpensive and does the job, so I would recommend it but only give 3 stars due to the issues I found with it. In the future I would consider other things and most likely buy a Phillips because it's more convinient.

it's good looking and works great too. it's powerfull and has a great glass jar

I've had mine for over a year and the lid has always stuck, now the heating element doesn't work... so it has been only a headache. Good when it worked... but hey. krups = kr*ps

If you leave it unattended for several minutes, it will burn
a fuse (like mine did this week), which Krups don't replace but I'm hopeful that I will be able to fix using the tips in the Waine,

it works great... totally worth it... clean up is easy... if your looking for panini maker this is the way to go

I bought this Krups to replace a beloved Krups thermal carafe that sadly passed on. This new model features too many flaws. For one, the swing-open filter door doesn't always engage. Minor issue. If you pour your water into the machine too quickly, bubbles can form in the window, so you're never quite sure how much is in the machine. Further, my model always seems to leak both water and brewed coffee from the bottom of the machine. Granted, it's only the size of a quarter or half-dollar, but you don't expect this from a Krups. Finally, the carafe, itself, pours so broadly that leaks are inevitable. Sadly, this product does not live up to the Krups' reputation.

We got this coffee pot to replace its last model. We love the old model. This one smelled and tasted of plastic. I ran about 20 pots of water and some w/ vinegar in it to get the taste out. Nothing worked. I called Krups and they told me to use 2 cups lemon juice 2 cups water. Let it start brewing and stop it and let it sit for 2 hours and finish the brew. Then run 2 pots of water threw it. Now black stuff started showing up in the water runs I did. Like the lemon juice stripped the plastic. It was gross. It is also not uses friendly at all. The pot is hard to handle and pour the end of the pot into to a cup. There is nothing good about this pot. Very disappointing since the last model was so great. We are exchanging it for a new one.

After many years of using an old Krups glass carafe coffee maker, I realized it was time to give my kitchen a much needed face lift and get on board with the thermal carafe craze. Where has this machine been all my life? I love the look and I love good, hot coffee. This thermal unit is perfect.

I like the fact that the machine is compact and keeps coffee hot for a long period of time on my table. I've found that in order to have a strong, robust cup of coffee in any machine, you should weigh your grounds rather than scoop, don't skimp on the amount of grounds you use, get a coffee roast that is not over-roasted and in a perfect world you should grind your own beans preferably in a burr grinder. (Sometimes I am just too lazy)

The first one I bought leaked water all over the counter over and over again. I could not use the timer or the entire storage tank would empty onto the counter and then the floor! I took it back after 2 months and exchanged it for another. Within the first week the 2nd one had problems with the hot plate. It began dissolving and the melted metal was sticking to the glass carafe. It doesn't come off. Within a month, my husband noticed that the bumps of metal caused the glass on the bottom of the carafe to pit. He's afraid that the carafe will crack so we've thrown it away. As far as the carafe spilling while pouring; I can say that it defintely does. It depends on how fast you pour the coffee. If your a slow pourer then you won't have any problems. If you or your friends pour too fast then it spills all over itself, your counter tops, their hands... basically everywhere! It's a bad design and defintely not worth the money we paid for it. I recommend you keep your box because we threw ours away. Now we can't return it. We still have to pay off the credit card even though it's in the garbage!

We had a Krups for about 4 years at the office and the coffee was good. We needed to replace it because the Carafe broke and there was no replacement available (they discontinued the model and the carafe - thanks Krups). So, we replaced it with the FM4. I didn't like the coffee from the start - but I figured it would get better. Two weeks later, I dumped it for a Bunn B10-B which got good ratings here. Get the Bunn - it makes a good cup of coffee.

We always use Starbuck's coffee.

I just bought this coffee maker about four days ago and so
far I've been happy; I was NOT happy that the Black and Decker
Cafe Noir unit I bought died after about 9 months. I will never
buy a B & D maker again; stick to drills, guys. This Krups
seems fine. I owned a very inexpensive Krups before that lasted about 10 years, made good coffee, and was simple to clean and operate.
This unit is comparable although a good deal more expensive.
So far, the coffee has been great but I'm still figuring
out the water to coffee ratio for proper strength. I too
am I little mystified by some of the scathing reviews: what
do you people WANT? I want ease of use, durability (time
will tell), and good coffee. What else matters? I do agree
with some of the minor criticisms -- the measurements on
only one side of the carafe is stupid -- how much more would
it be to put markings on BOTH sides. Some of us (some of the
best of us!) are left-handed. So that's a minus. Carafe
seems thin; okay, so don't hammer nails with it for God's
sake! It has yet to drip for me, it looks nice on the counter and the 1-3 cup feature is a plus. One other thing: on my late and unlamented B&D unit, you could not access the used filter without also accessing the water reservoir; so if you wanted to take the used filter out, you had to either wait forever or get scalded by the steam left in the unit -- VERY bad design flaw. With the Krups, you can remove right after brewing without danger. As to the person who said the coffee
was not brewed hot enough: that's why God gave us microwaves --
and thumbs!

I had the same issue as the person who bought it for their grandmother. I called Krups, and they gave me the number of a local repair place. I called them and the repair guy told me to turn the on off button on and off like 6 times and try again.

This time it worked perfectly.

He said there is a thermestat in there that sometimes gets stuck in shipping, and I should contact them again if any other issues pop up.

As a Brit living in America I spent years boiling the water for my tea on the stove top, as none of the (very few) electric kettles available in the shops looked any good - certainly not up to the standard of a typical British kettle that could be purchased for a fraction of the price back home. Finally I decided to look online and see if I could find a decent kettle there and, after doing extensive research, I settled on this Krups kettle as being the best model available in the US for a decent price. The best thing about it is that it has 1750 watts of power (more than any other kettle I found available in the US), which means that it compensates somewhat for the lower voltage in the US and actually boils almost as quickly as a British kettle. The minimum amount of water you're supposed to boil at one time is 2 cups, and this boils in just under two minutes. However, since I am usually just making just one cup of tea at a time, I often boil just one cup of water and this takes 1 min 8 secs and doesn't seem to harm the kettle, as the base is fully covered by the water. I also save loads of time when cooking pasta now by boiling the water in the kettle first before pouring it into the pot and adding the pasta. This is also much more energy efficient. I have owned the kettle for about three months and have used it daily, and it has not caused me any problems at all. I would highly recommend this item - especially for all you tea drinkers out there fed up with more antiquated methods of boiling water!

I purchased this a week ago and highly recommend this espresso machine. Easy to use and clean, but most important - the espresso (I use Starbuck's and have them grind it for me)is fantastic and has a crema just like you get in Italy! The milk steamer/foamer is too much trouble for me and I just heat milk and do a cafe con leche - easier and less cleaning.
Great machine.

Ahh great coffee at home

Firstly I am just a wee amateur when it comes to coffee. I hate instant coffee and wanted quality coffee at home that was easy to make.

I just purchased this machine last night; it's our first pump espresso machine. It took me a couple of goes, messing around with the machine to produce a good coffee, but I seem to be getting quicker and better with each additional coffee I make.

It's fairly simple to use. The pre-programmed 1 or 2 cup buttons take all the guess work out of the coffee creation - process. It is also very quick to fire up (become ready from power up to coffee creation) in comparison to some of my friends machines.

The auto- cappuccino (milk foamer) also works well, with surprisingly little mess or effort, but be sure to use very cold milk.

So far the machine seems to be very easy to clean after your perfect cup, no drips or mess which I have read about in other reviews.

I have not tried the ESE pods yet, but I am sure this eliminates any coffee ground mess.

The Krups rice cooker was a huge disappointment. The slower cooker portion was useless--there are no high/low settings, and the manual doesn't indicate a default temperature. It also made horrible rice, and the steamer didn't work, either.

A jack of all trades but master of none.

I've had this item since June 2005. I primarily use it as a rice cooker and a steamer, and it always performs very well. Definitely makes my life easier as the cook!

I am very, very happy with this item. I have had it since last June, and it has become a cherrished "kitchen companion". I get fast, great tasting rice every time. The slow cooker function is a wonderful time saver. I just put my ingredients in the pot in the morning, set the timer, and by dinner time I have a delicious, hot meal. I'm glad I made this purchase.

This is the filter that fits the Krups FME2-14 12 cup coffee maker. It does not say this and the other filter description states that it fits all Krups makers. This is false information.

The item is wonderful. The shipping of the item arrived bent and twisted. I did not want to send it back because I wanted to make coffee. The people that packaged it did a lousy job of protecting the item sent.

Works great, it is a lot easier than using paper filters.

This toaster has all the features to make it a great toaster, but its problem is it's just poorly built. I just had to return two of them within a month. On the first one, the right lever got stuck after using the "pop up" feature the first time. This was after one day of usage. On the second one, the left lever broke and would not hold the toasts down after 3 weeks.

I'm very happy with this toaster. It toasts evenly, entirely, and uneventfully. Which is surprisingly rare among today's toasters! It's a little big, but you get used to it. It's aesthetically questionable, but you get used to that too.

Everything you put in it comes out exactly the way you want...one of my sons likes his bread or muffins lightly toasted while another wants his nice and crispy....and they both can cook their at the same time with each child's food coming out cooked to perfection for them....I love the way it toasts the cut side of the bagel just right and only warms the outside of the bagel instead of making it taste like burnt shoe leather....what a toaster....
