Stand Mixers Review Attachment Pack
The grinder works great. The slicer/shredder is worthless. If you want a grinder, order it seperately. If you want a slice/shredder, order a food processor. The slicer/shredder did an awful job on onions, mushing them up, and dropping large chunks into the bowl. Celery had the celery strings all wrapped around the drum. It did do a good job on potatoes, shredding them nicely. You also need two pairs of pliers to take the drum off the shaft when you're done. And, a plastic spatula from my Braun food processor was great to scrape the potato remains from the drum.

Stand Mixers Review Great item for the price I bought
This attachment pack is great for my mixer. The four piece shredder turns out to be better than what I expected. At first, I think it would be made out of thin metal, but it comes out to be thick, strong metal. Also, the food grinder, wrench, and shredder housing look and feel like it was made out of sturdy plastic. The pouring shield is a two piece shield, although I want it to be a one piece shield...I guess it will do for now.

[...]

Oh, by the way, the attachment is still in its original box so I can't tell you how well it works, I am only telling you how it look and feel.

Stand Mixers Review Great core set of KitchenAid accessories!
This set provides the basic accessory tools for your KitchenAid stand mixer. All parts are very well made - even though I was a little leery of the plastic on the grinder, it appears to be well made and should last well. The shredder works well, and I found it to be much easier to use and clean than I expected.

Another reviewer mentioned that two pairs of pliers were needed to disassemble the shaft from the cone, but the socket built into the housing for that purpose works well for me (no tools needed). Onions worked fine on the shredder; does a nice job on shredding potatoes and squash! Some potato skins did work their way between the cone and the housing, but not enough to cause much of a problem (just needs a little care).

Overall, I am quite happy with this set. Cost is about $10 less for the set than I'd been able to find for just the grinder and the shredder separately, so the shield is a bonus.

Stand Mixers Review Lid way too tight for the container
Total ripoff. The lid is too tight for bottle. At this moment, I can not use this item and i consider this item trash.

Stand Mixers Review I was ripped off and I think knowingly
The tupperware was useless because the top was too small for the bottom. I am left to think that this seller is running a scam.I wish someone had told me before I threw 25 dollars down the drain.

Stand Mixers Review A must have for any kitchen!
This is a fantastic shaker mixer that is designed well and is ergonomically shaped to fit your hand. This mixer thoroughly blasts any chunks and "powder pellets" to shreads! The lid fits very tightly, and seals well. I have several Tupperware products and have never had any problems with exchanging with a local representative the pieces/lids/snap-on's that were defective or didn't fit quite right.

Stand Mixers Review The is the same tray that comes with the grinder.
Don't buy this thinking you're getting a bigger tray. It's the same little tray that comes with the meat grinder. Only buy this if you somehow broke or lost the one that came with it.

Stand Mixers Review Not What I was expecting
It works fine except that the juices from the tomatoes leak out. Good for dry things but not for juicy items.

Stand Mixers Review A must-have for big jobs
This tray makes big jobs easier. You can get by with the smaller one that comes with the grinder, but if you're gonna be making large quantities, save yourself some stress and buy this tray, it helps a lot.

Stand Mixers Review The Passionate Gourmet
Does every thing it advertised plus. I use it everday wish I had one just a little smaller that I would give five stars.

Stand Mixers Review excellent!
This product has so many plusses... It is heat safe to 400 degrees (you can get some rated higher, but this has been fine for me)..it is light weight but stong enough to stir and turn food with out bending. It is dishwasher safe and cleans up great. I have had mine a few months as there are not stains on it and it still looks perfect.

It a great overall tool and pretty inexpensive. I like it much better than other tools i have gotten that were non-stick safe. It is sturdier and wont melt in a pot. It is good for stirring altho i think the one with two rounded edges is a bit better for stirring

Stand Mixers Review Great all-around kitchen tool
I originally wanted this turner for use as a spatula when I wanted to stir, mix, scrape bowls, and serve other typical rubber spatula purposes. Now that I have it, I use it for everything.

The fact that it can withstand 400 degrees means that it gets used around here to remove things from the oven rack (pizza is a favorite) and stir pots of hot syrup (for that all-important Christmas candy). It's quite large so it can be used to flip grilled cheese sandwiches and the like.

I've used this in sauces which often stain rubber spatulas and it's come out of the dishwasher without a trace of color. This is probably the most versatile utensil in my kitchen and I heartily recommend it.

Stand Mixers Review Worth your dough.
I've wanted a KitchenAid mixer since I was a little girl, and was really happy to see that Amazon.com carried it in stock.

As this was my first major purchase off of Amazon.com, and I was a little hestitant at first... But when the empire red Pro series one showed up in my gold box, I figured I should go ahead and get it. Between the $10 gold box coupon, the $25 off from the May sale, and other little kickbacks, I ended up only paying $170ish for it. Which is a lot cheaper than the department stores, and you don't have to lug it home. (NOTE: DON'T have it sent to your work address unless you have to, and if you're taking the bus home, forget about it!)

Since I signed up for Amazon PRIME (3 months free trial, thank you very much) I had my mixer sent 2-day air and didn't pay a dime for shipping. Score!

What the product images don't show you (which I found out) is that it comes with all your usual accessories - the flat beater, spiral dough hook and wire whip. These didn't come in white, but the ugly raw aluminum. It also came with the plastic guard, which isn't posted on the product description anywhere.

The machine is strong, durable and was able to deal with heavy doughs, whipped cream and even creating yummy tuna salad. It's easy to use, although since it's not tiltable it's kinda awkward when you're trying to take the bowl out. I would suggest buying another mixing bowl, so you can do more than one thing at once. I know a lot of people have to scrape the bowl to make sure everything is mixed properly, but I didn't have that problem at all.

A tip though: If the mixer seems like its banging against one side, you need to fix it pronto. Mine did that, since I didn't push the bowl down flush... So make sure it's not tilted at all.

Overall, I LOVE it. More to come as I put my KitchenAid mixer to use.

Stand Mixers Review Beautiful bowl, but misleading item description
This bowl is lovely, but that doesn't fix the fact that it doesn't fit in my Kitchenaid Accolade. The first line under "Features" here on Amazon reads, "Works with any KitchenAid Pivot Head stand mixer", which the Accolade IS (a pivot head mixer). But this bowl does not fit in the base of the mixer, it is to narrow, so it doesn't lock in place. So be sure to check the quart size of your mixer before you purchase this bowl.

Stand Mixers Review JUST THE RIGHT SIZE MIXING BOWL
The bowl arrived in perfect condition and came quicker than expected. I like the size. It is great for mixing smaller amounts. A lot of times the 5 quart bowl that came with the mixer is just too big.

Stand Mixers Review Great size bowl for counter use.
I bought this bowl because one bowl for the mixer just isn't enough. Turns out I just LOVE the size and it looks better than bigger one I think since my mixer is out for all to see. Great size for simple cake mixes and things of that nature. Kind of a lot of money for just a bowl but worth it.

Stand Mixers Review Great mixer
We've had this mixer for several years now. Works great for mixing cakes, pies and cookies. Also mashes potatoes very well. I like the ability to use it as a hand and stand mixer. Great versatility.

Only reason for 4 stars is it has a short cord. Manufacturer claims for safety reasons. Unplugs if falls, etc.

Stand Mixers Review Just what I wanted!
This is just the mixer I was looking for to replace my 40 year old Sunbeam Mixmaster. It operates in much the same way, is easy to use, and so lightweight that I have no problem moving and storing it even with arthritic joints. I like the tilt back head, and easy to eject beaters, and the very quiet motor. The lightweight base is compensated by the weight in the bottom of the bowl, so it does not move about on the counter during operation. The stainless steel bowls are an improvement on my old mixer....no breakage! It does a great job of mixing cake batters. I've made several different kinds, and they all turned out great. The price is much better than most Sunbeam and Kitchen Aid mixers, and, in my opinion, it is easier to use and does just as good a job. The only thing I can think of on the down side is the warranty. It's only 90 days and most products come with at least a year. I surely hope it will way outlast the warranty because I am enjoying baking again!

Stand Mixers Review Spend the extra money and get a better KitchenAid
According to KitchenAid, when you adjust the mixer it should come in contact with a dime at the bottom of the bowl. No chance with this one. When I went into my local kitchen store and asked them about adjusting the mixer for this they showed me how to do it. I went home excited, finally!

Unfortunately, this model doesn't come with the same sort of adjustment as their better models.

Spend the extra and get the better model.

Stand Mixers Review I'm so disappointed
For fifteen years I've talked about getting a good stand mixer and my sweet husband went out and bought me this one. He bought it on sale at Cosco last Spring, then stored it until we moved back to the States from Europe and gave it to me as a housewarming gift in Nov. I've used it a few times but the paddle and whisk don't reach the bottom of the bowl and the screw meant for adjustment will NOT tighten any further. I can't get into the bowl at all while it is in the upward position... to scape or to add ingredients. I like to make crepes, which calls for adding sifted flour gradually over eggs while beating. It's impossible with this machine. I get a gluey mass at the bottom of the bowl, unmixed... and the batter is full of lumps. If I want to scape the bowl, (which is frequently necessary since the paddle or whisk doesn't reach all the way to the sides of the bowl) I have to stop the machine and lower the bowl each time, and even then, with the paddle or whisk attached, it's not easy to reach the sides of the bowl towards the back. You can't turn the bowl without removing it from the stand completely. You have to yank on the bowl and lift at the same time to remove it from the stand. This takes a fair amount of force to maneuver. It's impossible to remove the paddle or whisk without first letting it drop completely into the batter. The speeds are not variable enough. It seems to be either ploddingly slow or so fast that any liquid or flour flies out.
It's a monumental disappointment and I'm frustrated because it's been so long since he bought it, I can't imagine they would allow it to be returned. So, I still mix everything by hand or use my stick mixer and feel crumby about the big white doorstop taking up counter space.

Stand Mixers Review 12 years and still going strong
This is the absolute best standing mixer. I bake cakes, cookies, etc... a lot and 12 years ago, my husband bought this for me for Valentines' Day. Then it was over $300, and well worth every penny. I have actually never adjusted it, it works perfectly the way it is. When we were evacuated from our home last year due to a fire, 5 days later I went back and rescued my Kitchen Aid, and guess what? Good as new! I use mine several times a week and have never had a problem with it.

Stand Mixers Review Working Again
I love kitchen gadgets. This broken mixer (Broke after two uses) was handed down to me so that I could use the accessories. I took the mixer apart to find a stripped worm gear (the only non-metal gear). It was going to cost about $100 to get it fixed. I ordered the part and did the job myself for $22.95. It works great now!

Stand Mixers Review Owned for about 6 years, recommend more power
I've had mine for about 6 years and no trouble so far. If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten a 400 or 500 watt model however. At 300, this is fine for making dough or light - medium mixing but I tried one time to mix a batch of meatloaf consisting of about 2lb of ground beef. I was using the flat beater as the manual indicates but it sounded like it was really straining. I won't try that again.

The quality of the mixer is great and it's very sturdy. My advice is to really think about what the flat beater will be pushing around in the bowl though before choosing this particular model. The dough hook isn't really an issue since it has a lot less surface area.

Stand Mixers Review The last mixer you will ever buy
I have owned my KitchenAid stand mixer for over 8 years and have had no problems with it whatsoever. This mixer is so great. I use whenever I can. It actually makes baking fun. Years ago I used to use my moms old Sunbeam mixer and whenever I tired to make a recipe that had a batter that was very thick it would slow the mixer down and sometimes it would stop on me. Not with the KitchenAid. I have had no slowdowns whatsoever. Even with the thickest dough and batters the KitchenAid never gives me any trouble. This is an appliance that you can leave on your countertop all the time because it looks great and you can pretty much get it in any color you want to match your kitchen. So, if you are in the market for a stand mixer and want to get your moneys worth then look no further. This is the mixer for you.
