I think this is the best mixer available at this price point. If you are going to bake huge batches of bread or if you have the money to spend, you should probably spring for the biggest and most expensive Kitchenaid. However, if you have a small kichen (the unit is light and more storable than bigger, more expensive mixers), a young child (it's one of the quietest mixers available), or limited funds to spend on kitchen equipment, this is an excellent choice. This is sturdier than the comparably priced Kitchenaid and its performance has been flawless. Unlike another reviewer, I have had no problems with the mixer walking or shaking during mixing, and I do make bread and other thick doughs. I bought this mixer because of its high Consumer Reports rating, and I haven't been disappointed.

I have been using my new Eclectrics Moroccan Red Stand mixer and I love it. I have tried both this and the Kitchen Aid Artisan stand mixers. They both do a great job mixing cookie and kneading bread doughs. I was surprised that the Eclectrics stand mixer could do 4 batches of bread without a problem, and for the price, it is definetively a good value, especially since the comparable Kitchen Aid Artisan cost so much more, about $250. It even got the Consumer Report Best Buy rating a couple of months back. For those concerned about having to scrape the bwol, if you let the mixer mix the batter for the right amount of time, I think you will find that no scrapping is required. I do know that when the stand mixer was first available the beaters did not do such a great job touching the bottom of the bowl, but they have fixed this since my new model goes all the way to the bottom and I have no problem with things not being mixed well.

Very pleased with my experience in receiving my new mixer. The transaction was fast. The item was well packed.

After you finally get the can attached, you must push it up and let it complete about 3-4 complete turns before the can is completely opened

This is by far the best can opener I ever had. It does not leave sharp edges and is very easy to use. I highly recommend this product.

I really like this can opener because it doesn't take any additional space in my kitchen and it has the strength of my kitchen aid mixer. It's a nice heavy steal and does the job great.

I'm replacing the original- on which the enamel chipped after 2 years light use. No metal or hard objects came in contact and I am very unhappy with the Kitchen Aid quality. However, this is the only choice now. It would be better if they made the dough hook from stainless steel.
I have the Artisan stand mixer, but next time would purchase a different brand. This hook is difficult to remove from mixer head and no fun to clean.

I have this dough hook and find it to be very helpful in making bread. I hardly do any hand kneeding because this takes care of it for me. I sometimes have trouble with it nicking the bowl, but that has more to do with the height setting in the mixer.

I purchased the Accolade 400 a few months ago; it came w/ a CD video with a demo on how to use the dough hook. I followed the demo for myself and my bread comes out perfect everytime. I make bread about 3 times a week. I'll never go back to store- bought bread again. I've even made sweet and rye breads as well...the dough hook works wonderfully for me.

We used this to make applesause. in a word, Awesome. It turned 5 pounds of apples into applesause in five minutes.

This gizmo makes the shortest work of making applesauce you ever imagined. You slice the apples, cook in a large pan with a small amount of water until they are soft. Then you push the apple mush, skins, seeds, core, stems, etc. in the top of the food grinder, and out the sieve part comes pure applesauce, out the end, comes the seeds, skin and stem. It takes maybe 10 minutes to process a 16qt pot of cooked apples.

I usually get every burner on my stove going, heat the pots of apples, process the mush into sauce, then can the lot. The canning part takes the longest.

Anyway if you can apple sauce, you need this tool.

I own an extra bowl for my 5-Quart KitchenAid Stand Mixer and it's great. When you are busy preparing a large family / Holiday meal it can be a life saver.

I bought this for my wife as a gift. We have a KG25H7X 5 Quart Professional HD Mixer, purchased (and probably only sold) at a major warehouse club where things generally don't Cost too much. Because it was summer and we weren't doing much baking, it sat in the cupboard for the better part of six months. When we finally did have a need for a second bowl, we were shocked to find that it didn't fit our particular model of mixer. It comes close, but it is obviously a slightly different diameter.

Five stars because I'm sure it's a great bowl for the mixers that it fits, but make sure your mixer is one of those!

I have a KitchenAid 5-Quart Professional Stand Mixer (bowl lift type, and not an Artisan) and I ordered this part only to find that it did not fit. Upon contacting KitchenAid I was told that the correct bowl for my mixer is the KN25WPBH (polished stainless) or the KN25PBH (brushed stainless). The KN25WPBH and the KN25PBH fit mixer models that start with "KG". At the time of writing this review the bowls that fit my "KG" mixer were, unfortunately, not available through Amazon.com. I am not exactly sure which series this K5ASBP bowl fits because this bowl is not even listed under stand mixer accessories at [...].
