Only lasted a monthMy wife bought this mixer about a month ago hoping that it would be a mixer that could last a while (at least a year or two) but after a month of once or twice a week use, it died, now it has been returned. I wouldn't watse the money even if the price and options look appealing.

Don't waste your money- buy a KitchenAidI bought this product with great expectations. It seemed like a good product with a great price point. The beaters it came with lost their chrome plating with the second use. That is a serious health hazard as shreds of the chrome plating can end up in your food. I called Salton and complained. They said they would provide another set of beaters, but they could not guarantee the same thing would not happen again. After 4.5 months (!!!) I finally got the second set of beaters, which promptly developed rust spots right after the first use.
Bottom line: if you bought it already, bring it back (if you have a receipt). If not, throw it out the window. Buy a KitchenAid instead.
