I HAVE AN IONIC BREEZE QUADRA COMPACT THAT I REALLY LIKE. WAY BETTER CLEANER THAN ORECK. MAYBE IF YOU LEFT ORECK ON HIGH SETTING ALL THE TIME, IT WOULD CLEAN BETTER. BUT THE NOISE FROM ORECK IS LOUD, EVEN ON THEIR QUIET SETTING.

BUT, I WOULD NEVER PUT AN IONIC AIR CLEANER CLOSE TO A WALL. BOUGHT ABOUT 6 OF THESE FOR LAUNDRY, 3 BATHROOMS, AND 2 HALLWAYS. EVENTUALLY THE DIRT THEY ATTRACT STAINS THE WALLS. FORGET ABOUT CLEANING THE MESS, YOU HAVE TO REPAINT.

I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THESE ON A PAINTED WALL. I DID KEEP ONE FOR MY MASTER BEDROOM. ONLY BECAUSE THE RECEPTACLE ON THE WALL HAS A MIRROR AS A BACKGROUND. MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN.

This small version of the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze cleans the air in your bathroom the same way the big one does for your living room. It is handy and portable, so you can also move it from room to room if you need a little air freshening. Just like with the large Ionic Breeze, you can watch it pull dust and smoke out of the air. It needs to be cleaned more often than the large one, simply because the collection plates are tiny, but it is just as easy to pull out the collection plates and wipe them off--no filters to buy or grids to wash! If your bathroom suffers from certain...smells...then this works great in tandem with your bathroom fan to relieve you. I can't even imagine how much this device will help if you don't have a bathroom fan!

There is one small problem with the Bathroom Ionic Breeze though. While it is on (i.e. plugged in), it emits an incredibly high-pitched shriek that seems to be just on the threshold of human audibility. Both my brother and I can hear the shriek just fine. It is so loud that we can hear it throughout the house. The funny thing is that for as many people as can hear it, there seem to be just as many people who can't hear it. So, depending on how good your hearing is (do dog whistles bother you?) this device may have a hidden "feature" for you. Either the large Ionic Breeze does not have this problem, or it is so high of a pitch that even I cannot hear it.

Outside of the incredibly annoying shriek that dogs and I can hear, it still cleans great.

I just moved into a new place. My spare bathroom had a smell in it that I could not figure out for weeks. I reached out and bought this breezer for that reason and the next day the smell was absolutely gone. I think it was from an awefull smelling paint etc.... I can't believe it got rid of the smell. I would recommend this product to sustain that fresh smell and get air clean where needed. It works.
