Heaters Review Dirty water collects on underside and drips into carpet
After cleaning my front room with the 9300 model from Costco, I immediately returned it. About half way through cleaning I lifted up the cleaner on it's nose to look underneath and the underside was coated in big drops of dirty water. When pulling backward, most of those drips can be sucked up, but when pushing forward they will drip off the vaccuum, into your carpet, then you have more drips to get out. I certainly wasn't happy to see all the dirty drips that I had to work to get out, so now I'm back in the market for a home carpet cleaner.

Heaters Review One of the best investments we've made!!
I don't normally write reviews but I was compelled to say something about this one! We purchased the 9400 off of Ebay and I must say, it is absolutely amazing! I've used a few differant kinds of carpet shampooers (including a rug doctor and a few differant Hoover models) and this one just blows them all out of the water! It's bought new life to our carpets, it even got out old koolaide and grease stains out of our dining room. Our carpets look and feel brand new, and with two young kids and a dog, it's a great thing to have around. Honestly, even if you think your going to have to replace your carpets, try this out first, you might be surprized at what it can do! I'm not normally about dropping so much money on any one thing, but it's alot better than having to buy new carpeting in a few years! It's really easy to use, I LOVE the tank in tank thing b/c there's only one thing you have to take to the sink. The two rows of brushes leave your carpets freshly groomed, and can really bring all of the dog hair up and out of the floor. It does spit it out in hair balls, but it's supposed to do that so it doesn't clog up the machine. All of the tools work great except for the turbo brush, which is just kinda a joke. If you want to save some $$ though, try looking for the 9200 on Ebay and buy any extra tools you really need off of the bissell website. I was lucky enough to find the 9400 for $70, just check it out first, you never know!
As for some of the problems other people have had... on ours the brushes do stop moving when it is upright so we can use the tools, but because on some other ones the brushes don't stop, be sure to check that when you get it. Also, I recomend following the directions on the review from the engineer and drill a couple of holes in the back for the exaust. We noticed that it was getting pretty hot after use, so we decided to do this and it helped increase the suction and it doesn't get hot anymore. Maybe this is why some people's machines poop out after only a few years, I imagine the motor would eventually burn out from overheating. It really is stupid that they put the exaust on the bottom of the machine, air can't really escape because it's right against the carpet. Just be carefull not to drill into something you're not supposed to!!!!! We only needed to carve out a couple holes about an inch above the existing exaust vents. I know some people have had a problem with suction, for us it exstracts about 70-80% of the dirty water, which is what is expected according to the bissell website. Also, if you have any problems, check out their troubleshooting page, there's some good suggestions on there that could really help you out or at least narrow down the problem.
Everything said here, it's worth it's weight in gold!! Even if you have some of the problems that some others have had, they are repairable and it's worth the effort to fix because it works soooo great!!! Hope this helps!

Heaters Review BEST PATIO HEATER OUT THERE
After researching many outdoor heaters we found that this was our best option. We have an enclosed patio/pool area and placement of other top cap styles were to tall (you need 3' clearance). This is not only the right height but the heat radiates all the way around instead of just from the dome top. It also has a variable heat output setting. Perfect.

Heaters Review Too hot to handle
This warmer is a piece of junk. You will not only burn yourself taking the bottle out of the warmer, but it will burn your little one's mouth too. Don't waste your $$$$.

Heaters Review You mean no walking to the kitchen at 3am?
I was SO thrilled with this bottle warmer, that now I get it for everyone when they have a baby and are using bottles. This was wonderful when my little guy was a newborn sleeping in his bassinet in our room and woke up to eat. I would grab the little cylinder of water dump it in, put the bottle in, turn it on. Then I would grab my little guy and change his diaper. When I was done his bottle was all warmed up and ready to go, I barely needed even a nightlight. This way he understood it was ok to eat, but that it was still night time and we were going to go back to sleep and it worked!!! I LOVE this SO much!!

Heaters Review Great Invention for Tired Mommies
I used the Playtex nursers with mine and I loved it. It kept the bottles cool all through the night. And when it was time for a feeding, the bottle heated quickly so my little one wasn't wide awake by the time the bottle was ready.

Heaters Review Broke twice
The arm sprayer on this machine broke once, so I ordered a new part from the manufacturer. After only 3 uses, the new sprayer broke. I did not order another part, I'm going to try something else (haven't decided what yet). As for the cleaning, it would clean juice stains and other miscellaneous stains (I don't have pets) well, but they would reappear after a few days of cleaning.

Heaters Review Don't throw it out!
As others have stated - it works well when it works. I was really happy with the way it cleaned. I especially liked the turbo brush. But when I went to use it for only the second time the sprayer wouldn't work - a frequent complaint I understand. You don't have to be particularly handy to fix it. You need a screw driver, a pair of pliers and a paper clip. Unplug the machine. Take the four screws from the top out. Pull the top up. Underneath you will see a black box with 4 screws - undo. Underneath the cover is heater box. Lift up and undo the 5 screws on the bottom. You will see what is causing the problem. You don't need to disconnect the wires. Release the clamps holding the plastic tubes with the pliers and gently remove the tubes. Use the paper clip, opened, to clean out the holes in the heater. It did not take long at all.

Heaters Review The Little That Finally Could
I purchased this as a replacement to an original little green machine.
The main selling points for this new Bissell were the pro heat feature, power rotating brush, easy removal and emptying of the fluid holders and an ergonomic design with cord wrap.

This new Bissell finally has enough amps to thoroughly clean and vacuums the stain you are removing.
At 9 amps, it is finally strong enough to remove almost all of the soap and wetness from the carpets lessening the air-drying time afterwards.
The unit can be a little noisy though; but how often do you clean stains anyway?

The down side of this unit is that the pro heat feature can turned on and off but not without the main power being on.
Simply put, you cannot preheat the water without having the cleaning power on as well and as I mentioned, it is a little noisy.

Heaters Review Fantastic Water Boiler
I bought this item a couple of weeks ago and I love it. It boils water quickly and looks great. However, there are a couple of things that bring down it's rating from 5 to 4 stars.

The first being the price. You're paying a premium for a sexy looking product. I don't like paying a premium for looks, but I just can't seem to help myself when it comes to kitchen goods.

The second thing is that the design makes it unsuitable for boiling anything besides water (such as heated water mixtures for various recipes).

However, if you have the extra cash and drink lots of tea, you can't go wrong with this product.

Heaters Review Great teapot
I recently purchased this teapot after viewing all of the others available on Amazon and reading all of the reviews. I am very happy with this purchase. This Capresso not only looks really cool, it heats up twice as fast as my old kettle, and it actually holds more. I like that this one has a glass kettle and a covered heating element. The little blue light on the handle is nice, but I don't notice it much. Yes, it would be nice to have the cup and ounce lines on the side of the pot rather than on the back by the handle, but I don't really use them much. I just "eye" it. It also has no "ding" when the water boils, which was kind of nice on my old one, but not really necessary. It does turn itself off perfectly when done. I got rid of my old plastic electric kettle for fear of chemicals leaching into the water and unknown metal in the heating element.

Heaters Review totally pleased
My biggest rave is the Amazon.com customer service. I fell in love with the look of this kettle and found the best price on Amazon.com (with free shipping!) When it arrived, it only worked if the kettle was oriented one way on the base -- when it boiled, the water dribbled on the cord. Called Capresso Cust Svc -- 1st person said, it's supposed to do that. After another week, it got worse. Capresso would replace it if I paid it's shipping back to them. Called Amazon.com, got another in the mail days later, post-paid shipping back the first one to them. Wow! This kettle works just fine. Very rapid boiling of water, no complaints about anything. To keep the glass and that silver dome shiny, you do need to do the vinegar thing every now and again. Couldn't be happier.

Heaters Review Used once
The product I received was not very well "Reconditioned" It stopped working after one use.
I contacted Bissell. They are willing to replace the machine. However, I am told it will take 7-10 days to send me a shipping label, 7-10 for them to receive the machine and then 7-10 more to send me a replacement. I don't have the box the cleaner came in. I need to find a box and ship it back. At very least it will be 3-4 weeks before the cleaner is replaced. I know Amazon will make it right but the aggravation with Bissell compels me to reccomend against purchasing this item.

Heaters Review Belt broke on second use
I don't think I'd buy reconditioned again. The pump belt broke the second time I used the machine. The belt was in pieces and some of it was stuck to the shaft. I made the mistake of tossing the box after my first use. The machine is heavy and I don't know how I'll take it to be serviced.

Heaters Review It's a carpet saver!
I received my Powersteamer last week and used it as soon as I assembled it which took maybe 2 minutes. It worked AWESOME! We have 2 boys & 2 dogs and thought that our beige rug was ruined in the high traffic areas. I only had to use the tough stain tool a few times and was not disappointed! I highly recommend this machine for anyone seeking a quality carpet cleaner. The reason for the missing star is that I had not received the TurboBrush, Scotchgard applicator or cartridge in my order. I notified Amazon and within 2 business days had a replacement machine. It was also missing those same items. Amazon.com has been wonderful in trying to rectify this situation for me in a timely manner.

Heaters Review Yes, it IS beautifully flawed.
Sure it's pretty, but it's also pretty useless. Like Hobbs (another reviewer) noted, the knob to hold the fan at a particular angle DOESN'T hold. So it blows air where IT wants, not where I want. Obviously, this is a problematic product. I should have known better, given how many "factory reconditioned" ones I have seen available. Gee, wonder why the factory has so many available to recondition. Dumb me for buying it. Do yourself a favor and find a real vintage fan at a thrift store.

Heaters Review Silent but flimsy - 4 stars is not what I would like to rate it.
This fan is extremely solid looking, and powerful, as well as attractive, but behaves strangely. The base and the fan seem to be assembled with some sort of floating mechanism that makes the fan seem like it just wobbles around sometimes. You can tell the second you take it out of the box. In spite of the wobbly assembly, the thing really pushes air around really well, and my air conditioning no longer seems 'stale'. I'm sure there are other fans that are more powerful, solid, inexpensive and definitely lightweight, but none are as cool looking as this one.

(Later on, after a customer inquiry to Vornados web site)
As it turns out, the fan is not supposed to be wobbly, but instead should be very sturdy. The rep told me to pack it up and send it back to the factory. That's pretty inconvenient, because this thing is going to cost me about 20 bucks to ship, let along the packaging that is going to have to be carefully engineered. Dont buy this. The situation now stinks, and by the time I get the new one, I will have paid way more than it is worth. As a matter of fact, I am sending it back to Amazon, and they can pay for the shipping label. Thanks, Amazon, for a great message board for me to vent on.

Heaters Review Good, not great..
Pros: moves a lot of air, cool retro look is appealing, nice low frequency sound for those that like the white noise of a fan while they sleep, modestly priced for a product with a lot of steel content.

Cons: cheap plastic switch that feels destined to break before long, a little difficult to clean but this isn't much different from every other fan I've owned. One of the two I own has something loose in the motor housing that results in a metal to metal bell tone when it's oscillating. Probably something I can fix but at only about three months old, something I shouldn't have to deal with.

Bottom line: a good fan with a great look but a little pricey relative to comparable plastic fans (so is everything with high steel content lately). Long term reliability is a question mark. If all you want is a fan to move some air, this isn't the fan for you.

Heaters Review It's LOUD
I've read that this was a loud little fan. I wanted it to quietly circulate the heat from the fireplace around the family roon and away from the underside of he mantle. So I figure; it's small, how loud can it be? Well I just received it and it is LOUD for such a small fan, even on it's lowest setting, but it does move quite a bit of air for such a small fan. If, like many people you want to use it for 'white noise' during those hot summer nights with the windows open, this is the fan for you. If you want quiet go fo the Lasko 3525 (I also have one of them) but it's only two speed, doesn't move nearly the same amount of air, and it's more expensive.

Heaters Review Does NOT do what it says on the box!
In the UK we had the "Trades Description Act", whereby if somebody over there sold you an air conditioner that actually made the room hotter you could sue! This is a piss poor unit, badly made, badly put together, badly designed, it is a BAD buy! Kenwood had such a good name..........once! Switch your manufacturing to China and you suffer the consequences! Avoid this like the plague, save up a bit more, wait a bit, suck ice from the fridge, anything but buy this crappy little thing! Wait until you can afford the real deal, go to a store, test and try before you buy! The Internet is NOT the best place to buy stuff like this. CDs...yes! Books...yes! Get a proper unit from an American company!! Get in yer car, drive downtown, find a family firm, ask for "Pop" or "Mom", listen to their advice, pay a bit more and you will get the benefit of their experience!

Heaters Review Well.... I like it.
After considering cutting holes in walls for wall mount units or trying to fit those ugly window jobs that always look jerry-rigged from both the inside and out I decided on a portable unit. I purchased the KW85 and had it installed within an hour after getting it home on a rather hot day. That alone was a pleasant surprise. So far (2 months later) it still works just fine.

I did take the precaution of running the dehumidifyer first for a couple of hours after initial installation so that the compressor would not be working so hard to cool the space. I also made sure that I followed the manufacturers recommendations on the unit placement and exhaust hose installation. If the intake vents are obstucted I can see how the unit would not work well, if at all.

Bottom line - if you have a minimum 3 feet x 4 feet space you can put it in and still vent properly this unit works wonderfully. If you don't have the floor space to dedicate to it and or would have to put a tight bend or more in the exhaust hose then you will likely be disappointed.

Sitting in cooled comfort with no holes in my walls... :)

ECU

Heaters Review Looks nice, works great!
