Another Great Graves Product

I bought these metal measuring spoons to replace a plastic set that got melted in the dishwasher. I won't have that problem with these. These are handy to use and can be clipped together or separated.

Really Great Measuring Spoons

I really bought these measuring spoons to match the Michael Graves measuring cups that I was planning to buy, and I am sure glad that I did. The are the easiest to use measuring spoons that I have ever used. The unique handles seem just right. You can use them equally well with either hand. It seemed with the dipper type spoons that I previously used I was always changing hands, and the spoon was always in th wrong hand. With these you can forget that. You can tell the size of each of them just by looking at them, but I wish that they would have embossed the sizes all a little larger and painted them white. Black on black is hard to see, especially when the numbers are so small.

A cool splurge

These are just nice. Nice quality, great design, decent price. They are easy to clean, easy to use, easy to hang - easy to like. Get them along with a set of the Michael Graves cups, and while your cooking may still suck, you'll at least be doing it in style.

Unbelievably bad blender

It was difficult to use, got really hot too quickly, after 10 seconds started to smell horrible.
I fought with it for 10 minutes (felt like 30) to make aioli, finally gave up after the 2nd full batch.
We're throwing it out and getting a new one.

Avoid this unit

My first impression with this unit was not good. The seperate high and low buttons push into the housing to activate, and the surrounding housing has sharp edges, so it was uncomfortable. My second impression came when I tried to use the blender on a bean soup. I felt it was ineffective, that is until I realized that the blending blade had fallen off. After sifting through the soup, I found the blade, and tried to thread it back onto the shaft, but that didn't work -- the threads wouldn't hold.

I did like the idea that the blender portion was seperate from the motor unit, and could be removed for cleaning.

This works just fine.

The trick to this blender is to not overtax it; it's NOT made to chip ice, it's made to handle lighter, softer foods.

My husband and I use ours to make smoothies and shakes, and it's perfect for that.
