I just bought a cyclone washer and am disappointed with the size of load that it's capable of washing. All ads say that it can wash, "Wash a shirt, slacks, shorts and a pair of socks in one load". I have not found this to be true. It's great for socks and underwear, but groans if I try and put anything more than a couple of shirt or one pair of slacks/jeans in a one time. It's definitely better than hand washing, but hoped that it would hold a few more items.

This machine gets alot of credit for doing a better job than handwashing my clothes in the sink!

However, it is still bit of a pain to do laundry. You still have to either hand rinse the clothes or run them thru the machine again a few times in clean water.

This washer is great for doing last-minute items, stained clothes that need to be washed NOW, if you can't scrape enough quarters together for the laundrymat, or if going to the laundrymat or having a regular size washing machine is not feasable.

The cyclone washer washmate can be tucked into the corner with little effort. So little in fact, that I didn't expect much in the way of performance from it. I was wrong. The machine does a great job of getting clothes clean. Washing does involve changing the water in the bucket two to four times depending on your preference, but I find it to be much more convenient than dragging my clothes to the laundry once a week.

Please save your time and money. The advertising is false in my book.

This steamer is no plastic toy. I had previously bought (and returned) a Shark steamer from Target. The thing was a joke. So I had low expectations to begin with.

But I began to brighten up the moment I opened the Scunci Steamer's box and began to remove the steam vessel and its various pieces.

I was impressed by the general high quality, how tough and sturdy the vessel felt in my hand. The bayonet-mount attachments snapped on to the unit with a certain precision that I would have expected from a professional shop tool, not a kitchen gadget. By the time I was ready to use the device, I was already confident that it was going to deliver quite a blast of steam.

When the ready light came on after only a short wait, I pressed down on the thumb trigger and a powerful whoosh of scalding live steam noisily hit the surface of the stove top I was aiming at. I was sold the moment I saw the baked-on residue from months of neglect melt under the heat of this water torch. Unlike its puny competitor, the Shark, this thing means business.

Anyone considering buying a steamer should understand that its not going to eliminate the need for a little scrubbing action (elbow grease), but the Scunci is hotter and more forceful than its competitor by far. To help with the tougher stuff, the Scunci comes with extra wire brush and nylon brush attachments. Indeed, just about every tool you would need, including an angle nozzle for getting under and behind hard to reach areas, are included.

I was also grateful to the designers for including a nice carrying bag for this tool and all its accessories. What a concept! When finished, you empty the remaining water in the vessel and just dump everything back in the bag and put it in storage til next time. No pieces get misplaced.

Moderate your expectations though. This is the best of breed for a household steamer device. It's not big enough or strong enough to steam clean the engine compartment on your truck. Don't expect it to do the job of an industrial steam cleaner. Scunci, I think we are going to have a long and meaningful relationship!
