    Housewares Review Does Not Work
The first Buttoneer that came out twenty years ago did a good job infastening buttons to shirts. The problem was that you could stab yourself with the sharp point. This"improved" version solves that but the plastic fasteners are too short to go through the fabric and attach the button.

A totally useless product that once was great!

Housewares Review Good Fan, Does the Job, Features are Over the Top
I wanted a floor-standing oscillating fan that didn't take up too much room. The tower design seemed perfect. I decided on Aloha after reading favorable reviews on other sites. At its most basic the fan does a great job. It moves a lot of air without generating a lot of noise especially at the lower speed settings. It is much louder at the higher settings, but at this setting it moves enough air to push every loose piece of paper to the far corner of the room. I usually use the fan in an oscillating mode, but the non-oscillating mode is a nice alternative. I would have bought the fan for these reasons alone.

As to the other features... does a fan really need a remote? LCD display? Sleep timer? Temperature-controlled speed? Maybe some folks will like these. I would have rather have saved a few bucks and done without them.

I have small concerns over the quality of the fan. When I turned it on for the first time it just hummed and moved no air. I turned it off immediately. Eventually I guessed that the fan blades just weren't getting enough oomph from the motor to start up. I turned on the fan, picked it up, and gave it a sharp quarter turn to start it moving. The fan spun up to speed and ran smoothly. I left it running for 5 minutes at it has worked perfectly ever since. I suppose the bearings were just a bit stiff coming from the factory. Perhaps quality control at the factory is not all it should be or something in the shipping process affected the mechanism.
