I was interested in the CD and credit card shredder capabilities. It feels like breaking the unit when cranking to destroy CDs. The unit feels weak and the CD breaks into only 3 pieces, which is not good since it may be reconstructed. The credit card slot breaks into only 4 pieces. What is even more stupid is that it breaks horizontally so that your CC number is still left on one piece, your signature, date of expiration, name, verification number, and the magnetic strip are all intact, being shred horizontally, and remain on one piece. I wouldn't trust my credit card or CD or DVD confidentiality with this shredder. Identity thieves will be able to retrieve your discarded information with this.
