I bought two of these from my local Target store. I'm using them to store textbooks and some paperbacks since the cabinet doors look prettier than merely having an open bookshelf. The cabinets weren't too complicated to construct. They look nice. Plus, I can reach the top shelf easily (I'm only 5'4").

Unfortunately they skimped on the construction of the posterior panel. This panel creates the back of the cabinet and was made of a cardboard/particle board material that weighs much less than each sideboard and the front cabinet doors. Because of the disproportion, you must affix the cabinet to a wall in order to keep the cabinet from falling forward.

I'm not keen on making holes in my apartment walls...I move these cabinets around from time to time. Instead of nailing them to the wall, I've settled for placing my heaviest textbooks in the bottom of the cabinets to anchor them. So far, this is working well.

If you follow my example, make sure you keep breakables out of the cabinet and away from the front of the cabinet in case it does take a nose-dive.

Overall a nice-looking, functional cabinet. Fits large and small books and binders very well in height and depth. A shame they made such a lousy back panel for this item though.

You get what you pay for, and as it goes, this is a nifty little cabinet. I didn't want to spend a bundle on a pantry just for my kitchen storage and this does the job and looks nice in my kitchen as well.
