Ironing Review NOT HAPPY
I would have to say that amazon gave me a good deal and immediate delivery.

Unfortunatly i had to return this item . I havent been satisfied because the heating element heats up on the top rather than where it has to heat up. After ironing I could still see a lot of creases. They dont mention about the base being a wood plank either.
I have used a Simplicity machine earlier and hence i know the quality of steam press but this machine is a waste of time and money. I would rather buy a normal iron to this or pay extra and buy a better one. But this is just my opinion.

Ironing Review I love it!!!
This was an impulse purchase for me and I was worried I'd have buyers remorse. As it turned out I am extremely thrilled with this press. For my needs it is perfect. I just zipped through a huge laundry basket of cloth napkins and dish towels that would have taken me about 5 times longer to iron. The day the iron arrived I ironed a huge load of t-shirts and other items that would have taken me a week to get through.

It is compact and well made. Because it doesn't emit steam it is very useful for various craft projects like embossing on velvet. The spray bottle that was included is handy when steam is needed.

Review Update:

I found the same item at the same price with FREE shipping at(...)Amazon site:
(...)
That is a savings of around $19.00 in shipping charges.

Although this other site indicates it is a steam press, I do not believe it is. It comes with a spray bottle and a travel iron just like this offer.

Ironing Review a good press for the price
I received the press today. Considering the low price, I found the press very useful. The time it takes to reach temperature is just a few minutes, it's super easy to use, and it doesn't take up a huge amount of room on my sewing table. I pressed denim shorts, ribbons, and even a very wrinkled t-shirt successfully. The press is small so I can easily move it out of the way when I need more space. I am happy with it!

Ironing Review Can't imagine anyone liked this thing.
I hate to iron and despise the cost of dry cleaning...so, I was really excited when I saw this steamer at CVS. It was reasonably priced and sounded wonderful. I was bragging about how much I loved this steamer after using it just once! It was easy and fast....then, the second time I used it---Water everywhere!

Water started to spit and spray out of the (sealed and closed) base of the steamer. I had turned the top to the locked position...but, the black rubber ring (supposed to keep the thing sealed?) was all twisted up---explaining why it wasn't working. Well, I fixed that rubber thing back into place, but it still kept spraying boiling water. SO, right now it's sitting in the corner waiting to be thrown out.

I'm very frustrated with this product, but love the way that clothes steamers work. It looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy an expensive one. But, how expensive should these things be? All they do is boil water and shoot it out of a nozzle, right?

This product is a waste of time and money...I can't believe that there were any good reviews.

Ironing Review A Big Fat Joke & A Waste Of Money
I am a trained research assistant; therefore, I try to research products before I purchase them. In the case of this purchase, I saw the item during an early bird sale at Kohls, so I grabbed it. I owned a professional steamer that was purchased at a store that was going out of buisness, but it is really bulky, so I thought that the compact steamer would be a great choice. On the contrary, it was a big waste of time trying to dewrinkle a blouse, and although it was on sale, it was a waste of money. The problems I had were:

1. The cord is too short: directions instruct user to hang nozzle on the door hook which hangs over the top of any door. The nozzle would not reach to the top of the door, and I live in a mobile home, so it is not like I have the tallest doors in a home.

2. The most important thing in steaming a garment, for me, is to avoid the garment getting wet. I did not fill the steamer to the maximum line, because I know from past experience that this could sometime cause the spitting affect. After 2 minutes of waiting for the steam, I began to try it out on a silk blouse, and what a big mistake I made. The water spat out on the material. I thought that I should not hold the nozzle so close, but it did not matter, because water continued to spit out on the blouse.

3. The steam pressure would not dewrinkle the blouse. The is not a case where the material was so hard to dewrinkle; it is silk, not that hard of a material.

I have read other reviews, and if this machine worked for them, I don't know how, but I can attest to the operation of the steamer that I purchased. I dabble in selling clothing on another website, and I have owned my other steamer since 2002, and I will continue to use it; I will just have to deal with space that it takes up in my home. Conair GS4 Compact is a bust.

Ironing Review I burned my eye pretty bad.
This is a dangerous steamer. Sometimes it will pour steaming water and burn you badly. definitely not recommended. I am throwing mine away.

Ironing Review a very good iron
very happy with the iron, big difference in ironing compare to a regular steam iron.
it only could use a bigger watertank.

Ironing Review A Different Beast!
Apparently, I am one of the few remaining individuals who feel the need for freshly ironed clothing. I've always used steam irons, Rowenta most recently, with consistently disappointing results. Over the years, I've increased my use of spray starch to make up for the power I've believed should have originated in the iron. But no more!

After deciding I wasn't ready for a presser or a mangle for my clothing, and knowing I really didn't need to press that many tablecloths, I discovered a new genre: steam generating irons. And, after some significant research, I ordered this DeLonghi model.

It is truly a different beast than anything I've ever used! What steam production!!! The temperature of the iron sole plate is controlled independently from the quantity of steam desired. Tap water is actually recommended for use. The iron, while substantial in heft, is not heavy. And the old-fashioned looking cork handle is soft, smooth and cool to the touch.

But the bottom line is the job it does on my clothing and linen! While the ads say that this machine will cut your ironing time in half, I cannot say this is true.....mainly because I find myself taking the time to marvel over how each pass with the iron produces such a professional-looking surface! Really, the only thing that's been halved is my use of spray starch, which is an unforseen and welcome benefit!

Am I happy with my new "beast?" You bet! Would I buy another? No way....I suspect this well-designed machine is going to last me a long, long time. But can I recommend one for you? Without reservation!

Ironing Review Best Iron I have owned!
I love steam generating irons but had a bad experience with my prior iron. I bought a Euro Pro steam generating iron and after about two years it stopped steaming. I thought it should have lasted a lot longer. I contacted HSN, the company I bought it from, and complained. They passed the buck to the manufacturer. When I finally got the manufacturer to respond they wanted me to pay to ship the iron to them and pay for repairs. The Euro Pro iron was a bad investment from the start: It needed distilled water and, after I had trouble with it,I learned that the iron had a history of problems that the manufacturer did not address.

The DeLonghi Stiromeglio Compact PRO 300 Iron is a joy. It works beautifully and uses tap water. I researched the product and company and bought the iron because of the warranty and features. So far so good...

Ironing Review ironing board
very stable, very wide, takes special ironing board cover... an additional expense. Also, must take new larger storage area into consideration, will not fit where standard board fits. Otherwise, it's great!

Ironing Review Makes ironing more convenient.
This board is wider making it more convenient for pressing while sewing and quilting. The iron holder is very conveniently placed and it is to easy to park the iron without it falling on the floor. I am happy with this purchase!

Ironing Review Great product!
I am very pleased with the fact that this device actually works! I moisten the waistband with a spray bottle of water and apply the stretcher. The waistband stretches and dries overnight and I can fasten my jeans in the morning! The only suggestion I would give is to make it wider and possibly tapered toward the crotch so there isn't such a distinct difference between the stretched area at the waistband and the middle abdomen. But it truly does make a difference in being able to wear a pair of jeans or not, and I am satisfied with it!

Ironing Review wow it really worked!!
I had purchased some really expensive jeans two years ago and although I haven't gained weight, my waistline seems to be growing with a slight tire!! anyway I took the jeans to a tailor to give me about an inch room and well i got home and it didn't work. Then I bought this stretcher and I cannot believe that it worked this well. It works really well on anything that already has a little stretch. Definitely worth the money!
