Ironing Review Nope
If you can open the cap and refill the tank while the iron is still on then its just a water "reservoir" tank and NOT a pressurized steam generator (like the higher end Rowentas). This is why it tends to spurt water after hitting the button a few times..the iron is not able to convert the water to steam fast enough. If you want steady, consistant steam delivery, than consider an iron with a pressurized tank.

Ironing Review Great while it worked, but died pretty fast
I used this for less than a year before it totally died.

It was great when it was working though.
The unit will no longer turn on.
That's pretty disappointing.

Ironing Review great generator iron!
this iron is a wonderful product because it is compact as generator irons go, and the way it is designed, the water tank can be refilled while it is on. the steam generated by it is as powerful as an industrial iron's and this one is far more economical. It is an excellent product.

Ironing Review Excellent
This iron greatly exceeded my expectations. The steam is terrific, it doesn't leak at all and it is very stable when standing on its own. I have already recommended this to several of friends and would recommend this to anyone.

Ironing Review Best iron I've ever had
I'm 40 years old, and ironing my clothes (& washing my car) have now taken over as my top stress relieving chores. I'll put on my Star Wars DVDs, and set up my ironing board every Sunday.
In the past, I have been hell on irons. Usually, they break within the first couple months..usually throwing up dirty water, leaking out the bottom, or I've dropped it. I've tried every brand, from the cheapie Proctor Silex, to the top of the line Rowentas, the digital kind by Panasonic to the old timey heavy kind by Black and Decker, and NONE of these can hold a candle to the Tfals.
I bought my first one in 1999. It lasted until 2001, when I put it on my stove to cool and then inadvertently turned the wrong burner on, heating up the iron, popping the thermostat, and pretty much melting the darn thing. I bought another one from Amazon, and have used it since.
I bought another one last year, and put the older one up as a backup.
You just can't beat these things...they are easy to clean, easy to fill, they have lots and lots of steam holes...not to mention the burst of steam feature, and the different adjustment dials for different materials and steam output. And they make the hardest things to iron, easier to handle.
Now, if I could just stop burning myself on the stupid things!!

Ironing Review initial problem but not sure now....
The first time I used it I experienced what appeared to be a sudden uncontrollable draining of the water deposit. The iron was hot but the water just leaked out obviously cooling the plate in the process. The instructions didn't really explain what this could be however I have since used it without any problems.

The iron is a treat to use and at the lower price (and assuming the above problem doesn't reoccur) its a bargain.

I'd recommend getting the new ironing board from IKEA (the most expensive one) to use with it. Its also a bargain sompared to the Rowenta ones (although admittedly I have seen or used one).

Its sturdy and feels comfortable to use.

There is some sort of guarantee and so if it reoccurs I will be calling and will let you know how the experience goes....

Ironing Review Excellent Iron
I have tried this iron for about 2 weeks now and it is an excellent choice. We love it...

Ironing Review It was good for a year
I was looking forward to a brand new iron. One that would not clog, leak, ooze or scorch my fabrics.

I use my iron daily. The cord reel is such a neat feature. I almost never dealt with spewing of minerals from the steam holes (occassionally, as the iron was heating up, but it was predictable). I loved the fact that it turned itself off when left in the upright position (standing on its base).

Yesterday my iron, which I purchsed just one year ago, got extremely hot. It got so hot I could smell the iron and when I tried turning it off, nothing happened. It stayed hot. So I had to unplug it. Today? Nothing. RIP Panasonic Steam Iron with Cord Reel NI-R54NR. You were good while you lasted (I just wish you had lasted longer).

Ironing Review Excellent for the price
Just bought this iron at Sam's Club for $20. Didn't expect much...works great so far, and the retracting cord should eliminate the cord getting damaged like our previous irons. It doesn't have a non-stick surface, haven't used it enough to know if this will be a problem or not.

Ironing Review Great and Convienent
This Iron works great. No leaks and the retractable cord is the greatest. I bought this Iron when it was Brand-new about 3 years ago and paid way more then it is now. It is a steal.... You should not pass it up!!! It has auto shut off and will do so when left in the done position or when it falls. It also cools relatively fast. Enjoy!

Ironing Review for shame
it took 3 refills to steam one skirt,
and what is with having to hold the
button down ?
Black and Decker...for shame

Ironing Review Bloody worthless.
Good lord. I wish I had read the reviews for this before buying it locally. Now my shirt is WET and wrinkled. Hooray! Does not steam. Does not... do... anything worthwhile. I am taking it straight back to the store. Does not perform how I expected it to.

Ironing Review Nice but a bit complicated
Works excellently! But, a bit ocmplicated to figure out! Well worth the money but use it on a day you have time to play around with it first! I tried to rush and get ready and it was not a turn on and go thing.....you need to give yourself time to see how it works. Once one and figured out great!

Ironing Review don't bother
This model has a lot wrong with it. First of all, there is no switch to turn the steam off while you are using it, and even worse, there's no good place to rest the hose producing the steam while you change out the garments if you actually want to do more than one article of clothing at a time. Furthermore, the steamer itself does not work well, and does not efficiently remove wrinkles from clothing.

Ironing Review COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!
This thing is an absolute disaster. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I've tried several times to use this piece of junk, and every single time I get irritated and just wear wrinkled clothes. First of all, it takes longer than an iron to build up steam. Second, it runs out of steam a lot and then you have to wait again for it to build up. Third, if you try to steam any material other than ultra-thin women's dress clothes, you are in for a treat - a 10-20 minute treat of trying to get the wrinkles out. I mean....I can iron 5 shirts in the time it takes to get one shirt sort-of-wrinkle-free. Keep in mind these are men's dress shirts with lots of creases, etc. I'm sure a dress or skirt would be much easier. Oh, lets add the fact that the thing takes up a ton of closet space.

Bottom line: if you have tons of time to waste, money to waste, closet space, and a LOT of patience, you might like this. I for one will be wearing wrinkled clothes or using an iron from now on.

Ironing Review DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!
i have a lot of experience with steamers over the years - mine as well as others used in stores. stupid me, then, for not realizing that you get what you pay for. my jiffy steamer finally died after nine years, but it served me well. it is a machine of substance, solid parts, very stable. trust me - you don't want to scrimp when it comes to working with a device designed to produce streams of hot steam! i foolishly tried to save some money by getting the conair gs10rh, and i'm returning it immediately. the well into which the telescoping pole sits is just about 1 inch deep - not deep enough to keep the pole stable. the brackets to hold the telescoped parts extended aren't firm - any heavy jacket will make them slide. the housing itself is amazingly lightweight; i thought that was a good thing, but now i know why the jiffy steamer's housing seems like it weighs a ton - you really do want the unit to be solidly anchored. handling a steamer is a serious matter. don't take on unnecessary risk by getting an inexpensive, poorly designed, lightweight steamer like the conair. spend the extra money for the product that has been the standard bearer for years: jiffy. you won't regret it. and even though mine died after nine years, i have no regrets, and now i'll do the right thing and get another.

Ironing Review Jobar Folding Clothes Rack
I was not pleased with this clothes rack. I have an old one that I like and wanted another just like it. The Jobar rack was poorly made. Some screws were not long enough to even reach the hole they were to be screwed into. One of the welded pieces fell out while assembling the unit. On the whole, I felt the rack was worthless. The concept is good as I said, and my old unit [about 8 years old] is still going strong.

Ironing Review (2) Jobar folding clothes racks
The rack has good value for what it is to be used for. Of the 2 purchased, one went together with no problems at all. The other had one crosspiece anchor pop out requiring a fix and 2 of the holes didn't line up exactly requiring a little drill work. After that it looks like it will be good as new.

Ironing Review Don't waste your money.
I plugged it in and got through 1 shirt before it shut itself off and never worked again. I guess you get what you pay for.

Ironing Review Don't waste your money!
I thought this little steamer would be perfect for removing wrinkles before I leave the house for work. It worked great the first time that I used it, but that was it. Since then it spurts water over the clothing, leaving large wet spots-what a mess! It is also dangerous, because the steaming water spurts onto exposed skin as well. I am careful not to fill the reservoir above the fill line. I have gone back to using a wet towel and hairdryer to freshen clothing before I leave the house.

Ironing Review Convenient and fast
Used this product on chiffon material. It was very easy and convenient to use and smoothed out the wrinkles very easily. It's compact size makes it easy to store. It heats up quickly and makes a lot of steam. I am pleased with my purchase.
