Love it!
Great Waffle MakerDon't be fooled by the price, this waffle maker is great. The Mickey shape is a nice size that doesn't take too long to get done and the clean-up is easy. The cartoons on the outside are cute. I am very happy with this purchase.

Not so sure about the preseasoned finishEarlier today I noticed all of the Lodge Logic SKILLETS in a local store were chipped or had some peeling on the handle....When I opened my new Deep Fry Kit I notice the same flaw on it....I think it has something to do with the pre seasoned finish and they way it is applied. The pan desserves high marks for performance.
Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Deep Fry KitThis is an awesome product, I love cast iron cookware and you can know it will work well or they replace it or try to fix it. I highly recommend Lodge Logic products! =)

good with bad Delicious waffles, 4 at a time, handle is hot, hard to know when waffles are ready, hard to clean
Do you want a great Waffle Maker? We tried several waffle makers. That includes the professional Wells brand you see in restaurants. If you want a great waffle maker then go to Williams-Sonoma and get the Kitchen Aid Professional one. First, there are no cleanup issues at all. I mean zero. Second, it makes two at once which means eveyone eats hot waffles straight from the waffler. Third, it cooks 'em perfect every time. The only possible negative is the cost at around $350. Yikes. However, if you buy from Wiliams-Sonoma you get their customer service and that means you can return nearly forever if it has a problem. We recently returned a kettle two years later with no questions asked. We also use the Classique Fare Beligian Waffle Mix another reviewer metioned. We tried about 20 different mixes.
Nonsensical red & green lights - easy to forget & burnIt makes great waffles. Preheat, and mist top & bottom with canola oil (I like a refillable pump). Then pour the batter in the center and it distributes well by flowing naturally. It makes good waffles. To avoid damaging the non-scratch surface, use a plastic fork or the tool that comes with a George Foreman grill. If you preheat with a mist of oil, and remove the waffles not prematurely, they should not stick. Also if your recipe has some oil in it, that helps. I love how it stands up in the cupboard. I have always lifted the handle by the plastic clip, so no complaints about handle temperature.
MY COMPLAINT -- The red and green lights make no sense. Red means it's the correct temperature and Green means busy cooking - don't open yet. But the lights are not labeled, and if you make waffles infrequently it's hard to remember which light is which. Also when the Green light turns off, it's time to open and remove the waffles, but that's the only indication you get. When the Green light turns off there is a very quiet little "pop" sound but if you are busy setting the table or frying bacon you will NEVER hear it and end up with burned waffles.
KRUPS -- Please make it beep when ready, and also consider building it round because batter flows evenly in a circle, not in square shapes.

I can't believe I didn't buy it soonerThis pot rocks. You'll fall in love with it the first time you cook with it. It browns well, cleans easily, and goes from the stove to the oven to the table in style.
My only complaint is that mine arrived slightly chipped, but the chips don't seem to affect its performance, so I didn't send it back.

Heavy, beautifully made, did I mention HEAVY?All Le Creuset is beautiful--you can hang them on your pot rack & just ogle them, altho they are also great to use! This 6-3/4 Quart Oval French Oven weighs at least 14 lbs, & I think the weight & quality is obviously part of the appeal. But, if you have a "bad back", or are "downsizing" & packing to move, as I am, the weight can turn into a negative. Also, you should check around for price--I'm pretty sure Amazon had these at a much lower price a week or 2 ago, & there also good deals on the main online auction site. BTW, I have the Citrus Yellow, which is my favorite color.
Everything everyone says it is!I guess I don't have a lot to add to what everyone else has said, but Le Creuset is the bomb! I got one of these for my birthday, and absolutely love using it.
It's great for one-pot cooking too. Brown your meat, then deglaze and make your sauce, braise, whatever. I also love it for making stock or soups.
Cooks evenly, even on a disgustingly old electric range.

Works well, but gets grungy easilyThis steamer is great for dumplings and vegetables, though its shape makes it difficult to tell how much water is left in the pot you're steaming it over, and the bamboo comes into contact with very hot pans, producing a slight smoky smell sometimes. The more you use it, the more the bamboo will relax with age. My only real problem with this steamer is that it's somewhat small (6" diameter), but I couldn't find a larger one.
Try it for steaming vegetables, fish, or even rice. Inexpensive, but well-made.

Lid fits tighter than Staub ovenI first bought a Staub 2-qt oven to make one pot meals. The lid has three raised bumps around the lip of the lid. Too much steam escapes and the upper layer of vegetables dried out. This Le Creuset lid sits perfectly flat and less moisture escapes. A very good product for my application.

Great Shape for Other UsesI've owned this waffle iron for a few years. My only complaint is that the cooking range is on the light side. The middle of the range delivers a waffle that is quite light and not crispy. I find that if I use a more done setting and then put the waffles in an oven to finish and to keep warm, then it's better.
I've used the waffle iron to make corn meal waffles and then served the sections with guacamole as an hor-d'ouvre. Because of the shape it is great for lots of things. Using the sections for ice cream or fruit is also good.
So I recommend it although getting it to make the perfect waffle takes practice.

Good Product :) This is the first waffle maker that I have purchased, and it has worked very well for me. The "annoying bird noise" alarm really got on my nerves the first few times that I used it, but now we are used to it. I like the loud noise, because I get easily distracted, and I do not forget about waffles cooking when I am washing dishes or paying bills next to the counter.
It took a few tries to figure out how thick the batter should be for even cooking, and now we have a nice consistency that doesn't end up a little underdone in the middle. (It rises up more in front, but that doesn't bother us. The waffles get eaten too fast to worry about one side being slightly higher than the other.)
I tell my girls that the heart shaped design shows them that I love them every day, and they love it because they think it looks like a flower. They find it easy to pull the pieces apart and dip.
I like the adjustable setting which allows for lighter waffles on a lower setting, regular waffles on a 4-5 setting, and really crisp waffles for me on the 6 setting. I don't have to keep lifting the lid to guess when the waffle will be done.
The waffle maker is extremely easy to wipe clean, even when you spill batter on the front. We haven't had any problems with the waffles sticking unless the maker wasn't hot enough and needed a little more time to warm up.
The only "problem" I have had with the maker is when I accidentally dropped it into my dish bucket of water and the alarm didn't work the next time I used it. After one use, though, it is working fine.
We really enjoy being able to make large batches of waffles for a lot less money than buying frozen waffles in the store. We also like being able to easily add different ingredients to the waffles, such as melted chocolate or chopped pecans. As a first time user of a waffle maker, I am very glad that I purchased this product.
The waffle recipe I have found to be a good consistency:
2 large eggs
2c all purpose flour
2c milk
1/2c vegetable oil
1T light brown sugar
4t baking powder
1/4t salt
1. Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs in large bowl until fluffy. Sift flour into bowl and add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
2. Using "ice cream scoop", scoop one portion scoop of batter in a circle close to the edges and one scoop into the middle. (this distributes the batter a little more evenly to fill out the heart.) Close lid and cook until done.
3. Use tongs to remove the waffle, placing on a plate bottom side up.

Works like a charm and never needs oiling! This is a great waffle iron. I like the fact that you never have to oil it. Though that also may depend on your batter recipe. I just know that the old iron I had prior to this, did need oiling every other waffle. What a pain and not as healthy.
Some have mentioned the alarm is annoying. Personally I prefer it, whatever the sound. I have been known to always forget the last one and burn it to a crisp. Now that's hard to do with this handy little alarm.

The waffler is easy to use, easy to clean, and it's easy to store. Plus, you can't beat the price
