This is a great fondue pot -- heavy Le Creuset porcelain coated cast iron heats evenly, first on the stove (or in a hot water bath for chocolate), then maintains a good table temp once you move it to its own burner. At 2 quarts, it's big enough for a table full of party munchers, as a first course, a winter snack, a desert, or a main course.

Best of all, it cleans up easily like all the heavy Le Creuset -- staying crisp-clean so it looks brand new every time you use it.

My only reservation -- and it's a small one -- is that it doesn't come with its own made-to-fit trivit or table-protecting tray. First because there is no built in protection for the tabletop from the heat of the burner, and then because there is no extended surface to protect from drips. Of course, any trivit, lazy susan, or table cloth with fix these problems.

I've made 3 kinds of cheese fondue, and hot green chili queso dip, and a simple pot of chocolate fondue for sponge cake and fruit bites and the results were all simple and wonderful.

This is the worst steamer I've ever had. It would not heat up so the steam would come out and the top does not stay on.

I saw these pans being used by Paula Deen to make cornbread to go with the fish she was cooking. I just had to have them and found them on Amazon. They are cute and fun to use, although it is a little tricky at first knowing how much to fill each one. (I had a few disasters with them rising out of the pans at first!) Once you get the hang of it, they make the perfect cornbread to go with any dish - and the kids love them!

I LIKE THE DUTCH OVEN VERY MUCH. HOWEVER, I THOUGHT I WAS BUYING THIS ITEM AND WAS GOING TO RECEIVE A TEA POT ALONG WITH THIS ORDER. I TRIED TO CONTACT YOU, BUT WAS UNABLE TO. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS.

This is one of the best items to have in your kitchen. It means 1-pot cooking when you're making stews, soups or casseroles from scratch. The finish is fabulous and it stays that way. It's pretty enough to serve from at the table. This size is great for anything up to a moderate sized chicken or pot roast. It heats evenly and retains the heat well. I love love love this french oven. I'm going to aim toward filling my kitchen with Le Creuset from now on!

Just want to let you all know that the lid of this 4-1/2 quart pan also fits the 9-1/2" inch Tarte Tatin/Anniversary pan ...

I wanted to buy a small Buffet Casserole (the 2-quart size) to cook chicken & rice or pork chops when it's just my husband and myself, but I decided to buy the Tarte Tatin/"Anniversary" pan (same pan, two different names) instead for two reasons:

1) One less lid in the cupboard
2) I thought the shape of the anniversary pan's flat bottom would be a little bit more useful (I can make Tarte tatin of course, but also: regular cakes (come out delicious, just line this pan with parchment paper -- the cake comes out so perfect you may throw away your cake pans to make space for more Le Creuset cookware, lol), quiche/one pot breakfasts, etc.

Because I can use a lid on top of the anniversary pan, I can also use that anniversary pan to cook dishes with rice in them, poach chicken breats, etc.

Of course, read all the other reviews about this 4-1/2 quart size pan. It's the perfect size pan to cook meals for 6 people.

FYI: If you are trying to decide what size to buy, just to let you know Le Creuset recommends that you choose a pan size where the contents of what you are trying to cook fills the pan at least 50%, if not three-quarters of the way full to the top, to make the most of the radient heat qualities of cast iron (with this cast iron pan, the heat not only travels through the bottom of the pan, but also up the sides -- very different from your usual stainless steal or alumninum pan, which is why you use lower heat with these pans than with stainless steel pans).

If you use too large of a pan, your ingredients may dry out before they are cooked all the way through. Also, if you are cooking rice, if there is too much space at the top (if your pan is only 25 percent full), you may not get enough steam pressure to cook the rice all the way through.

If this is your first pan, get the size of pan you'll use the most of the time, not the size you use when you cook for company. These pans are so addictive, you'll can always buy the bigger size later for specialty recipes.

This 4-1/2 quart is perfect for cooking for 3 to 6 people.

The 3-1/2 quart is perfect for 2 to 4 people.

The 2-1/2 quart is good for 1 or 2 people, or rice for 4 people.

I was happy with this product until I went to put new water in the tank....THE CAP WOULD NOT SCREW BACK ON!!!!! I called the company and they sent me a new one. It looked somewhat different, so I assumed they had fixed the problem. Again, it worked great until I had to add new water. THE SAME THING HAPPENED!!!!. The cap design is faulty. Do not waste your money on this item. I am going to try to get a refund.

I was just doing an online search because I thought my son had lost a valve for the one gallon removable water tank and I was looking to buy another water tank. I owe him an apology. Obviously I'm not the only one with this problem! The steam is powerful and I would be ecstatic about the steamer if the water tank held water.

I should have read the reviews before plunking out $160 at Bed Bath & Beyond for this. I have used it a couple times and have had no luck removed wrinkles from my clothing (significant enough to tell). I agree with the reader who said to stick with your iron (sadly enough for me).

It really helps the presentation for serving fajitas. I would recomend buying more than one if you want to serve more than one person, or two light eaters. The pour spouts work great, and seasoning this was much easier than my Dutch oven.

It's a very nice set for the price. I always wanted the ones just like the restaurants and these fit the bill. They retain heat well and look great. The only thing that takes getting used to is the cleaning process so they won't rust but so far so good.

This is great for cooking fahitas on the grill . Great product Would recommend for all barbeque geeks lol!
