Perfect for Multiple OccasionsCast iron is a great surface to cook on. For many people they are hesitant to use cast iron because they believe food sticks too much. If the griddle is seasoned properly, and not scrubbed clean with a scouring pad and soap, food rarely sticks. To season the pan simply lightly oil the pan surfaces and bake for half an hour. When I make pancakes I do a quick re-seasoning by making sure the griddle is hot before I put any oil or food on it. Then, prior to making my first pancake, I spread a light coat of batter on the cooking surface and let it brown up good. I then scrape it off with my thinnest steel spatula. Now I'm ready to cook perfect pancakes that turn easily, without sticking. If you still have a sticking problem, try making smaller cakes--they're easier to handle.
Anyway, I highly recommend this product. I also use mine on camping trips and do not hesitate to throw it on top of hot coals. The thing is indestructible, and the more you use it, the better it gets.

Make pot roast with it.First the positives:
It's Attractive
It's heavy weight
It's got a heavy, tight fitting lid which won't let moisture escape
Easy to Clean
Retains alot of heat
Goes in the Oven
Non-Reactive cooking surface
Le Creuset is a Reputable manufacturer with great customer service
I make delicious Pot Roast, Chile, braised Cabbage
Negatives:
The Handle on the lid broke on the first day. They Sent me a new one very fast with no hassle.
The new lid handle won't stay perfectly tight, but it works.
They should use a riveted metal handle
I think the bottom cooking surface is becoming slightly roughened from use.
Doesn't brown meats evenly, especially at the recomended medium heat.
Some people might not like the heavy weight.
I have nothing to compare it to, so I don't know for sure if it's better

A Triple Delight! Le Creuset Cookware is worth its weight in gold!!A triple delight?? You get a 2 quart pot which is perfect for sauces, rice, potatoes, hot chocolate, puddings, heating and reheating food, etc.. The pot comes with an air tight lid. And the lid turns into the best omelet pan I have ever owned.
As extra bonuses - there's a lifetime warranty on all Le Creuset cookware. I have been using Le Creuset for 30+ years now, and have never had to replace anything. Still, it's good to know the company is confident enough to guarantee their superb products for-almost-ever! And aesthetically, Le Creuset is beautiful. Their colors are vibrant and the consumer can mix and match, as I do - my kitchen is in the primary colors, so I use red, blue and yellow - or you can purchase the cookware in just one color. It's perfect for bringing to the table, too.
Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. It is so durable, that you'll be able to pass it on to the next generation. My grandmother gave me her own 7 quart French (Dutch) Oven, when I got married. I still have it and it's in great shape! Le Creuset is expensive, but it is THE BEST and is well worth every penny! Highest recommendations!

A daily workhorseCouple this with Scanpan's 3.25-qt stock pot, which is a highly useful, very-high-quality, easy-to-handle multi-use pot (including boiling pasta for 1 or 2 people), and you've got a great glass lid that fits perfectly on this omelet pan. Then you can turn this omelet pan into a saute pan, say for braising tender boneless chicken breasts with lime butter. Mmmm.....
If you need something bigger, get the 3-qt/9.5" LeCreuset multifunction pan and couple it with the 4-qt/9.25" Scanpan stock pot. But I like the handiness of this size combo.
can you beat two-for-one le creuset???
