Irons Review Wrong Photo
This would be a great buy if the picture and the product description matched. The picture shows the Lewis & Clark commemorative oven, but the product code indicates the standard Logic 12" oven. This is a common error on the part of Amazon, mismatched picture and product. Also, be careful of their pricing claims, on the 8" oven they advertise lowest price of the season, but the oven was $8 cheaper the week before. Make sure you know your product before you buy - save yourself a major disappointment.
Update 6/30/04: Getting closer to the truth, the picture is now correct for the product, but the description is still off. Per Lodge, the depth of the L12CO3 is 3 3/4 inches, not 4. This could possibly mislead people into believing the advertised oven is the "deep" version.

GREAT OVEN FOR THE PRICE. SHIPPING COST ARE A LITTLE HIGH. ONLY USED THIS OVEN ONCE SO FAR. I WENT ONLINE FOR RECIPES, WHICH THERE ARE HUNDREDS. WE COOKED A COBBLER, AND MAN WAS IT TASTY. IF YOUR INTO OUTDOOR COOKING THIS IS IT. I CANT WAIT TO USE IT AGAIN. CLEANUP WAS A BREEZE. I RECOMEND THIS TO ANYONE

Irons Review Recommended by experts and doesn't disappoint
Before my wife and I were recently married, we both enjoyed camping with groups. Now we are establishing our own collection of camping equipment, and enjoying camping on our own. In studying camping, I became intrigued by the Dutch oven, and the fact that you can do about anything with it you can with a stove and oven at home - bake, broil, boil, fry, roast, etc. Mainly, I dreamed of making a pizza in camp!

Reasearching many publications by Dutch oven fanatics, one thing was consistent: Lodge is the best. They also recommend starting with a 12" oven, as most recipes are for this size. (Probably because a 12" oven has nearly the same bottom area as a standard 9x13 baking dish or cake pan.)

I can't compare against any other makes, as I don't have any, but this oven does not disappoint. It seems well-made, and the lid fits precisely as it should.

I didn't want to pay extra for the seasoning, but with Super Saver shipping, Amazon was selling this for almost half what I could get the non-pre-seasoned model for shipped from anywhere else. (Most mail-order retailers add an additional fee for the heavy Dutch oven on top of their regular shipping charge.) I am amazed at how easy it is to clean, even with my amateur experiments. I haven't had to use any more than very little scrubbing with a Scotch-Brite pad to get a few stubborn spots off, and the pre-seasoning allowed me to bake with it the evening it arrived!

In the first week, I've tried brownies, pizza, sourdough rolls, cinnamon rolls, baked macaroni and cheese, and fried up bacon on the lid. I'm looking forward to getting a lifetime of use out of this, and will shortly add some other sizes. (I suspect the 8" will be better for casserole-type meals for just me and my wife.)

Irons Review solid, well-made, and excellant
this is by far the best wok i've ever used. comparing with other wok, this is heavier (the only setback i can think of) but sturdy and solid. the wok heats up rapidly and food cooked very evenly and fast. if you do alot of stirred fry then this wok should be considered. for serious cook only.

Irons Review Perfect for One and Good for the Collection
This is a great pot for making small batches of soup and casseroles for one. I also think the design is beautiful. All Clad quality means that it heats evenly and quickly. Because it has the stainless finish, it is dishwasher safe. Barkeepers Friend keeps it looking good.

I think it is a very versatile pot; it's a great size for making side dishes for family meals.

    Irons Review My favorite pan
This is one of my favorite pans. I love making casseroles and this pan is just the right size for me, I always have enough left overs for taking to work. I think I hear some chicken and dumplins calling me from the kitchen right now...

Irons Review Best waffles in town
    Hi,
I would like to say that my waffle maker was delivered in record time and that it was what I expected no surprises. I would recommend this avenue to purchasing items.

    Irons Review Best waflles
I received a Toastmaster waffle baker, model 252 about 23 years ago, it still works well but it got dropped on the handle, so now it is difficult to manage. I came online to find another one just like the one I had. So I'm please to find another one. When the kids were home I would make waffles to get them out of bed.

Irons Review Toastmaster 200 Waffle Baker
I have had this exact model for over 30 years. On countless occasions it has made perfect waffles. I won it at a raffle in 1975 when I was 20 years old. It still makes great waffles but the cord finally gave out. I was thrilled to see that this make and model is still available. I am definitely purchasing a new one and hope it lasts 30 years like my old one. I will be 80 years old by then. Yikes! Great product!

    Irons Review don't bother
This model has a lot wrong with it. First of all, there is no switch to turn the steam off while you are using it, and even worse, there's no good place to rest the hose producing the steam while you change out the garments if you actually want to do more than one article of clothing at a time. Furthermore, the steamer itself does not work well, and does not efficiently remove wrinkles from clothing.

Irons Review COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!
This thing is an absolute disaster. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I've tried several times to use this piece of junk, and every single time I get irritated and just wear wrinkled clothes. First of all, it takes longer than an iron to build up steam. Second, it runs out of steam a lot and then you have to wait again for it to build up. Third, if you try to steam any material other than ultra-thin women's dress clothes, you are in for a treat - a 10-20 minute treat of trying to get the wrinkles out. I mean....I can iron 5 shirts in the time it takes to get one shirt sort-of-wrinkle-free. Keep in mind these are men's dress shirts with lots of creases, etc. I'm sure a dress or skirt would be much easier. Oh, lets add the fact that the thing takes up a ton of closet space.

Bottom line: if you have tons of time to waste, money to waste, closet space, and a LOT of patience, you might like this. I for one will be wearing wrinkled clothes or using an iron from now on.

Irons Review DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL!
i have a lot of experience with steamers over the years - mine as well as others used in stores. stupid me, then, for not realizing that you get what you pay for. my jiffy steamer finally died after nine years, but it served me well. it is a machine of substance, solid parts, very stable. trust me - you don't want to scrimp when it comes to working with a device designed to produce streams of hot steam! i foolishly tried to save some money by getting the conair gs10rh, and i'm returning it immediately. the well into which the telescoping pole sits is just about 1 inch deep - not deep enough to keep the pole stable. the brackets to hold the telescoped parts extended aren't firm - any heavy jacket will make them slide. the housing itself is amazingly lightweight; i thought that was a good thing, but now i know why the jiffy steamer's housing seems like it weighs a ton - you really do want the unit to be solidly anchored. handling a steamer is a serious matter. don't take on unnecessary risk by getting an inexpensive, poorly designed, lightweight steamer like the conair. spend the extra money for the product that has been the standard bearer for years: jiffy. you won't regret it. and even though mine died after nine years, i have no regrets, and now i'll do the right thing and get another.

    Irons Review A nice pot
A very nice pot, however, don't do like I did...I accidently left it on the stove with boiling water (I was interrupted by my friendly neighbor)and when I came back, the bottom of the pot was ruined. This is now on my wish list!

    Otherwise, an excellent product!

    Irons Review Le Creuset
Great cookware. I have three sizes of the round french ovens. They stay out on the stove used daily.

    Irons Review Fantastic pot
I received this for Christmas and use it almost every day. So far nothing has stuck, not even when I burned the pudding (it came out with a rubber scrapper). It is a breeze to clean and a joy to use. I will definitly buy more.
