If you can open the cap and refill the tank while the iron is still on then its just a water "reservoir" tank and NOT a pressurized steam generator (like the higher end Rowentas). This is why it tends to spurt water after hitting the button a few times..the iron is not able to convert the water to steam fast enough. If you want steady, consistant steam delivery, than consider an iron with a pressurized tank.

I used this for less than a year before it totally died.

It was great when it was working though.
The unit will no longer turn on.

this iron is a wonderful product because it is compact as generator irons go, and the way it is designed, the water tank can be refilled while it is on. the steam generated by it is as powerful as an industrial iron's and this one is far more economical. It is an excellent product.

This iron greatly exceeded my expectations. The steam is terrific, it doesn't leak at all and it is very stable when standing on its own. I have already recommended this to several of friends and would recommend this to anyone.

I'm 40 years old, and ironing my clothes (& washing my car) have now taken over as my top stress relieving chores. I'll put on my Star Wars DVDs, and set up my ironing board every Sunday.
In the past, I have been hell on irons. Usually, they break within the first couple months..usually throwing up dirty water, leaking out the bottom, or I've dropped it. I've tried every brand, from the cheapie Proctor Silex, to the top of the line Rowentas, the digital kind by Panasonic to the old timey heavy kind by Black and Decker, and NONE of these can hold a candle to the Tfals.
I bought my first one in 1999. It lasted until 2001, when I put it on my stove to cool and then inadvertently turned the wrong burner on, heating up the iron, popping the thermostat, and pretty much melting the darn thing. I bought another one from Amazon, and have used it since.
I bought another one last year, and put the older one up as a backup.
You just can't beat these things...they are easy to clean, easy to fill, they have lots and lots of steam holes...not to mention the burst of steam feature, and the different adjustment dials for different materials and steam output. And they make the hardest things to iron, easier to handle.
Now, if I could just stop burning myself on the stupid things!!

This Wine Rack is pretty. The price is good. Looking at the enlarged pictures, the wood looks nice but with the showy hardware to hold the rack together, it looks a little tacky.

The pinnacle of technology is here! Any video card that can iron your clothes and look cool all at the same time gets two BIG thumbs up.

I was looking forward to a brand new iron. One that would not clog, leak, ooze or scorch my fabrics.

I use my iron daily. The cord reel is such a neat feature. I almost never dealt with spewing of minerals from the steam holes (occassionally, as the iron was heating up, but it was predictable). I loved the fact that it turned itself off when left in the upright position (standing on its base).

Yesterday my iron, which I purchsed just one year ago, got extremely hot. It got so hot I could smell the iron and when I tried turning it off, nothing happened. It stayed hot. So I had to unplug it. Today? Nothing. RIP Panasonic Steam Iron with Cord Reel NI-R54NR. You were good while you lasted (I just wish you had lasted longer).

Just bought this iron at Sam's Club for $20. Didn't expect much...works great so far, and the retracting cord should eliminate the cord getting damaged like our previous irons. It doesn't have a non-stick surface, haven't used it enough to know if this will be a problem or not.

This Iron works great. No leaks and the retractable cord is the greatest. I bought this Iron when it was Brand-new about 3 years ago and paid way more then it is now. It is a steal.... You should not pass it up!!! It has auto shut off and will do so when left in the done position or when it falls. It also cools relatively fast. Enjoy!

The price of this iron was reduced to $24.99 with the purpoose of missing the $25 order for free shipping, then they trap you into buying another item or pay over $7 for shipping. Now, to make matters worse, they omitted the most important feature of the iron; that the soleplate is aluminum.

I have been sewing for years and an iron is a big part of sewing. I have owned very expensive irons that worked well, but have their drawbacks, price being one of them. I love this iron. It is the perfect weight, sole plate is very nice, easy to clean, cord is durable, temp settings are true to temps, I don't burn my hand with the burst of steam or on continueous steam. The price is the same I paid 7 years ago. I was surprised to find this iron is still around. They always seem to discontinue a good thing. I still use the first iron, it has been dropped on carpeted flooring and is just starting to leak once and a while. The casing finally cracked, but it still is as dependable as it was when I first took it out of the box.

How many men do you know who rave about irons? Let me tell you this iron is a great buy. Ironing has become a breeze with this product instead of a dreadful hassle. I iron my shirts every day before work and it shows. Ironing was never been my favorite pastitme but now I actually set up time in my day just to use this product! This iron makes every shirt look like i just picked it up from the dry cleaners with its easy to use steam function. You can't beat the price too!

These pans are awesome.The non-stick seems to be slipperier than any I've used in the past.Food slides out so easy.I made a frittata,and it came out of the pan just like on the food network.The only negative is with the 12"pan,is it's a little heavy for my wife.Maybe an assist handle would help.

These Calphalon pans are fantastic. I use them for everything, and nothing sticks. NOTHING!! The heat distribution is even, and althought the 12" skillet is a bit heavy, still an easy pan to cook with.

These are great pans. They look good, heat up evenly, cook great and clean up easily.
