    Irons Review horrible
This iron doesn't heat hot enough, and it leaks. I'm not an iron fanatic or anything, just thought I'd spend a little more on a decent iron. I could've spent $5 and got a better iron than this. Walk dont run away from this thing. Even though some people love it, there are more people saying it's horrible. I wish I would've come here before I purchased it.
    Good luck!

    Irons Review waste of money
At the beginning it worked well. I appreciated very much it's long electric cord which allowed me to use the iron without getting an extension cord. However, after few months of light using it started leaking. Now, after 16 months since I purchased the fancy looking iron, it stopped heating up. Reading all the comments posted here, I must admit that I was lucky enough that this iron worked for that long. Therefore, I am giving it 2 stars insted of one.

Irons Review Have had for 2yrs and love it..
I've have had mine for 2yrs now and I just love it. I before had spent lots of money on Rowenta's and they both went into the trash in a very short time. They leaked all over the place and just didn't perform well. I got this one and gave a lot time and use before writing this review. I'm so sorry to hear others have not been as happy. It heats up within a couple of minutes, it give off lots of steam, and I've never had a leaking problem. It has a bit of weight, not too much but it helps when doing cottons.
The only reason a 4 star is I don't care for the cover to pour the water in. They could have designed it better, or just leave it with no cover at all...

      Irons Review Love it!!!
I bought this to add some fun to our weekend breakfasts. It has been a big hit with the kids! They love the sticks, I love how easy it is to use. If you follow the simple directions, there is no batter leakage and waffles come out easily. The beep when done is a real plus - no watching for the light to go off. We loved it so much we bought a second one for the grandparents!

Irons Review Stick waffles ar a big hit.
The Cuisinart DIP-8 waffle maker was purchased for my grandkids ages 1, 2, and 5. They managed to eat 24 sticks the first time we used it. Ask them if they are good.

      Irons Review Great wafflemaker!
We love this waffle-stick maker! I like how you can either keep it as a few bigger waffles, or break them apart into strips. The non-stick surface allows them to easily come out of the waffle maker. We already had a waffle maker, but I wanted this one for the kids. And they love the waffle sticks for a snack.

      Irons Review Handy and attractive
Cast iron cookware is loved by many for its particular thermal properties. Its heavy material conducts heat very evenly, and browns food particularly well. However, not everyone is thrilled by the need to "season" cast iron. Lodge attempts to solve this particular problem by producing a line of enamel-coated cookware. One such piece is the three-quart apple-shaped pot/Dutch oven.

This pot can be used on the stovetop or in the oven. The one I have is coated in a particularly glossy red (it's really quite impressive), and I have to admit that the apple shape--complete with leaf-shaped stainless steel handle--is quite nifty.

A bean dish that we made in this pot gave us the perfect opportunity to test out how easy it was to clean. The care instructions recommend hand-washing due to the harshness of dishwasher cleansers. After two hours in the oven, the underside of the lid was quite splattered with dried-on juices and the pot itself had the usual cooked-on ring where the food had reduced down. I expected this to be difficult to clean, but it wiped right off.

It's recommended that if you use this on the stovetop you use it on low to medium. Plan for a long start-up time if you need a soup to come to a simmer, but once it gets going a low heat setting works wonderfully. The cast iron does a remarkable job of distributing the heat evenly. In the oven this piece can be used at pretty much any temperature under 500 degrees F.

In short, if you don't mind the weight of the pot and want something you can slow-cook a soup, bean dish, stew, or something similar in, Lodge's enamel-coated line is a great choice. It's easy to clean and even-heating. It even does a wonderful job of keeping a soup warm on the stove once you've turned off the heat so you can go back for seconds!

Irons Review Nice waffles plus wake-the-dead alarm
I tried out my new waffle maker this morning. Started out using the recommended setting, which just left a nasty doughy mess. Bumped up the setting 3 times until I got something that resembled a waffle. It is supposed to beep to let you know when it is done. Actually, it beeps every time it cycles "on", every time the green light comes on you get a series of really loud beeps like a smoke detector. It's not like I went outside and left the waffles cooking and needed a reminder! If you lift the lid the first time it beeps, it just makes a big nasty mess. By about the second series of beeps, the waffle should be about ready. The design is nice and unusual, an added plus is that it's attractive without being having a licensed character or trademark on it. (Such as Mickey Mouse, Hello Kitty, or "Bam" Emeril). The waffles turned out really nicely, once I figured out the setting I liked, but the beeps are amazingly annoying - not good for anyone in an apartment with thin walls or if you have people still asleep in the house!

Irons Review Waffler Makes more than Rose Waffles
This waffler turned out to be a big surprize. I got it to make sweet rolls from my gluten-free, relatively low-carb recipes I used in other wafflers. The shape would be nice with cinnamon and nuts. It is. It works really well for this purpose. But I had no idea I would also be baking great egg omelets in it, filled with chopped fresh vegetables that cooked through perfectly. It also makes great cakes. Make some yeast "bread" in it - works like a charm, whether gluten free or the real McCoy. Try baking a lentil loaf. Beautiful with sauce. How about a meat-loaf? Works great. You can split the waffle for sandwiches or for layering cake. You can bake a little cookie dough in it only filling partway and have a lacy cookie. Bake it longer and it will get crisp. Make thick chocolate "cookies" and fill with ice cream. Wow.

All of this is great as long as you can live with the way runny batter drips through the bottom and makes a big oozy mess, and the alarm beeps at you every time the heat goes off, whether it's ready or not. Hence only four stars.

I can live with it - in fact I use it for more things every day. But I give it five stars for creative possibilities. I am still exploring and nowhere done. How about putting in beaten egg with a little corn masa, strewing chiles and cheese, topping it with more egg/masa - chiles rellenos? Haven't tried it yet, but I think I will go do that now.
