Irons Review Great Ironing board for the price!
I bought this ironing board to replace a wooden model of about the same size and price I got from a discount store. The heavy metal screen on this unit works much better than wood for ironing, and makes the board lighter as well. I found the quality of this to be excellent, and the locking legs are nice. My only (minor) complaint is that between the wideness of the board, and the very short legs, it is a little awkward for shirt sleeves.

    Irons Review Very useful pan.
One of my favorite pans that gets a lot of use. For cooking small amounts, read for one or two people with a bit of leftover this is a great pan. A little barkeeper's friend and this pan cleans nicely. Sautes chicken nicely even at lower heat settings. Deep enough to add a little stock to make a small amount of soup. If I had a large family I would opt for a larger size.

Irons Review A Perfect Gift Set
May and June are the most popular months for weddings and wedding showers, so I am always on the lookout for beautiful gift recommendations. This All-Clad 2-Quart Saute for Two gift set is great! Not only do you get a good price but also you get a wonderful stainless pan, stainless serving spoon, and a red quilted oven mitt. The two-handled design of the pan makes it perfect for cooking and serving all-in-one. I would use it for coq au vin, beef stroganoff, chicken paprikash, or any other favorite dish that has a sauce because the straight sides of this pan make a reduction so easy to do. Highly recommended buy!

    Irons Review Avoid this product
For the last 12 years I was happily using a cheapie waffle maker purchased at a garage sale by my grandmother. When my beloved cheapie gave up the ghost, I decided to upgrade to what seemed like a fancy model. Alas...my usual waffle recipe didn't fare well in the hands of this iron. Waffles stuck, they deflated, they peeled apart, they had mushy corners, they failed to turn brown even on the highest setting. The iron doesn't seem to get hot enough. As an extra bonus, the "chime" that alerts you that the waffle is (supposedly) ready sounds like the electronic rendition of a dying bird's plea for help....and it goes off frequently, even though your waffle is still in batter form.

We make waffles just about every weekend. I tried to ignore the dying bird sound. I changed recipes. I made the batter thinner, then thicker. I filled the iron more, and I filled it less. I changed the amount of oil. I resorted to putting all my waffles in the toaster post-cooking. Nothing worked. I am getting rid of this thing!

Irons Review Uneven Waffles from a top priced iron
It appears as though they put a round heating element in this square waffler. The corners are always white. Not much use for the temp sensor as I have to set it all way to the max to get golden brown waffles--Far below expectations for a unit of this price. I guess I'll go back to my 30 year old Made in the USA unit; its a little slower but the waffles come out great. I want to send this one back to China. The last complaint is more of a nuisance than a problem - It will stand on end but is rather unsafe as there is no latch and the lid crashes down if not secured.

    Irons Review I like it
So, I have absolutely NO experience with waffle irons. I received this as a wedding gift and we used it to make a Christmas brunch this year. My mother, who remembers using older fashioned waffle irons, was just a-twitter with praise for this iron. It didn't split them in half, it cooked the waffles nicely (don't know if I like them crispy or not yet) and it DIDN'T STICK. I think that has got to be the most important feature of a waffle iron. We liked the "ready" indicator, both for temperature and done. The alarm was a tad shrill but would definitely alert you to attend to your waffles especially if you tend to multitask in the kitchen. This was very user-friendly. Overall 4 stars. Can't go five since I haven't experienced anything better or worse to compare it to. I like this iron very much.

Irons Review Great pan for 1 or 2 servings
This a wonderful pan for grilling up 2 meat patties or 2 filet sized steaks. I oil and preheat mine in the oven at 375 until it's super hot (15 min), then place on the stove top on med-high heat to really get a good sear on the meats.

It is cast iron so it needs to be seasoned first to prevent sticking. Coat with a high temperature oil (canola or veg) and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. You will need to use oil in the pan until the insides get that nice black patina that all well seasoned cast iron pans have. Unfortunately this information was left out of the instructions.

I hope to continue to add more to my Le Creuset collection in the future.

Irons Review Love this little grilling skillet!!
I just got this little grilling skillet and I love it. The secret to using it is to heat it really hot on medium heat before adding the food. I oil both sides of whatever I'm grilling but not the skillet. Once the pan is hot, I add the items I'm grilling. They will grill smoke free and even if they stick initially, the food will unstick as it cooks. A hamburger with cheese on top (added at the end of the cooking) certainly made a mess of the grilling ridges but once the skillet cooled, I added water and soaked it awhile. The skillet virtually rinsed clean later. I do have a bristle brush to scrub away any stubborn spots though. How did I live without this little skillet and the regular 11" skillet I bought earlier? Both are such great products!!

Now Le Creuset, if you'd come out with a 9" skillet without a non-stick surface, I'll buy that too!

    Irons Review Very pleased
We have a larger skillet grill and ordered the smaller one. Processing was excellent and using the skillet, for smaller items, has exceeded our expectations.

    Irons Review My product nightmare
I bought this Wok mainly because it was a good size and made of iron. When i received the receipt from The Wok Shop it said "This wok will have to be washed several times before seasoning to remove the film that is used to prevent it from rusting in shipping over water from China." What they fail have mentioned is that the "coating" that they use is essential a thin layer of gray paint! I have worked on it for over an hour with a steel scouring pad, and I have thus far not managed to remove any of the "coating."
