I opted for this one in place of the 8-10 fajita pan because with a round one I can use it for more things. The first thing I made on this was a 2 egg omlet that turned out perfectly. However, as this pan has shallow sides, I'll still stick to my skillet from now on for eggs (I recommend the lodge logic 15-1/4, or the 12inch). I've also done grilled cheese sandwiches and quesadilla's on it and they've all turned out way better on this pan than on my 12X12 Calphalon Commercial griddle, which was far more expensive. Also, because cast iron retains heat so well, this is great for keeping food warm for hours. One last thing, if your just getting into cast iron, it's well worth the extra money to get preseasoned pans. All in all, a great pan at a great price. Can't wait to do more with it!

I was very disappointed with this product. Despite following the directions precisely, the iron never steamed at all. It did work for dry ironing. Then a few months later I was packing it for another trip, and found that as I attempted to slip the soleplate cover on just to see if perhaps NOW the steam part would work, it broke into 3 pieces. I would certainly not purchase this product again.

I had the exact same experience as "A customer from Sunnyvale" with our "Steam 'n Press.

My wife bought this to steam her wedding dress on her wedding day. It (apparently) worked that one time. However, it didn't get used until a few months later, and I couldn't get anything to happen with the steam. My wife and I fiddled with it for a good long time, and ultimately decided that something is broken with the mechanism that discharges the steam. The "iron" portion of this still gets hot--but as "Sunnyvale" said, without the steam this thing is useless.

One use and done--that's unacceptable. I contacted Rowenta (a long distance call, BTW) and since the item is less than a year old if I send it to them (at my expense, probably $10 or so) they say they'll fix it and send it back to me. I'll probably do this, but from other complaints of this unit breaking it seems like the quality control isn't there. Save yourself trouble and go with something else.

After reading other reviews I had my doubts about the performance of this product but was plesantly surprised at the results. You must understand that this steam iron will not give you the same results you would get from your dry cleaner (their industrial sized equipment is the only thing that can do that). But what it does provide is quality bursts of steam that will make for excellent touch-ups on garments wrinkled during travel. <br /> <br /> Know what you are buying and buy with confidence.

this an awful appliance. water drips during the steam mode, the device won't shut off unless you unplug it or wait one hour for "auto-off". the resevoir has a tedious cap that can only be filled when the iron is around an 87 degree angle, not quite horizonal. the grip is too small for larger hands, and it drags across clothes like a 2x4.

This is a terrible iron. Do not buy it. It blows water out of the bottom two holes. It is so bad that the iron is sitting in a pool of water shortly after starting to use it. It soaks the clothes you are trying to press. I have used almost everyday for several weeks and it does not get better. I'm going to try and get my money back and buy a different iron.

I bought this and it's beautiful but the item in the picture was assembled upside down. If you look carefully you can see pegs near the "top", this is actually a short shelf with a decorative back and peg hooks on the bottom. I'm still happy with my purchase, but warning others.
