        Irons Review Overall good choice
I purchaseded this iron on Amazon several months ago after I gave up on my last, top of the line, unreliable Rowenta. The Panasonic does not have the solid, high quality feel of the Rowenta, but it actually does a better job ironing and is not as heavy or bulky. This particular model has a mirror finish - not have that brownish Teflon coating which I avoid. And I really like the removable water tank. I was worried it might leak, but it doesn't. The retractable cord is a nice feature but when extended, the weight in the base is a little light and the iron becomes a little tippy. With care, it hasn't been a problem for me. The jet of steam and spray mist features work very, very well...

But the bottom line is, I haven't found an iron that gets hotter or does a better job so I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

        Irons Review Joy of Ironing
I bought this Iron a few months ago. Oooh, what a difference a good Iron makes!

First of all, see-through water tank is detachable, so when the water is running out, you can see it, and you just need to take the water tank alone to refill it. No need to carry the hot iron to the sink! The best part is that the Iron glides over the clothes so smoothly, you don't need to do too much. Just move the iron over that wrinkled area, and your clothes will look just as you had it done at a dry cleaner. It used to take me forever to Iron a shirt with my old iron, but now I can do it half the time and effort.

Oh, and after you are done with the ironing, the cord retracts. What a wonderful feature. It makes it so much easier to put the iron away after the job is done. No more of tangled cord, or cord hanging from the shelf.

This is really the best Iron I've ever used, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Irons Review As good as Le Creuset!
I have a red kitchen, and I love red cookware. I thought Le Creuset was my only real choice for quality cookware in the color I wanted, but Le Creuset is so expensive! Then I found this Innova porcelain coated cast iron cookware. The comparable Le Creuset Dutch oven is $150, but this one is only about $35 and it cooks wonderfully! I have used it for beef stew, pot roast, macaroni and cheese, and a chicken casserole. It browns meat quickly on my ceramic cooktop, then cooks evenly in the oven. Everything I have cooked in this Dutch oven has been excellent, and it's so gorgeous I leave it out on a shelf instead of hiding it in a cupboard. I'm going to buy several more pieces of this Innova cookware in my favorite red!

Irons Review Better than the old black pan
Though pricier than your usual cast iron skillet, this one has some really nice extra features. There's the tab across from the handle for a little help lifting the thing, and the pour spouts on the side. The grill marks make it a pretty specific pan though, maybe not so good for anything but meat and veggies. Excellent for searing steak on the stove and finishing in the oven. But sometimes it's nice to bake a tart or bread in the skillet, so don't toss the flat-bottomed one. Take the extra 30 seconds to handwash and dry cookware like this, you'll save its life and lots of dishwasher space. All in all, the pan is really functional and a lot more attractive than a plastic tabletop electric grill. I like the different colors in pans because I can just grab the one I want quickly--no monochrome in my kitchen.

          Irons Review A carnivore's pan
For perfect steak: Get the pan searing hot (so that a drop of water will bounce and hiss). Rub a rinsed and dried steak with a clove of garlic and little olive oil, and lay it on the pan. Grill the steak for 30-seconds, then turn the steak 90-degrees on the pan so the pan ribs sear a diamond pattern into the meat (this will hold in the juices), and grill for another 30. Do the same thing to the other side. Put the pan under the broiler (not too close) until desired done-ness.

Let the pan cool while you devour the steak, and then pour some warm soapy water into it for a few hours (or overnight, if you're lazy). From there it's an easy scrub clean, though ours has seasoned a bit over the years, which actually seems to have made it better. If you want it really clean you can boil some water in it, like with naked cast iron.

The pan is also good for baking chicken legs in the oven (with the skin still on, unless you like dry chicken), and I actually made a roast leg of lamb in it once (the end hung out over the edge, but it was marvelous).

If you only need a pan for grilling hamburgers on the stovetop, consider the oblong one instead, and don't bother with this one for grilling veggies - those won't benefit from this pan's heat capacity, and you might as well save the money.

          Irons Review Absolutely the best!
This is by far the best fry pan I have ever used. If you follow the instructions (heat on medium, slowly; allow to cool before cleaning. etc.), this pan will outlive you! The evenness of cooking is outstanding. A quality piece of work!

          Irons Review Delayed Shipping
I purchased the soup pot in white along with a 6 3/4 Qt Oval French Oven. I placed the order September 20, 2005 and received the Oval Oven in October. However, I have not received the soup pot yet (01-18-2005). Also it is of little consolation when Amazon.com assures me that I will not be billed for this item until it ships. It was a free bonus as part of the deal and I won't be billed for it anyway. I received an update today that explained I wouldn't be getting my pot until February or March 2006 now. This is the second delay update. I just want my pot. Is there a number I could call to speak to a human?

          Irons Review old-school style
Even though the pot's description says its a 2-3/4 quart soup pot, it turned out to be a lot smaller than I imagined. Overall, its quite good though, distrubutes heat very well and is really cute (I chose the red one). I got it because this brand is known to last long and have great quality cookware, and it's proven itself thus far. If you are looking for a great slow-cooker, or old-fashioned soup pot, this is the way to go. Be careful though, if you are used to non-stick types with plastic handles... this pot heats up fast and super hot.
