Purchased because I wanted a bagless vacuum and something fairly light to carry around a small house and get under furniture. My very good old bagless Sanyo I got for $5 at a yard sale bit the dust when the kitties crashed a piece of furniture onto it (my fault, of course, really). This is pretty good at cleaning but the floor attachment's brush strip grabs the cat hair bunnies and clogs the head rather than sucking it up like the Sanyo did. I may remove the brush strip. Rug attachment likes to keep the cat hair even more, rather than sending it on its way. The most annoying thing is how extremely high-pitched and noisy the motor is. Bottom line is it does the job, with a little nozzle cleaning now and then, so I suppose I will live with it.

I recently purchased this vacuum. The attachments are cheap and it has a hard time picking up dirt off carpets. I do like the bagless canister, very easy to remove and empty. It is also a attractive vacuum, but if I were going to by another vacuum for $100 I would choose another type or buy a vacuum from Target and have the option to return if it doesn't do the job

It is a great vaccum cleaner. Light weight and easy to glide around in small areas. It is bagless so you can keep it clean. It picks up cat fur like a breeze. Plus its a great buy at $99.00.

We bought one for Christmas and love the food sealer. However, all the canisters have cracked. So far, still holding the seal, but they are getting progressively worse, so it's just a matter of time. These aren't exactly cheap, so I think it's safe to say that we should expect bettter.

I got one with my foodsaver. I like the foodsaver but their canisters crack after a couple of uses. Also the manufacture is not handy friendly. I was injured and can't speak. When I tried to get help by email they told me I needed to get friend or family member to call them if I wanted help. That just wrong. I guess they haven't heard about the equal access laws.

Somewhere along the line, Tilla/Food Saver decided to cut costs. Screw Grandma, she'll never comp it.

I bought this system to use, not put on a shelf. So far the marinator hasn't cracked. Most all of the canisters have. Tilla/Foodsaver says that they are sorry to hear that, & do nothing more. I glued the cracks on the bottom, only to make more cracks.

More often than not, the seal doesn't hold on the canisters. Tilla says there is goop. I say I wipe the canister & the seal.

When it does work, this is great. But if you have to check things on a vacuum seal, that's stupid. I'm waitng for Ronco, "Seal it, & forget it".

Also note, like condoms the bags have holes.

I purchased this product after reading "rave" reviews about the efficiency and ease of the machine. I will agree that the windtunnel is equipped with powerful suction, but I have a tri-level house and it is not an easy machine to use on stairs. Unfortunately, the MAIN reason I bought this product is because so many people commented how easy it was for vacuuming stairs.
The other down side to this product is that it is bagless. I thought I would be OK with seeing my own dirt but it is rather disgusting to clean out.

I bought this for our new house that my husband and I just moved into. We have a lot of laminate floors and carpet, so I wanted something versatile. I always research products and read reviews on them. It seems that most people were happy with this vacuum (none are perfect), and so I bought it here on Amazon. I really like the power that it has, and that it works well on carpet and hard floors. I like the fact that the power buttons are on the wand and that the wand extends so my back doesn't have to bend as much. I guess the only things I don't like are that some of the attachments don't all fit in the canister (but I don't really use them all that much anyway), and that the canister doesn't roll well on carpet. But I read about these issues before I made the purchase.

I have been using this Hoover for about a month now. We just moved into a home with hardwood floors and a canister vac seemed to be a must. This is the first canister we have ever used, and I have to say, I see no reason to ever own an upright again.

The suction on this thing is amazing! I LOVE that all the controls are right there on the handle and you can set the suction to high medium or low. I also LOVE the fact that vacuum is easily adjustable so even my 8 year old can manouver it easily.

We have 6 dogs and 4 cats here, so everyday vacuuming is the only option. I have yet to have any type of clogging issue that I would surely have experienced with my upright by now.

To address some of the comments about having to change the container every few days/weeks/months...I don't understand. As a personal choice, I change the container every day before vacuuming and sometimes even during a particlarly fur infested room. I have alwasy done this with my bagless vacuums. That is why you are buying a bagless...to get the most suction as possible and thus a cleaner home. If you are complaining because you have to empty the canister after 5 vacuums, than I am afraid you are not seeing the benefit of owning a bagless which is to get **rid** of the dust immediately not only for your health but to ensure you get the most bang for your buck out of your bagless.

Also, I think that as far as bagless vacuums go, the container is one of the easiest to empty. It comes out nicely, and I do not have to touch anything dirty to empty it, which is not the case with all bagless!

The only cons I see to owning this vacuum is the floor accessory tool does not stand upright on its own without careful placing and not all of the tools have a storage place on the vacuum. (I keep them in a plastic bag hanging from a doorknob) But honestly, it would only make awesome vacuum perfect and would in NO WAY prohibit me from buying this exact same model again. I love when a product delivers, and I really feel like that is the case here.

Here is an item that will be used often and gratefully. Large enough to preserve a part of or all of a bulk purchase, while saving dollars and not wasting the item {s}.

Most of the FoodSaver appliances have an accessory port to allow the attachment of a hose to connect to various containers, such as this large canister. The 3.25 quart canister is one of the largest canisters made to go with FoodSaver appliances. You can store any dry food that fits in the container and wet foods as long as they are below the level of the vacuum port.

Once you have packaged bulk foods in one or two of these, you may find yourself buying four or six of them because the larger size is so handy. You can fit a medium size box of cereal in one, or bags of M&Ms or other chocolates, increasing the length of time you can keep them. These canisters are great for brown sugar, which tends to clump when it gets moist. You can also use these for regular sugar and other similar foods.

I recommend you use caution with flour, biscuit mix or other similar foods. If the FoodSaver sucks too much dust in it can become damaged. After you fill the canister, wait until the dust settles before pulling another vacuum on the canister.

These canisters are clear with a white lid, and look great, particularly when you have a lot of them sitting on the counter. These canisters can certainly help you get organized in the kitchen!

I HATE VACUUMING . . . that is until now, at a very ripe old age, where it has suddenly become effortless, effective, quiet, and it seems the ordeal that vacuuming has been is over, now that I have purchased my wonderful refurbished Harmony Canister Vacuum Model EL6985A!! I love everything about it, and haven't even tried it on the high setting! Yes, it picked everything up on the low setting - and that's no small feat - it's light, follows me around like a little puppy (but looks like a ladybug), I can reach under tables & furniture like nobody's business, the electric cord is long enough for me to vacuum my entire 2 bedroom apartment from one electrical outlet without having to re-plug!, it's quiet enough so that even my cat isn't freaked out (which is truly amazing), the unit is small and lightweight, and I am truly THRILLED. I went to a cannister after all these backbreaking years of an upright vacuum on the advice of a Miele rep on the phone, but spending the kind of money Miele wants for the same action I just got for less than half the price gives me a lot of satisfaction. I bought this refurbished dream machine with a 2 year warranty (!) from www.cpoelectrolux.com. Assembling took all of 2 minutes (!) and I vacuumed my little heart out for the next 30 minutes after my last ridiculous vacuum broke after very little use about 6 weeks ago, and now me and my home feel & look like brand new. BUY THIS VACUUM! A+++++++++!!

1. Packaging very good, all items included, well protected. Arrived in a timely way. Not abused in shipping as is too common.
2. Easy to put together, easy to operate, very nimble around furniture, good power, cord is long enough for 1.5 rooms, attachments work well and are secure to handle, HEPA works very well (tested on drywall dust), bags are surprisingly large for a small unit, aesthetically pleasing, easy to carry (good handle position), not heavy. Only drawback is that frayed edges have a habit of stopping air pressure powered brush head but this is a minor issue as this should be expected with non-electrical brush heads.
3. Very good warranty on refurbs. 2 years.
4. Perfect for a small home/condo/apartment. Not so good for a large home. If you have a huge home, get one of the larger models.
5. The price is excellent.
6. Wife loves the style (big points).
7. It is advertised as quiet - and it is!

My personal opinion: 9.5 out of 10 for its intended purpose, but it is not a shop vac nor will not like 5000 sq ft homes.
This is the best small cannister vac available for the price.

We're very happy with our refurbished Harmony vacuum. It seems well-made and performs as advertised. Very quiet for a vacuum cleaner: when used to clean hardwood floors most of the sound comes from the air rushing into the nozzle around the bristles.
As others have stated, I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to use primarily on carpet. It doesn't have a powered beater brush head. But for hard floors and above floor cleaning it's a champ!

I've had this vacuum for few months now. It's very easy to manuver and works great on hard floors - we have wood, tile and stone with a few throw rugs and 3 cats. It's really easy to switch on the brush to vacuum the rugs then switch back. It's also easy to empty, though it loses some suction with it's close to full. A plus is the dust container is clear so you can see if you accedently sucked up an earring or something. The negatives are the relativily short power cord and the accessories. The accessories seem to have been an after thought. I would like a small brush head - sometimes the powerhead is too big to get under low furniture, especially with the bracket for the upholstery brush attached to the front of the wand. Overall it's a great machine at a great price.

I think for this price range it's a good choice. It seems to be well built and has a good suctioning power when it's empty. It's easy to empty and clean and over all I'm pleased with my choice.

I was not sure about the suction power of this vacuum considering it was much less expensive than $400 Dysons. However, what came out of the package was an almost professional strength machine with extreme suction power.

Sanyo did a great job with this machine. It works well, and not very heavy. It comes with bunch of extension, one perfect for those who have cats. It sucks in cat hair like crazy.

One head is powered with rotating brush. You can turn the brush on and off from handle with ease.

Also, the machine is actually larger than it appears on the phone.
It is very easy to clean the bagless dust collector. Be careful to not to turn in upside down, the opening is under the canister.

With Amazon Shipping was free; it took one (1) day to get it. They probably used overnight FEDEX.

I would definitely suggest this to anyone. It works well on both carpet and hard floor.

I have had four of these, and three have failed. The first two developed cracks, and I suspect that the dishwasher, in which I only washed the bottom part of the marinator as advised, warped and weakened them. After buying two more, the first two having been relegated to the potting shed as seed-starters, I have handled them with kid gloves so to speak, (no dishwasher), and the seal on one fails to hold for even a few hours. So far, so good with the fourth one. Whoopee. These are not cheap items, and even if they were less costly, a 75% failure rate is quite unacceptable. If they really functioned as they should, they would be fabulous for not only marinating in short order, but storing other items as well. All the round canisters and the wide-mouth jar sealer work exceedingly well, but I'll not buy any more "marinators" until there is a successful improvement in design.

When it comes to infusing flavor and marinting foods this is a must have item. It quickly infuses flavors without some of the drawbacks of long term exposure of some marinades. Acids and salts can breakdown foods over time and change the texture, composition and taste. This handy item does the job quickly and preserves the fresh flavors of both the primary food (meat, fish, poultry) and the fresh ingrediants used in the marinade. For summer BBQ is is the ticket for keeping foods moist. Instead of brining cut up chicken for hours try 1/2 in the marinator, then on to the grill. Marinating vegitables for the grill also works excellent and is quick and easy.

I bought the food saver because I was throuwing away too much stuff and it is already beginning to pay for itself. The instructions claim that you push down to get it started and then release but I find that I have to keep pressure on it to get it to work but it is not that big of a deal. This package included a handheld unit that is the same as the winesaver, and so I have the bottle stoppers. It was the best price I found.

We LOVE our new V840 FoodSaver. We've had no problems with it and this model has all the features we need without the costly bells and whistles. The handheld appliance was something we really had no use for, but the package seemed like a great value anyway. And it is! The handheld appliance is the same unit as the black WineSaver that sells for $40-$50. We simply wrapped it up along with a set of FoodSaver bottle stoppers and gave it to a wine-loving friend as a gift. What a deal!

Also, for your information, this kit comes with a hose, cannister, VHS instructional tape, and sample roll and bags. For the sake of economy, we use the bags we create over and over again by sanitizing them in the dishwasher. We're mindful of cutting generously portioned bags initially, and as the seals are cut from one use to the next, there's still plenty of opportunity to re-use the bags before they become too small to seal anything in.

Our family is very happy with this model and couldn't be more pleased with its performance.

I had the same problem the other user did...UNTIL I opened the lid of the unit and found there is a piece of cardboard in the bag cutter slot to keep the cutter from sliding around during shipping. It was keeping the lid from depressing. Nothing mentioned that! So I removed the cardboard and now it works great! I felt silly, but I'm sure relieved.

I miss some of the features of my Professional II (like the variable settings), but it finally died after years of hard work and I couldn't pass up the deal on this one.

It works well and meets my needs.

we gave our older hoover canister to our daughter who loves it just as much as we love the new one. i like the fact that the wand hooks onto the unit and is easy to put away. and the cord retracts which is another plus. the power is really good and havent found anything it wont clean.

If you like cannister vacuum cleaners w/ bags, I recommend the Hoover S3639. I have used similar cannisters over the last 15 years, and besides doing a good job, this one has the advantages of looking great, having an extra small power brush for steps, and a fantastic price thru Amazon. Also, it was delivered to my door w/o shipping costs!
It is easy to carry, has a good set of tools, and a powered brush w/ a light to vacuum rugs.
Once the dirt bag is full, you throw it away--less work than bagless vacs.
