I have tried many cleaning machines for my furniture. Most are fine for carpet but this is superior for furniture. The tools are perfect for the contours and crevices. The crevice tool turned out to be the best idea yet in cleaning machines. It really gets the water in and out of those tough to get at areas!!! The suction is great. I tried Hoovers portable compact Duo and forget it!!! It leaks and is awkward and the hose is difficult to maneuver. The little green machines hose is long enough to get everywhere without having constant tension on it like those flexible types. The cord is nicely long. The filling and emptying is a breeze!
Great for all furniture, kids car seats, the car and futons and for quick clean ups from those spills!
All out the best on the market! Worth every dime!

Thought I would save a few dollars and bought this piece of junk for our lake cabin. If anything could go wrong, it did. Handle breaks easily. Nothing stays on board. Suction horrible. Hoses stretch out of shape after just a few uses. Belt slips and burns. Tips over VERY easily. Incredibly loud. Filter is useless. Worst purchase I have ever made. Spend the money and get something that will function and last! I can't even give this 1 star but had no other option. Would have used a negative if I could.

i bought this vacuum cause its cheap and a dirt devil well after one use the motor blew so amazon sent another and it had missing parts aswell as a bad motor again! so i got a refund and bought a similar priced bissel that works great and was a breeze to put together get a bissel

a couple weekends ago my wife was vacuuming our basement stairs when our vacuum(an older model Hoover windtunnel,the green one with the clear debris chamber)exploded, it was clearly in self destruct mode and considering I bought it in 2001, five years of use is not bad. but anyways on with the review:
The weekend the vacuum went out, the fridge did too.
so I was way strapped for cash,So I looked around for a vacuum that was good and under $100 which is quite a feat considering all the dysons and other kick-a** models that easily run about $300. So I needed something that would get us by for a while.
I'm only hoping for a year of use but going on my last hoovers track record I'm sure this will last longer.

Pros:

easily assembled, took me about 15 minutes to assemble.
pretty lightweight, which means easier lifting up stairs.
Many attachments, 3 attachments and 2 hose extenders.
Self Propelled, This thing does the vacuuming for you.

Cons:

takes a non-reusable vacuum bag Hoover type Y.
mostly plastic,which seems easily breakable.

I would suggest this vacuum for the young couple whom are buying their first home together, this vacuum will probably last you until the student loans are paid off.
then you can afford a more hardcore vacuum.
to anyone whom needs a new vacuum on a budget like I was when I bought mine, I suggest this Hoover.
