Great Product for Dog Hair and HardwoodsVery light, long cord, and plenty of power to pick up dog hair and other light items. This is not for someone who wants a full fledged vacuum. My only complaint is that it's made of cheap plastic and will most likely crack/break if dropped.
Eureka Stick VacuumI had an old Eureka electric broom similar to this one. It picked up better when it was about to "croak" than others I have purchased when they were brand new. It is also easier to empty than others I have tried. I have hardwood floors and this vacuum works great.
Love this vacuum!I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets pretty hairy. This vacuum works better than the larger, more expensive ones I have used. I got it as a gift and just saw the price now. I cannot believe how cheap it is. I was thinking it was more expensive than the bigger ones because it is smaller and easier to use but works even better!
It's very cheap, works great, small, light and you don't have to spend money on vacuum bags.
I absolutely recommend this vacuum.

Horrendous!!! Avoid!I purchased this product last week and have already returned it to BJs. What a waste of my time and money! For the past five years, I have used Eureka's "The Boss" Lite Cordless in my home filled with dog and cat fur, bird feathers, and messy husband and toddler syndromes. Unfortunately, it has finally worn out. Our floors are particularly bad in the spring with shedding and moulting pets, so this was a key time to test this product. It failed!
Unlike "The Boss" it failed to consistently pick up fur and was equally unable to pick up small items such as granola and feathers. I tried all of the various settings and the recommended multiple charges/discharges and vacuuming "pathways" to improve function. None of them worked.
Additionally, the product was awkward to use, especially when your surfaces change (playmats, linoleum, hardwoods, tile, carpets - we have it all), which caused the machine to jam and turn off. The receptacle filled quickly and dramatically reduced suction. The Shark was not as maneuverable as "The Boss" in tight spaces because of its size and shape. I had to give up on my stairs.
I had my old "Boss" for five years, as stated above. I'll be reordering another today. I've been very satisfied with it (our's is nicknamed "Miss Betty") and its been a champ with the copious amounts of dog fur in our house. Save your time and money - avoid the Shark and choose a different cordless sweeper!

Don't waste your moneyLuckily I bought this sweeper on sale with a coupon. Otherwise, I would be very upset. This product started out fine: it's cordless and did run well on both carpet and vinyl. But after maybe half a dozen times of using it, it would work for 30 seconds and then the battery would shut down. I had charged the battery fully, so I know it was full of juice when I started. I was just very disappointed with this and frustrated every time I had to use it. Plus, it was too wide to get in the tight spots on my floors and it wouldn't go right up to the edges. I bought a Swiffer Sweep + Vac and couldn't be happier with it. True, it doesn't work on carpet, but I just use my vaccuum cleaner for that anyway. It's much cheaper, cordless, and has a swivel head to get to those hard-to-reach places. I was not impressed with the Shark brand and probably won't by anything from them again.
Customer ServiceI have been satisfied with this product, however, customer service is the worst of any company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a replacement charger and it took over 3 months to receive it. I received a card from them about every 4 weeks repeatedly stating that "due to overwhelming demand the product is out of stock". The card didn't even state that it was from Euro-Pro or what I had ordered. I would never buy another product from this company again because of their customer service and looking at some of the other reviews, I am not alone.

It does nothing to my berber carpet...It does nothing that I can see except leave a pleasant scent. I scrub it in with a firm bristle brush, wait 30 minutes, vacuum with my Dyson, and my carpet still looks the same. It is only 2 years old so it isn't an old carpet. It might work on carpets that are more of a "pile" but not berber. I gave 2 stars just for scent alone.
Ok, but not sure what it really does...I purchased the dyson pet and it works amazing wonders on pet hair, but so does the $50.00 version from K-Mart. I'm not really sure what the zorb does besides smelling clean for about 5 minutes!
Makes the place smell cleanI love the way this makes our house smell. It also seems to pick the carpet up abit from the walk-down syndrome. However, this only lasts a few days before it is back to looking the same way again.

Miss my HooverBroke after 1 cleaning plus 1 spot repair. I won't pay to have it repaired if not covered under warranty. Will buy a Hoover again. Bissell can kiss my, er, carpet!
Spray trigger problemWe got a smoking deal from Amazon for our new Bissell ProHeat 7950 so having a problem with it during the second day of use didn't feel so bad. The thing quit injecting the water/cleaner mix into the carpet when the trigger was squeezed. I reread the user's guide and made sure all tanks were in place, etc. No luck. I called Bissell at 1-800-237-7691 and talked to Bernadette, a friendly, helpful, knowledgable foreign sounding lady. She diagnosed it over the phone with my help. The trigger in the handle was faulty, it was sticking on/off and not allowing the spray to work when called for. She did not hesitate to order a complete handle/trigger assembly for us to arrive free of charge within 7-10 days. She would not need the old/bad one back. So, I being a gadget type guy, decided to take apart the bad handle and tinker with it. I got it working just fine. For those of you with the same malfunction, here's what I did; first, unplug the machine. Next, remove the handle assembly the same way it went on when you assembled the new machine. Unscrew the five screws from the handle and pry it apart. You'll see a long white plastic "stick". Try using a small file and slightly widen the slots that the stick travels in. Then push down on the red wire that runs across the stick travel area from the black power switch to the red smarttemp switch. That wire seems to have been installed too close to the moving stick and restricts it's movement. Lastly, take the spring off the stick and widen it providing more tension on the trigger. Put it all back together and clean away! Aside from that, the Proheat machine works great. It cleans like crazy. Yes, the tank could be larger capacity, I'm sure we're going to bust a belt here and there due to the design, etc. However, it seems to be just fine for us. I am pleased with the help from the Bissell Consumer Services Dept. Plus, for the price we paid, I can live with all this. I'm sure there's better machines out there, but certainly worse ones as well. Dennis Mesa,Az
Bissel ProheatI have wall-to-wall carpets and the Proheat does the job efficiently. My only issue is the tank is too small. I have a lot of space to cover so having to go back and forth to empty the tank of dirty water and refilling it with clean is a drag because it fills up in a very short time. Seems like most home deep cleaning machines have the same size tank though. Other than that I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

Gets to the RootBissell's 499 Little Green Compact Multipurpose Cleaner cleans really deep and fast. It is very effective and smells good. Our dog likes it too!
Smells Like Heaven....This is amazing cleaning solution. It works wonders on tought stains. It smells wonderful. I use this solution with my Hoover Steamvac and with my Little Green Clean Machine. Anytime someone comes over, they remark on that wonderfully refreshing scent that pervades my home. Not only does it smell good, it cleans amazingly.
With the help of my machines, this solution lifts out tough grime with a cinch. Small stains dissapear instantly and it leaves the carpet soft and fluffy to the touch. This is a great solution, and it is pretty much the best one out there. Don't settle for less than the best.
Better than warm waterI have a white carpet that cleans with warm water. Unfortunately what looks clean does not have that just laid look and feel that this product brings to life. It is easy to handle and dispense. Having a dial for the concentration on the Bissell one can place concentrates where needed. So this bottle can last for the entire house in most cases

It is good for what it isEasy to assemble and use. If you have only a few area rugs in your home, I think you would be satisfied with this product. If you have many area rugs or larger ones or especially, if you have carpeting, you should buy a larger unit with rotating brushes and a larger water storage capacity. I like mine a lot for ease of use and cleaning our few area rugs.
Works well; worth every penny. From the initial appearance I doubted its ability, but it proved me wrong. Despite the light weight it sucks up a disgustingly impressive amount of dirt.
A Quality Steamer For A PittanceI purchased this Bissel QuickSteamer about six weeks ago. I purchased it specifically due to our incontinent beagle. I have used the big $400 carpet cleaners before, and while this little Bissel is not in the same league, it still is a very good cleaner. And worth much more than its meager $55 price tag.
It is light, easy to use, and even comes with a bottle of carpet shampoo. You fill the little container up with hot water, add some cleaner, slap it into the steamer body and you're ready to clean up your carpet. Just squeeze the trigger on the handle to squirt out the cleaner and let it go for it to be kind of sucked back into the steamer.
Now if you have a massive 3,000 square foot house then obviously this steamer is not for you. But for working in smaller carpeted areas and rooms, this is perfect. If you want to clean an entire room's carpet extremely well, you may have to re-fill the water/shampoo cannister once or twice. But the re-fill process is quick and the emptying of the dirty water only takes a moment, so this really isn't a problem at all. This steamer isn't designed for huge jobs.
The only problem I've ran into is that if you do not fill up the cannister to the "fill line" when you begin your cleaning, the trigger button may not work. I looked at the troubleshooting on the Bissel website and it says that the steamer functions on a "gravity process" or something of that nature, and that the steamer needs filled completely to get the whole gravity thing going. So, when you start make sure its filled completely.
Anyways, for the super-low price and the steamer's excellent performance, I can't imagine that you could find a better machine for a better price. This is an excellent product that I'd highly recommend to anyone.

Crappy construction, failed after a few usesMotor burned out after a few light uses - plain old junk!
Get the Hoover steamvac 5914 insteadI had this for several years until the water tank cracked and I decided mayber it was time to just get a new carpet shampooer. I thought the Dirt Devil did a decent enough job for the price, until I decided to try the Hoover Steamvac 5914 (which costs about the same when on sale) to see how it worked, and let me tell you - there is no comparison. The Hoover Steamvac 5914, works much better - lifting and cleaning matted down carpet that the dirt devil couldn't touch. I had been using the dirt devil carpet extractor regularly for the past 5 years, but my carpets were still looking old and worn - the dirt devil just doesn't do a very good job of getting into the fibers, or of sucking all the water out afterwards. After using the Hoover only 2 times, my 10 year old carpets look almost like new again. So my advice is, pass on the dirt devil and get the hoover - you won't regret it.
Well worth the investmentThis carpet scrubber is worth alot more cash than what I have invested in it. I have used the $300.00 Hoovers, they cannot compare to the value and the job that the Dirt Devil does. Very happy so far.

Don't buy this one . . .The picture and description is deceiving. I thought that I was buying the Bissell that was on display at Wallmart. The picture and description fit. Wallmart did not restock their shelves fast enough, so I thought I was buying the same Bissell Cleaner and saving $10 in the meantime. This on-line version is a much smaller version of the cleaner, with half the power, and the tank capactity does not hold 1/2 gallon as advertised. If you want to continously fill and empty tanks, then buy this one. Otherwise, go to Wallmart and get a much better deal on a larger capacity, Larger rollers, and more powerful amp machine for $10 more.
Quick Usage for Light Maintenance vs. Other OptionsVery easy to use carpet cleaner for regular light maintenance. However, I was looking for a carpet cleaner to get out some traffic and light stain spots - some deep cleaning with a powerbrush - and this didn't do the trick.
Preferring to spend no more than $100, I checked amazon for reviews on others, and found the Hoover SteamVac Jr is highly rated for deep cleaning - for the SUCTION it has. As fun + easy as using the Bissell was (about 5x now on same 2 carpets), I'll be returning to where I bought and will check into wet-dry shop vacs, as their suction is unbeatable. Might also mean the carpets would be dry in less than 8 hours.
The "powerbrush" on this is a misnomer, as the brush rolls back + forth by.....you! no motor on it. not enough bristles on it to call it a brush. also misleading is "steamer" and "deep cleaner".
The definite positives were that it's extremely easy and even fun to use, seems very well-designed, and it's terrific for light maintenance. 5 stars for all of that. Wish Bissell had advertised it as that so I wouldn't be stuck having to return it.

Light weight and not especially powerful..but,for the price, it rated 4 stars for me. So far, no leaking issues and the brush bar does rotate, as long as the front piece that holds the sucked up dirty liquid is replaced properly. If it is not, it leaks like a sieve and there is next to no suction. Regarding the time it takes for the carpet to dry, it really is not bad, if you just move slowly and give the machine a chance to suck up the liquid. If you move fast, much is left behind and it takes extra long to dry. Expect dissapointment if you want to get your whole house done in a day. The brush head is small and the machine is not very powerful, so for the cleaning to be effective you will need to take your time and make sure you get everything up. This machine is best for those without big stain problems and is best suited for those that clean their carpets with some regularity. If your carpet is trashed and really dirty, you need something bigger and more powerful (or professionals).
