this cleaner is based on the classic eureka models made since the fifties and the current sanitaire commercial heavy-duty vacs. these offer some of the best deep-cleaning action available with easy to get parts if service should be necessary. if you have heavy traffic with dense carpet nap this is what is needed to get it clean. much lighter than most all tools-on-board machines and certainly more effective! cleaners of this type can provide daily service for decades!

I purchased this vacuum because I was wanting to get away from my "old school" Kirby with the shake out dust bag and get something with an updated paper bag system. I purchased this online, sight unseen and was very impressed with it. It did require some assembly but it took less than 10 minutes to complete. I was skeptical about the cord length as a previous review stated it wasn't very long, which was one feature i loved about my Kirby. To my surprise the cord is just as long and this vacuum does have a quick release feature for the cord. The motor is a little louder than my Kirby but it is also a more pwerful motor. It grooms the carpet beautifully and forms a really good seal as it's cleaning, letting me know that it's doing as it's supposed to. The only drawback I have, which has forced me to not totally let go of my Kirby is the fact that you cannot get an attatchment set for this vacuum.
