I just got this vacuum. It was missing a wand, the screw, or whatever, that holds the top to the bottom, and the petal that allows you to go to different heights was broken. I also didn't get any instructions, or warantee card.
HOWEVER, I did use it to see if it was as good as all the Amazon reviewers reported. It is!!! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, and it sucked up all hair and then some. I only wish that it had come in better condition since my old vacuum is broken, and I really don't want to go without a vacuum for another two weeks.

With 7 cats and 3 dogs in our household we have our share of pet hair and dirt. When the DIRT DEVIL PLATNIUM FORCE vacuum arrived I had just vacuumed with my upright EUREKA. I decided to put the Dirt Devil Platnium Force to a test, it passed with flying colors!!!! I was amazed by how much dust,dirt,pet hair was collected in the dirt cup, even though I had just vacuumed. The carpet was visibly much cleaner after using the Platnium Force .It has teriffic suction, and I love the no bag design and the fact I do not have to worry about belts breaking. I especially love the 32 foot power cord, I can go from room to room with no problem! I also tried in the kitchen on the tile floor and it did a great job there too, it sucks the dirt in , unlike the Eureka that tends to blow it around instead of sucking it up. The fact that it is a reconditioned machine is not at all visible, it looks like a new machine, runs like a new machine and comes with a one year warranty.It is a little heavier than most machines but I find it to be more stable, ( it did not tend to fall over like lighter weight machines I have had). It is a nice looking machine. I feel the price makes it an excellent value. It is easy to remove and empty the dirt cup, and has nifty clips to hold the attachments securely. I have owned Hoover and Eureka vacuums both uprights and canisters , Dirt Devil is by far the best.Dirt Devil has done it again!!

I tend to be one of thoese bachelors who breaks their vacum and every 6 months, and this one has already passed the test. From first use you can tell this Dirt Devil is very powerfull, and when you turn on the brush, WOW!I really doubt I will need to buy a new vacum soon, and the price I got on amazon saved me an arm and leg!

Amazon states that this unit comes with "on board tools" but in truth it doesn't come with anything other than a 4 inch upholstery tool. And that one was missing from mine. I expected that there would be more than one(note the plural part of tools) but I guess that on Amazon tools doesn't mean the same thing.

This remanufactured item was also shipped with all the parts just thrown into the box-it was not "packed" the way equipment should be.

Most of my disappointment with this item comes from Amazon and their misleading ad.

This product doesn't deserve the star. Amazon required that I at least give it one, but I cannot do so . . . Bought one of these about three years ago. The roller worked, sometimes, and then the housing on the motor cracked. Too costly to repair, so I gave Bissell one more chance. Never again. I emphatically agree with the other reviewer - CHEAP! The wothless plastic mount for the roller brush - a key feature in a steam cleaner Bissell! - broke 6 months after it was put into use. The steam "cleaner" only leaves 1" wide streaks of clean carpet where the soap falls onto the carpet. Tough traffic areas? Hmmm, that's the purpose of these machines right? Sorry, won't do it. Don't waste your money.

No suction at all, spray is weird...absolutely does not work!

I had ordered this "Deep Cleaner", it did not do any better than when I use a brush and a soap water myself. It can not absorb all the water from the carpet becaue it is not powerful enough and leaks occassionally.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

The battery is too weak and it can power the machine for 8 minutes (first time w/ 24 hours fully charged). Since it is made of NiCd, the performance will be worse after several uses. Furthermore, the motor is too weak to get the water in. According to my experience, it will take back around 30% of the water. I don't recommend this machine unless you got it with a really good deal.

This item is a waste of money. If you like spending your hard earn money for something not worthy, then you can buy this item just for wasting your money. If Not, don't even bother yourself of getting one. l could not believe that you can remove your money and buy something that couldn't even work for a second. When l call the company, they told me to take it to a repairer for something you have just bought without using it, then how will it even last up to 90 days. Terrible.

Yeah, its kinda heavy but unlike the other bagless vacuums, this has the crappy Bissell design where the sucked stuff goes through a flexible hose (that doubles up as the handy tool hose) into the dust collector. In most other vacuums. If something gets lodged into that hose, you are dead. period. I had the problem with a previous bissell but i thought that this was better. stupid of me, yeah. not anymore. its working fine but i won't be using it for largescale cleaning that some more expensive vacuums can do.

This vacuum was bought to replace an old bag vacuum. This vacuum is 20 times better than my old one. I was amazed at all the dog hair and dust it picked up! Super easy to empty the canister. No complaints yet! Great vacuum for the money.

My DC07 animal is barely two years old and bits are breaking off already. Factor in the high purchase price with the cost of replacement parts and this is a very expensive machine to own. For a lower cost of ownership buy a fantom cyclone, dirt devil cyclone or similar and throw away when it finally breaks down.

I expect premium priced products to have better perfomance and last longer. check out the Consumer Reports, its not even the best vacuum - and the better ones cost less.

I bought this same dyson new and have yet to be disappointed. I have 3 great danes and 3 cats not to mention my 2 kids and all their friends that over non stop. I was averaging one vacuum every year. I've had this one over a yr and its still going as strong as the day I bought it. I will NEVER buy another brand of vacuum. By far the best vacuum I have ever owned or used.

Very happy with the purchase. I vaccumed a room with my old vaccum and then used the dyson on the same room. I was suprised to see the amount of dirt this one could suck up again.

Cons,
* This recondioned model is being sold by amazon since 1 year as per my knowledge, so this might be defective product, since my bisell 1692R stopped working first day itself. Any way bissell or amazon is not ready to ship new one or exchange it. But Bissell service center helped me in solving the problem for free with in 3 months only but not 1 year as per service agreement in the booklet.

* Deep cleaning is right, but what is the area covered for 1 tank of water and mixture is important here. 1 tank covers 4feet *4feet =16 square feet, that means to clean 20*20 = 400 sq feet, u have to fill the tank 25 times, even more if floor is more dirty, w.hich is very hard

* No sign of empty tank or different noice if tank is empty. but booklet says it will make different sound if tant is empty but it's not. This puts you in confusion whether its cleaning or not.

Dig the product, but the solution runs out so fast! Anyone besides me thought about taping the red flag down so you can use it a bit longer without replacing the solution? I only get about 3 minutes of use out of it. Bummer.

This is probably the best buy I have had on Amazon ever. The price is fantastic, the cleaner works like a charm! I have 3 dogs at home in the country and I knew the carpets were a disaster. This machine cleaned my carpets without any problem and it is extremely user friendly! With just one use my carpets became - almost - new looking. The cleaner is not heavy and I would recommend it to anyone.

I used to have the original Bissell Littel Green model for some time until it started to leak on me. Worked for about ~6months until I got fed up with it. It was really handy and worked real good at cleaning pet mess-ups. After it started to leak I purchased this one for ~$32.00. Worked great the first time, left it on the kitchen floor...saw a small water stain on the floor. Used it one more time, the next day...then it turned into a friggin water sprinkler and spilled everything it had on the floor slowly. I read the reviews before I bought it, thinking it were flukes...but this is why they sell so cheap. But hey, it has a 90-day warranty. That just means I'll get another leaky vacuum.

So I'm better off swapping it for a new one at Wally World. :) They should either discontinue making this POS, recall, or give customers their money back, what a waste!

50 bucks is alot of money to pay for a companies garbage. Then to have to pay my own garbage company to take it away. What a rip off. The first time I used the machine the power brush didn't work so I used the regular brush. It leaked and didn't have much suction and left the carpet really damp. The second time I tried to use it the sprayer won't spray the carpet solution and the heater wouldn't come on. So its garbage because its out of the 90 warranty. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. If I was the company I would be embarrassed to even offer a product like this.

Upon receiving, I went to town cleaning my sofa -- which has seen the filth of 4 children -- and couldn't be happier with the result. Downsides -- using it's own formula of cleaning solution, leaving the sofa a bit more wet than I'd expected, cleaning a bit more difficult on rounded sections. But, it's a lot less expensive than having the sofa professionally cleaned once!

I tried the item the moment it arrived. The machines not only looked dirty, but the water tank was linking!! Hello?! Obviously, there is no RE-CONDITION done for the machine I received! I wondered if other machines have been RE-CONDITIONED??!! Buy at your own risk and luck!!

I've used this Spotlifter several times now and been pleased with the peformance. It has good suction for such a small machine. The sprayer is lame so I just pour water on with a cup and spray a spotter then brush and suck! The reservoir for holding the dirty water is small and it fills up quickly. You don't want to use this for a whole room but it does work to lift up spots. Even old spots. I'd recommend it. The price is great.

I never knew how much I needed this machine. I have a toddler, dog, and cat and its amazing how much I need to pull this machine out of the closet. Works well, I have seen no signs of its reconditioned status. Perfect design for its intended purpose, small to moderate carpet stains/spills. I would purchase this again.

If you're looking for an inexpensive bagless, this one is great. My Owner's Guide is for the 4380-4480, so I'm not exactly sure which one I have. I don't have a headlight, so I'm leaning towards the 4380.

I've always been very found of a bagless cleaner versus their bagged counterparts, however, if you want a fantastic bagless, this isn't it. Don't get me wrong, it was worth every penny I paid, however, there are a few drawbacks. The most annoying ones are that the extra extension is supported at the bottom of the cleaner by a small tab. It is very easy to bump this with your foot when turning the unit off and on and also while cleaning, causing the extension to fall off. Also, the dirt cup comes off rather easily, but doesn't go back on quite as well. You must make sure that you have the top hinge seated precisly before the bottom clip will go into place. I have found that the only way I can get the clip to click back into place is to literally slam the cup into place. I've only been using the cleaner for about 4 months and only the upstairs portion of my house, so I'm not sure how many more times I will be able to slam the cup into place before the clip breaks. The dirt cup also has a hinged flap that opens when emptying, so be careful and open it manually instead of letting it fly open on it's own, as this can make a mess.

Other than those items I mentioned, is seems to clean rather well, is light and manuevers easily. I got mine on sale at WalMart for only $49. I don't know that I would have paid much more for it, though.

It was much more than I thought I was getting for the money. Cleans great with all the power of those $200 models.

This vacuum is incredible. I give it 6 stars. It cleaned dirt and dust from my carpet that my old vacuum never touched. The suction power is hard to believe. It is light and easy to maneuver, and the design is excellent. It took me about 30 seconds to assemble from the box, and then I was cleaning. The real proof was when I used it to clean my oriental rugs. It picked up every bit of dirt, and left them immaculate.
