If you've read the majority of the reviews for this product you'll notice there is a consistent problem with the sprayer clogging and no longer working. Here's how to fix it. We originally bought the machine a year and a half ago and it quit spraying after only 2 uses. Bissell replaces it under warranty but the bad thing is that your "new" Little Green is only warranteed for the the rest of the time left on the original one you bought. Of course our replacement quit spraying as well until today when my husband figured out how to fix it. Get some liquid CLR Calcium Lime Rust Remover or Lime-Away product and pour straight into the clean water solution tank. Fill only to about 3/4 of an inch of the CLR in the tank, then turn on the Little Green and push the sprayer button. It will immediately begin spraying again. Let it sit for about 10 minutes, then run the rest of the CLR through. Then run through a tank or two of clean water. The problem is the phosphates in your water that clog the sprayer line. This should get rid of the clogs. I would also follow the advice of running through some clean water before storing your Little Green. Other than the sprayer problem the Little Green is very effective at carpet stains and cleaning.

I have had my little green for about 3 years maybe even longer (mine actually looks different than the one pictured...older model with no heat) and still going strong. I paid $89 at WalMart and it has paid for itself. It is EXCELLENT for the car and spot cleaning. It is definitely designed for small jobs and it is quite good at handling them. So if you are looking for an easy to use machine for small clean-ups this is an excellent choice.

This is an excellent machine to have around the house for cleaning up after pets or anything else. It is nice and small and works very well for such a cheap unit. Also great for cleaning couches and the interrior of cars.

First time you use it.. it works great.. second time it sucks a bit less water, until about the 30th time, it literally does not suck up any water at all. Here is the problem. There is a black sponge filter between the water tank and the vacuum. I have no idea how air passes through this filter, but in design its supposed to. I dont know why but after a couple uses this filter becomes clogged, I have washed this filter and its original state is not restored (it still does not let air pass though). I removed the filter all together and I sucked up more water in the first minute than I got from doing the entire room with the filter in.

What I suggest is this. Take the filter out, and at the same time move vacuum slowly (so water does not splash much) I would change the water before its fills to the limit. After finished, I would remove the container and run the vacuum for second to dry out any water that got into the vacuum.

I gave this thing 3 stars, but the bottom line is it works great if only air could get past the filter/sponge.

I praise your product, i moved into a room that had a rug so dirty you could smell the dirt. well until i got this dirt devil i tried vacuuming it, and tried to spray it with foam cleaner but the smell lingered on. i used the dirt devil 1 time and had to change the water 4 times and when it dried, no, before it dried i smelled the clean, felt the clean and saw the clean. never felt so good getting deep down clean, thanks dirt devil

I have used my new Dirt Devil three times. I have had no problems and I have visibly seen it suck up dirty water. The only stain it didnt clean was a 1 1/2 year old peach juice stain/dirt stain that I have tried to clean for the last year and a half. This machine did clean up my daughters vomit stains on the same carpet. The only time the suction has not worked for me was when the top wasnt seated right.

They say there are no absolutes in this world. Well this "vacuum" refutes that theory. It is an ABSOLUTE waste of time and money. If you totally field strip it and clean it every time you use it, it is mediocre at best The little shark that came FREE with the big one was overpriced! I wish I had found this sight before I wasted my money on this pile of junk.

This vacuum picks up SOME stuff. It also spits back out a great deal. So you never actually get your carpet clean. I have had it less than a year and I hate it. I always hope it will just completely shut down so I can feel better about replacing it so soon. And the hose gets clogged really easily. You spend more time trying to make it work than getting any cleaning done. The worst part is that Shark products are not cheap. They are more expensive than a lot of reliable brands and yet Shark products get terrible reviews.

This little canister vacuum is excellent for several reasons. It is compact and has great tools. It picks up dirt, etc. great. We have 2 vacation rental cabins and I have purchased them for ease in storage and for the multi-purpose tools for when I clean upholstery, window crevices, hard to reach areas. Light and easy to maneuver. Also love the easy to dump dirt area...no bags to deal with except an occassional hepa filter.

I had read good things about Steam Buggy and it worked OK for the half dozen or so times I did use it. I used it to get off wallpaper but it did leak so I burned my hand with the hot water. Tightening the attachments didn't help. I also used it to steam clean my stairs and it worked fine. I didn't use it for about 4 months and when I tried to remove the cap, it was impossible to remove. I had to take it to my auto mechanic and even with his tools, he couldn't remove it without breaking it. I've noticed other reviewers talk about the cap breaking. TriStar is impossible to get in touch with. I tried calling for days to no avail. I'm tossing Steam Buggy and buying the McCulloch MC-1275 Steam Cleaner since it got good reviews on this site. If you get a Steam Buggy, remove the cap when storing it, especially if you don't use it often.

I have had mine for several years. I use it just about everywhere inside and outside of my house. Cleans the tub, the oven, cabinets, and anywhere that has "gunk" stuck in crevices. Plus it steams wrinkles out of curtains and clothing, and kills dust mites. It is good at getting tough grease off of surfaces too. I have gotten a lot of use out of it.
The downside of this steamer is that you have to refill it often and the stream of steam is constant. It would be better if the user could have more control over the stream with a trigger of some sort. Then the tank wouldn't run out so quickly. Sometimes when I'm using it, I have to just put the hose in the sink while I wipe off whatever area I just steamed. Otherwise, if I put it down on the floor, the floor gets wet.
Overall I really like this steamer. I would buy it again. It is powerful for its size. Maybe the next "generation" they manufacture will have a trigger and bigger tank.

I like using the steambuggy but needs to have a on and off switch, not just constant use... cap also broke shortly after purchase, and now I can not locate spare brushes, ( they do wear out, or get lost) if anyone knows how to get them, I sure would like to know. Called the 800 number for purchase and they gave me a email address to write to, have not recieved a reply, and it has been 2 weeks

Leaves floor rather wet,I would not use on wood. This unit performs NOTHING like the infomercials. I kept it for mopping only. I have alot of tile and it works great on it. If I had to do it again I would buy the other shark machine for $99. NOTHING ELSE really worked on this machine.

I think this product is great... It's great for cleaning in the cracks around the kitchen and bathroom

This machine is incrediable! I have used it for everything in my house - I have used the scraper attachment to remove stickers from new windows, and doors, and take down a wallpaper border! There is just so much you can do with machine - it has helped me in every area of the house - this is especially good at cleaning your floor without the chemicals and gives them a nice shine too! NO MORE WAXING! This has also come in handy for cleaning my smooth top range - I no longer have to buy that special cleaner for it when things become burnt on! It also works great to remove stains from your clothing - blasts them right out! The only complaint I have is that water tank should hold more water for those times when you want to go from one end of the house to the other without down time! This is well worth every dollar I spent - get this and save yourself a ton of money by not having to buy those chemical cleaners anymore!

It worked great for 2 years. I would expect a machine that got gentle use once a month would last longer. From the other reviews, it sounds like the customer service over at Bissell leaves much to be desired.

The construction is terrible. It broke 3 times within the warranty and is now broken again. I will not purchase another Bissell product.

This is the best I've ever had.. I've had mine over 5 years and us it every month if not more. I have two small kids and two cats and a messy husband. Well worth it! The house we now live in has Burber carpet and there were unknown stains all over the carpet when we bought the house. Surprisingly, this carpet cleaner got them all out. My Bissell keeps going and going! I'm dreading the day it dies. I've still never had it SERVICED or needed to replace a belt. The only thing I've replaced was the water container due to the movers smashing it.
I will say for those who might have problems with the sprayer, always remove the water container and solution container and keep them seperate from the machine or let them dry before putting them back in the machine.
I highly recommed Bissell to everyone and I've already turned 4 of my friends on to it.

I had this vacume for less then a year. in that time I found that it clogged easily, and on bare floors it really could not handle anything larger then sand.
There was smell of burning rubber, and then the spinning brush no longer worked.

As for the design, the power button is in a inconvenient place. i should have retuned this immediately. Oh well, never another Bissell.

I have had this vacuum cleaner for a year now. Works really well. It does get clogged easily and loses power. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned after every use (just wash the containers and the foam and plastic filters with water). But if you take good care of it, it will give very good results. It brought out dust that my older vacuum would have never picked up. It's very sturdy and made of good quality material. The bagless format means that you don't have worry about buying bags all the time (which people like me always forget) :)
Overall it's a great vacuum cleaner for the price.

I absolutely love this vacuum! It cleans really well. The dirt compartment is easy to dump and the filter easy to clean. I have had this vacuum for 9 months with no problems. You still can't beat a broom for large floors, but for carpet this thing is great. The extensions are very handy. I was hoping to be able to clean blinds with it, but the available extensions aren't brushy enough for that. Not light as a feather, but not horribly heavy.
As with all vacuums, it is noisy. It is a bewilderment to me that engineers can make upscale cars virtually noiseless but not vacuums.
Anyway, a great vacuum and worth what I paid for it.

I usually read reviews here so I hope I can help someone else. This is by far the worst vacuum I have ever owned. I have two dogs and a cat and the filter clogged within one minute (really) of start up. The dirt cup is small and it shoots dirt out on bare floors. I could not get the hose to work and therefore could not get the 'tiger paw' to work either. I now will not suck since I had to clean up a chocolate powder spill. I cleaned the filters out with water and compressed air and still nothing. I tried to return it to the store but since it was used, same item only. I have written Eureka demanding a full refund. I will let you know how that works out.

This vacuum worked for the first month then lost almost all suction! If you pull the hose out & try to vacuum the baseboards or anything it does not suck it up. Yet if you put your hand on it it will suck your hand. It sprays anything hard all over the place & I have even seen dust spraying out the front when I vacuum in front of the window. I tried vacuuming capture up which is a powder that cleans carpet, It would not even clean that up it just sprayed it out the front of the vacuum all over the place!!! I had to use a shop vac to clean it up! I cannot believe they can sell this piece of you know what!!! I have owned it for less then a year, total waste of money!!!

I am so impressed with this vacuum in the 12 hours I have had it! I vacuumed an area of my family room three different times and was so shocked at the amount of dirt it pulled out! I looked at the Dyson but couldn't justify the cost. The Dyson can't have more suction than this one does. The power claw attachment actually pulls the carpet on the stairs! I cannot vouch for its longevity but so far this is an amazing vacuum!
