Very light, long cord, and plenty of power to pick up dog hair and other light items. This is not for someone who wants a full fledged vacuum. My only complaint is that it's made of cheap plastic and will most likely crack/break if dropped.

I had an old Eureka electric broom similar to this one. It picked up better when it was about to "croak" than others I have purchased when they were brand new. It is also easier to empty than others I have tried. I have hardwood floors and this vacuum works great.

I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets pretty hairy. This vacuum works better than the larger, more expensive ones I have used. I got it as a gift and just saw the price now. I cannot believe how cheap it is. I was thinking it was more expensive than the bigger ones because it is smaller and easier to use but works even better!

It's very cheap, works great, small, light and you don't have to spend money on vacuum bags.

I bought 3 of the Shark Sweepers over the span of about 2 years. In my bathroom I have the type of carpeting sold for bathrooms that isn't affixed to the floor in any way and is relatively lightweight. Kleenex `dust' and towel lint and clothing threads show up so easily on the black carpet that it needs to be cleaned every day. Even if I wanted to haul out my Hoover vacuum cleaner that often (which I don't), the suction on the Hoover is so powerful even on the lowest setting that it pulls the bathroom carpet into the vacuum. So, the Shark Sweeper is exactly what I've needed - a product that can clean up small particles without the powerful suction of a vacuum cleaner.

Unfortunately, the complaints about this product are absolutely correct - the battery is lousy. Almost from the moment the initial 24 hour charge was complete, the sweeper rarely had enough power to do more than one daily cleanup (which requires less than 5 minutes) without an overnight charge. Then, over time, the battery on the Shark takes less and less of a charge and within a surprising short amount of time it won't take a charge at all. So, when the first one stopped working, I bought a second one, and when it stopped working I bought the newer version, this product - the 13-inch, 3 speed model.

Even though I can afford to buy yet another one, I'm fighting the urge, because whether or not you can afford to buy another one should not be the issue. It's a defective product. People like me who keep buying a defective product only encourage manufacturers to keep on making them.

The Sweeper does an excellent job but....it died after 4-5 uses, I called customer service (India) and they gave me a step by step hocus pocus routine to "reactivate" the machine and assured me that would work after recharging for 24 hours. That didn't work, called again they said they would send a new battery...three weeks later no battery, called India again and was told the battery was on back order and it would be three more weeks....to be continued.....

It really does the job, I have been using the Shark for over a year now and as long you maintain it, it will last, just anything else. Also the battery went bad the first six months, called customer service and they sent me another one FREE and FREE shipping.
All in All a very good product. Would recommend it.

Yes, very suck! Any dusk on the floor, in the corners and even carpet it sucks them all. I even use it to sucks the dust inside the machine of my CPU.

This is the small vacuum that actually works. The suction is terrific, and if you have carpeted stairs, you will most certainly appreciate both the brushing action and the flip top that allows you to vacuum the risers. I have a heavy canister vac which is wonderful on my hardwood floors and area rugs but very difficult to use on the stairs. This is a quick and easy way to get the job done. I also use it on the basement staircase which is not carpeted, but this little vac really gets the corners and edges. The on-board tool for crevices also has amazing suction. The machine is light, the cord is long enough to do a whole set of stairs, and I am sure it will be great in the auto as well. This small vac is worth every penny.

I purchased this product last week and have already returned it to BJs. What a waste of my time and money! For the past five years, I have used Eureka's "The Boss" Lite Cordless in my home filled with dog and cat fur, bird feathers, and messy husband and toddler syndromes. Unfortunately, it has finally worn out. Our floors are particularly bad in the spring with shedding and moulting pets, so this was a key time to test this product. It failed!
Unlike "The Boss" it failed to consistently pick up fur and was equally unable to pick up small items such as granola and feathers. I tried all of the various settings and the recommended multiple charges/discharges and vacuuming "pathways" to improve function. None of them worked.
Additionally, the product was awkward to use, especially when your surfaces change (playmats, linoleum, hardwoods, tile, carpets - we have it all), which caused the machine to jam and turn off. The receptacle filled quickly and dramatically reduced suction. The Shark was not as maneuverable as "The Boss" in tight spaces because of its size and shape. I had to give up on my stairs.
I had my old "Boss" for five years, as stated above. I'll be reordering another today. I've been very satisfied with it (our's is nicknamed "Miss Betty") and its been a champ with the copious amounts of dog fur in our house. Save your time and money - avoid the Shark and choose a different cordless sweeper!

Luckily I bought this sweeper on sale with a coupon. Otherwise, I would be very upset. This product started out fine: it's cordless and did run well on both carpet and vinyl. But after maybe half a dozen times of using it, it would work for 30 seconds and then the battery would shut down. I had charged the battery fully, so I know it was full of juice when I started. I was just very disappointed with this and frustrated every time I had to use it. Plus, it was too wide to get in the tight spots on my floors and it wouldn't go right up to the edges. I bought a Swiffer Sweep + Vac and couldn't be happier with it. True, it doesn't work on carpet, but I just use my vaccuum cleaner for that anyway. It's much cheaper, cordless, and has a swivel head to get to those hard-to-reach places. I was not impressed with the Shark brand and probably won't by anything from them again.

I have been satisfied with this product, however, customer service is the worst of any company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a replacement charger and it took over 3 months to receive it. I received a card from them about every 4 weeks repeatedly stating that "due to overwhelming demand the product is out of stock". The card didn't even state that it was from Euro-Pro or what I had ordered. I would never buy another product from this company again because of their customer service and looking at some of the other reviews, I am not alone.

Don't let the size of the Bissell GoVac deter you - it's a hungry little champ! Of course it's not as powerful as a vacuum, so have the right expectations of what you're getting. It's extremely simple to operate and does so at an acceptable volume. It picks up cat hair, cat litter and food from carpeting and the small sized head actually helps get into some tighter spaces. I bought this to replace our Shark which died (and if you've had one you know how it feels to have thrown away that money). After we got our Bissell my mother wanted one too (funny enough to replace her dead Shark!). I would say the only negative is the smaller dust cup. However it holds enough to do the job and is actually very easy (and cleaner) to empty. Also, in the past when I've had a problem with a Bissell product they were there to help and did so politely and quickly - I cannot say the same for the Shark company. Overall this is absolutely a best buy for the money - and with the Bissell reputation behind it I hope we'll be enjoying our GoVac for a long time to come! This little sweeper was a *fantastic* purchase. Don't be deceived by it's small size -- it's power is formidible. It picks up everything from pet hair to dust particles to large crumbs on our hardwood, tile, and shag carpeted floors. Yet, its compact size makes it easy on your back (so we don't have to lug the humongous Dyson out as often) and enhances its maneuverability between table legs, chairs, behind the TV, etc. It works for about 20 minutes per charge, which is long enough to spot clean and keep the house under control. We've had it for over four months now, and I'd say our house is at least 200% cleaner because of it, since it's so easy, almost fun, to just whip this little baby out and let her rip. It's not even very noisy (the cat's not afraid of it). The only drawbacks I can think of are because it's a sweeper instead of a vacuum, it cleans only perfectly flat, open, surfaces well. Thus, it doesn't do a good job as a "hand vac" to clean the floor of the car since our car floors aren't perfectly flat (they're undulating). Also, I tried it on the carpet on the stairs, and it doesn't get the dust in the nooks and crannies well. I just use a regular vacuum or dustbuster with a crevice tool for those jobs. Also, it will probably last longer if it is not overcharged on a continual basis. That said, even if this thing lasts only a year, we will gladly repurchase because we have perpetually crumb-generating toddlers, pets, and humans around here and this inexpensive GoVac has raised the quality of our daily life.

Just what I wanted! Perfect? No, for that I would get the vacume out. 3 year olds spill cherrios from family room to the other end of the house, no fuss, no problem, sweep 'em up and empty in the garbage, and move on to more important things! note: the handle comes off sometimes, so I glued it on.

I am old enough to remember when these things were as common as vacuum cleaners. This one picks junk up as well as any other model I can remember. It is unreasonable to expect them to complete the task as well as a good vacuum. You must press down a bit and go over the spot a few times. But, this contraption does have some advantages over a vacuum. It is non-electric (no cord to fuss with), small (fits in a corner), lightweight, and it is QUIET. My one complaint with this model is that the handle (three sections fitting together like a fishing rod) comes loose sometimes when the carpet sweeper is being lifted off the floor. It is a minor nuisance. If you live in a small place without kids or large animals this may be all you need to keep the carpets clean provided you borrow a vacuum and rent a carpet cleaner twice a year. Overall, I'm satisfied with it.

I have an area rug that I constantly have to haul out the huge vacuum everytime I want it to look clean - Now I don't have to do that - I was totally surprised at how well this inexpensive tool cleaned my rug!!!

This little sweeper works so great in the beginning. My first 2 worked great and then the battery wouldn't hold a charge. After a month each, I couldn't get the sweeper to run for more than a minute before the battery would die, and that was on a full charge. This 3rd and final sweeper motor died after 5 months, I turn it on and I can hear a low wurring sound, but not the roller won't budge and the roller is completely clean.

Good enough for small jobs. My three-year old can operate it with ease. It is not powerful enough to replace a good broom or swiffer. Great for nightly under-the-table sweep-ups but not much else.

It is so light that I had my doubts about its cleaning ability, but was surprised how much it picked up. The cleaning unit is slim enough to go under the sofa, etc. The dust container is handy-pull it out and dump the debris. It claims to able to pick up nuts and bolts, but I haven't had to do that ... and hope not to test it on such. It has a rechargeable ni-cad battery that has a 30 minute use time. I recommend this highly over the heavy and cumbersome Rival Dirt Devil Broom Vac. I am very pleased with this purchase.

My previous vacuum, a Eureka Boss, just wasn't getting my old shag carpeting clean enough. So after reading the reviews here, I decided to spring for this Bissell upright. It was quite a bit more than I had paid for the Eureka, but if I got the performance I expected it was worth it. Well, after figuring out how to assemble the thing, on my first use it sprayed dust and dirt all over itself - and the floor. The attachment hose does double duty as the route from the floor to the bag, and you have to REALLY jam the hose in tightly (beyond what I was able to do, and I'm not a weak person). In fact, in order to push the vacuum you have to have incredible upper body strength - I keep it on the High Carpet setting and still struggle by the end of my 12x16 living room. Due to the wheel width, the edge cleaning is virtually non-existent. The Turbo Brush attachment works wonders on pet hair covered upholstery, though. And it does do a decent cleaning job on my carpets, with a nice wide cleaning path. So if you want to build some major upper body strength, and don't care if the edges of your carpet get dusty, then this is the machine for you.

I bought this vaccuum after doing a lot of research and reading plenty of reviews. I must say all of my research paid off, this was a great buy. The name speaks for itself, PowerGlide, this vaccum glides right cross my carpet surface. I LOVE IT. I also must commend Amazon for the good delivery time.

I'm delighted with this vacuum cleaner. I recently got a cat and wanted to keep the pet hair under control. I thought I would have to spend at least twice as much money (probably more!) to get this much suction. It pushes just fine across the carpet (even on low setting) and seems to do a good job. The real benefits are the attachments. The hose has fantastic suction and they weren't kidding when they called it a turbo brush. I wouldn't use it on anything delicate, but it's great for regular upholstery. I used the dusting attachment on my lampshades and was impressed. I also wanted a bagged vacuum (less mess... which is the point of cleaning!), which seem to be harder to find these days. The downsides are that it's sorta hard to get the hose out of it's holder and it's a little heavy. But overall, I would definitely recommend this vacuum, especially if you're looking for good attachment suction. And only $80!!

First of all, I never leave negative reviews of products on Amazon because I hate being a complainer. I felt the need to warn others about my experience with this model. I was so excited about this vacuum when I first got it. Everything was awesome. The suction is great, the cord is longer than other models. I didn't have any problems with it whatsoever and was prepared to happily keep this for years. After about 5 weeks of normal use, it started making a horrible noise and a strong burning odor filled my house. My husband took it apart and the belt had slipped off and was melting the plastic next to it. He fixed it once and then it happened again. I notified Amazon and they let me return it for a replacement (hoping it was just a freak incident). Well just yesterday, after 6 weeks of use, my 2nd vacuum did the exact same thing. I am so frustrated because I love this vacuum. I read some other reviews about problems with the belt. I told Amazon to let Bissell know about it so they can recall it. I have another Bissell model and have never had a problem with it, so this is in no way a negative review of the Bissell brand. I just wanted to let potential buyers know that there's a pretty good possibility that this could happen to other units as well. Please shop around before you take a chance on this.

im amazed at how much this vacuum sucks up. i just used it for the first time an hour or so ago and im very pleased with how well it works. the only thing i noticed is the vacuum gets very hot...maybe this is because it works so good though?? we will see but for now im very happy with my purchase. another plus is i selected the free shipping option and i got it in 2 days!! :)

I got this sweeper at Kohls for about $31.00. That included a 10% off discount for a new credit card account and 15% off for a special promotion. The bissell performs well and passed my homemade tests. It picked up black pepper very well along with cheerios, bird seed,potting soil and coffee. I recomend to use this mainly on hard surfaces such as wood and tile. When I tried to use it on short pile carpeting, the little rubber fin on the bottom kept coming off when I went in reverse with the unit. It seems like it kept catching on the fibers. The dust bin is fairly large which means you do not have to be constantly emptying it. The unit is made from plastic and I do not know if it will last for the long haul. Time will tell. Overall, it is fun to use, like a kid's toy and I feel it's worth 30.00.

This is the first time I bought a sweeper and it was surprisingly effective on both floors and rugs. The sweeper picked up crumbs and dust on tile and hardwood floors. It also worked well on rugs but probably will not pick up pet hair. The sweeper holds charge well and will run up to 60 minutes on a full charge. The corner brushes will sweep close to baseboards but is not electrically powered. The dustpan can hold enough dirt and debris for about 10 to 15 ninutes of use.

We love this little sweeper. We use it at the office where there is alot of heavy traffic and we don't always have time to get a full size vaccuum out to pick up everything dragged in on a day-to-day basis. This works WONDERFUL!! Much better than ever expected!!!
