Overall, I'm very happy with this vaccuum. It has excellent suction power, has a wide variety of attachments, and is extremely useful. The downside- it's rather noisy (not deafening, but louder than my old Miele) and has some maneuveribility issues (the cord gets all twisted around). The bottom line: good vaccuum for the price.

This vacuum has a variety of settings to handle different surfaces, plus several handy tools to clean high, low, and in between. I especially like the swivel action of the wheels and hose - easy to maneuver. The canister is a bit heavy, but it's a good tradeoff for powerful suction.

I had this vacuum five minutes before pieces of the bristles from the brush roll were flying all over. It is a cheaply made vacuum. Of course for being a commercial vacuum it is certainly on the low end, so what can one expect?

This vacuum does what it's supposed to do. It actually cleans dirt and dog hair out of the carpets. The most amazing thing is that the fifty foot cord weighs more than the unit itself so that pushing it around is exceedingly less of a strain. Afterall who wants to do their exercise pushing and pulling some heavy vacuum cleaner around the house. As for all the attachments, we still have the old beasts to place where the attachments are needed and not need to drag a beater bar with them.

I ordered this after using a friend's Dyson. The dyson worked well but ouch - heavy, lots of "stuff" (hoses, switches, dust cups, etc.) and NOT INEXPENSIVE!! This Powr Flite vacuum has EXCELLENT suction - it pulled dirt/etc. out of carpet the Dyson couldn't get. I was somewhat concerned when I got the vac and opened it as it is so light. But when I put it together (very easy to do) I saw it was very well built. I plugged it in and WOW - it was something else! Very easy to move especially compared to the Dyson and the other hoover I had. The hoover was actually a power-drive and this vacuum, the PowrFlite is much easier to use. The cord is great and I can keep vacuuming withought having to stop and re-plug. A very good product. Also - this was my 5th and so far most expensive Amazon purchase. I continue to be very impressed with Amazon - great selection, great products and fantastic service. Got the vac about 3 days after I ordered it - with basic delivery. I highly recomend Amazon and the PowrFlite.

I have been using Orecks to vacuum my motels for the past ten years. Because of the price of Oreck, I decided to try this Powerflite vacuum. I am glad I did because not only does it do ten times better than the Oreck, it also cost a fraction of the price. This is one time when I say something "sucks" it is a good thing and Powerflite sucks an amazing amount better than a Oreck, without doubt.

I just want to say "Please don't buy this vacuum" Here is why:
1. When I vacuum on hardwood floors, the dirt would shoot out from the back of the vacuum itself. Make my job twice as hard. It does not do that on carpet, though.
2. It is heavy.
3. The cable is short, and so I have to keep on moving it to different plug in the other room.
4. It blows air everywhere and so when I tried to vacuum my golden retriever's hair I decided it's better to use a broom instead.
5. It is not wide enough.
You really get what you buy for a 'cheap' vacuum, don't expect much from it!!!

I bought this vacuum and it was fine on carpet (though a bit noisy.) It was awful on hardwood floors - it blew the dust everywhere. Stay away if you plan on using it on anything besides carpet!

This vacuum is quite handy. The fold-away feature is really nice as I don't have a ton of storage space. I have been a bit disappointed in the4 durability though, with the belt already breaking. More of a nuisance than a problem, but if the belt breaks less than a month into it, what is in sotre for me down the road?
