I bought this vacuum after researching for about three weeks after my Hoover died. Mind you that I do not own another vacuum and didn't vacuum for three weeks. I should also mention that I have two kids under the age of four and two indoor cats that shed all over. The day I received the new Bissell, I quickly put it together and vaccumed the entire house- all 1200 square feet of carpet. The dirt cup wasn't even half full. My old Hoover would be full after just one room so you can imagine my disappointment since this vacuum got such rave reviews here on Amazon. My recommendation- don't waste your money on this vaccum. There are definitely better ones out there.

I really like this vacuum. It really picks up the dirt. It does a great job around the edges of the carpet and walls.
I like the on board attachments. I just wish it had a tool for using on the furniture and steps.
I'd buy it again if I was looking for a new vacuum.

We received this machine about two weeks ago and we think its an amazing value. I know we hear hyperbole about almost everything these days, this vacuum is definitely not hype.
Quality construction, powerful, easy to clean and easy to use. The only criticism I have is that the power brush does not stop when the handle is in the upright position when using the tools for the hose or changing the brush height. We bought the machine with the HEPA filter and it's worked better than expected. You won't be sorry you bought this vacuum. Real value for the price, judge for yourself!

I own a residential house-cleaning company and use this vacuum (and a Bissell Butler Revolution - wish they still made those!)to vacuum floors. This is a great vacuum at a great price - have used it to clean at least 6 homes weekly for the last 6 months - including homes with LOTS of cats and dogs. I clean the filters weekly - very easy to pop out, and the main filter inside the clear dust cup just needs to be rinsed and popped back in once it's dry. This vacuum has been a real workhorse. Something got tangled around the front wheel and it came off - called Bissell and they had a replacement to me within a week - no charge, as it was still under warranty. This vacuum does great on all sorts of carpets - like most uprights, it scatters dust and dirt around on hardwood and tiled floors - but that's not what it should be used for anyway. Was going to get an Oreck, but just the price of BAGS for the Orecks is prohibitive - another great feature of this Bissell is that the dust cup comes out easily (but locks in securely with just a flick of a lever)and has quite a bit of room in there to vacuum an entire house before it has to be emptied. Am very pleased with this vacuum.

With Bissell I've finally found the answer to dreading vacuuming! I see now that this model is no longer available through Amazon, but please read this reveiw anyway because it may apply to other Bissell bagless models too.

A couple of days before this one arrived I threw my Dirt Devil Featherlite out on the curb! I just couldn't take the NOISE anymore. I've kept my old Hoover around because they just don't build 'em like that anymore -- after 25 years it still works. BUT, even Hoover doesn't make a decent vacuum cleaner anymore.

This beautiful Bissell -- NOT loud and abnoxious, not heavy, and easy to assemble, use, and empty. What's really really cool though is that it actually works! It gets up more than any other vacuum I've used. My rugs and carpets look GREAT -- and that's with four cats in the house! And, a real bonus is that the hose is FLEXIBLE -- it's not one of those awful rigid hoses that doesn't seem to want to go the direction you're aiming for!

This item should get a lot more than 5 stars!

We purchased this vaccum after a lot of research and reading the reviews from amazon.com. We found this prodcuct is excellent . Highly recommended.

This vacuum is powerful. It works well on big area floor. But if you want to use those on-board tools on hard-to-reach area or furnitures, it will be very dispointing. This is a big design flaw of this vacuum. There is a floor brush on the bottom of this vacuum. The brush works efficiently to loose the dirts from carpet and let the hose, which locate behind the brush, to suck them up. When you want to use those tools, you have to pull the hose from the bottom and connect it with the tool. However, the floor brush still works! Now you can imagine what will happen. The powerful high speed brush throws all dirts from floor through the bottom opening and these dirts happily fly over in your room.

I have owned the product for one month. While using it one day, I smelled what I believed to be rubber burning (the belt). I took off the bottom piece to check the belt and a large piece of plastic fell out. I replaced the contraption and tried to use the vacuum again, but now the belt will not stay in place, causing more damage. The vacuum worked well for the month I had it, minus the noise and weight. I contacted Bissell and they basically told me "too bad, so sad." Good luck returning it to the place you purchased it.

In response to all of you customers who commented that the vacuum stopped working well after one month, clean the filters!! The same thing happened to me and after cleaning the filters, it worked like new again. There are two filters, one above the dirt cup and one below it that build up dust gunk. My only complaint for this vacuum is that cleaning these filters every month can be a pain.

I bought this, I won't honor it with the name of vaccum, at Best Buy, after reading reviews that gave it an excellent review. Within 45 days this "thing" didn't amount to a hill of beans. You run it for 10 minutes, it overheats, and it shuts down. The canister doesn't work. It has about as much suction as you would have sucking through a straw. I'm in the process of dealing with the company about either repairing or replacing "it!" I went to Sears and purchased a $89.00 canister type. It runs circles around the thing. Maybe I bought a lemon. Is there a lemon law for this type of "thing?" Oh, the handle is held by two measey screws that constantly come loose, if you tighten it too much you run the risk of stripping the plastic screw holes.

I bought this vacuum after my Hoover Windtunnel started to show it's age - I thought the lift off feature was great for my hardwood floors/stairs. While the liftoff is a nice feature, the shortcomings far outweigh it. It's clumsy and awkward to use, especially when moving from floor to carpet and over thresholds (or any uneven surface). The cord is often in the way, and the suction.. well, it "sucks", but not the way it should! I can't believe how little it picks up - my 6 yr old Hoover does a far better job! The power brush feature is terrible on hardwoods/tile, which would be fine since there's a shutoff, but since the suction is so terrible, you end up just running over the same pieces of dirt. I regret spending money of this waste of a vacuum - I will undoubtedly buy a Windtunnel next time (which will likely be soon, as I cannot spend the ridiculous time it takes to clean just one room with this "electronic hokie". Caveat emptor!

This vacuum has the ability to suck more dirt that you believed you ever had. That's the good thing about it! The next best thing is the bagless clear cup! It's easy to empty and great not to deal with bags anymore. There is a filter that needs cleaning out every now and then.

The vacuum has power in movement and this model is equipped with the detachable canister. I don't use it much, because it tends to "fall down" frequently.

The attachment wand is easy to put together, but you need to always make sure to lock in place, otherwise it comes loose.

At times you might believe that the brush is not working, but the vacuum brush is made to turn only at a certain position of the vacuum. So don't freak if you think the brush isn't turning.

The worst thing about this is the NOB to adjust the height of the vacuum for floor or carpet. There is a trick and if you don't know it or stumble on it, it is impossible to turn! I found the trick accidently and can't remember how it worked right now.

Overall, the vacuum has powerful suction and you can see everything you picked up and empty easily!......MzRizz
