This vacuum should be off the market
THE WORSTvacuum cleaner I have ever used. I bought this one to replace my 22 year old Kenmore, not because it was broken, simply to get an upgrade to a hepa filter. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. You have to turn this one off to change carpet height, position or to manual use. There is no edge cleaner nor automatic retractable cord. The pickup on a basic smooth carpet is so poor that I have to keep going over it to pick up the fuzz that it makes and does not pick up. This is the worst vacuum for anything you are trying to pick up, like dirt. You are not supposed to use it on a hard floor either. Even the manual that came with it is awful, very little info. My little Kenmore vacuum that I bought in 1981 still worked like a champ, had an edge cleaner, retractable cord and would go from the carpeting to the tile floor like a champ. I gave it to the maintenance man in my building and he got the better of the deal. If I hadn't bought it online I would take it back immediately but now it would cost me to repack and ship back. I hate this vacuum and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
Not much to improve on this one.My husband saids I am the queen of vacuums. But when I find something I like I stick with it. I have had this vacuum for almost 5 years w/o any problems. No broken parts and it's never needed repair. Cleaning is great and it's easy to use. I orginally brought it because of physical problems and needed a vacuum that would move w/o pushing, now my 9 yo daughter does the vacuuming with ease. Would be nice if it had a longer hose for the attachments. And it is too heavy to be carrying up & down the stairs all the time. In our last house I had less expensive light weight vacuum for the second floor. This is a great vacuum for the ranch house that we have now.

DISPOSABLE VACUUMThe vacuum is a little cumbersome for something small. It does vacuum fairly well, but as stated not meant for a main vac. I purchased one for a summer home and used it very little. A maximum of half a dozen times. Battery did not last. Cost more for a battery and the vacuum. Might as well dispose of it when battery dead than just buy a new battery!
Is it wrong to be in love with my vacuum cleaner?Let me start by saying i hate to clean - i pay someone to come to my home and do it for me, that is how much i can not stand cleaning! However, since we puchased our home, which has Pergo flooring and slate and travertine marble throughout the entire house, and NO carpeting, i had a need for a good vacuum cleaner- i researched, and got this one - i LOVE it- it is light, it is powerful, it is easy to empty the canister and it works perfectly. i actually ENJOY vacuuming with this tool. I have a cat and a puppy and they both shed, and this gets all of the hair - i had a golden retriever and it picked up all of his hair, and now we have a yellow lab, and his hair is also not a problem. This is simply the best thing ever GET IT!
The Cat's Meow!I have never loved a house cleaning item of any kind but I can't say that any longer. This little unit has become my new best friend!
We live in the country and between my husband and our border collie I don't know who tracks in more... it's a close tie. I was sweeping the floor daily with a broom but I wasn't keeping up until now.
This is the "greatest" little vacuum. I love that it doesn't have a cord and it's so fast and easy to use. I wouldn't recommend it for the main vacuum of the house but for quick pick up's and for hard floors you can't beat it.
I have to work a little to get all the dog hair out of the filter when I empty it but I haven't had a vacuum yet that I didn't have to work on removing the hair in some way.
If something happened to this one would I buy another ... most definetly. It is worth every cent that I paid for it.

Think long term, dont get itI had this vacuum for over a year. The suction is fine, but over time the noise level has gotten unbearable. The cheap casing around the roller begins to vibrate making sounds as loud as a lawn mower. If you buy this, think long term. After the 1 year warranty is up there is nothing more they can do for you. I recommend not buying this product because of the cheap quality.
Not much better than an old broomDon't waste your money, after less than a year, I'm shopping for a vacuum again. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra money and buy something that actually works.
Love it!I have had this vacuum for about a year and I love it! No problems at all. I have two dogs and this bagless picks up much more hair than my previous vacuum. Light weight, Filter does need to be cleaned, but who cares. The clean carpet is worth it! I highly recommend this vacuum.

Stay away from buying this vacuum cleaner, unless if you like to waste money and punish yourself on top of that. There is nothing good about this vacuum. The belt breaks every two months on the average, it's heavy as lead to carry around especiallly from floor to floor (the self propelled does no good here), the attachments fall off all the time so you are forced to throw them in a closet never to be found again. And the worst, every 3 months you better be prepared to stash $30 to the nearest dealer to unplug the inaccessable tubes that seem to have been designed for that one purpose only. To get plugged every 3 months! No vacuum as a result. There is no way that you can access them to clean them, so your only recourse is to take it for the $30 "unplugging" service.
I was taken and I am very sorry for it. Don't fall into the same trap. I am questioniong if Eureka is not paying some people to write favorable reviews!
