I bought this vacuum 3 months ago & so far Im satisfied with its cleaning power & powerful suction, it is noisy & a little heavy to lift but worth its price...

The Good: Does a very good job of cleaning my carpets and rug. I've had similarily priced Eureka and Red Devil uprights that did not do as thorough a job. Also, both of those brands fell apart after a few months. Comes with several hose attatchments, and (for me) it's pretty lightweight.

The Bad: you need to assemble it and there's a flaw in the instructions in my opinion. The last step they have you do is to break off the on/off plastic lock but it's hard to do after everything is locked in and put together. I had to take everything apart, break the piece off, and then reassemble. This uses filter bags that you'll beed to stock up on. This isn't a super-heavy duty vacuum. It's a lightweight plastic model (but I live in an apartment and it's plenty for me).

For this style and price range, this is my recommendation over similar Eureka and Red Devil brand vacuums.

I think it's a good vacuum but it is kinda loud although i collect vacuums, i can't find a store in which i can purchase it

I've had this vacuum for the past 3 1/2 years, and it has workd without any issues (just one belt change needed). It's light weight... great for taking up and down stairs. But in the past few months, noticed that it only performs well when a new bag is inserted... subsequent cleanings just don't have enough suction. The hose is a little short for many jobs, but has lots of suction.

The Hoover soft & light does a good job on carpets, very good on bare floors, its light, and affordable, however its a bit noisy, it needs a longer power cord, could use another extension tube, the hose isn't conected at the power base, and although its very clean to change the bag its hard to get to. I whould recommend this vacuum if your looking for an affordable, good cleaning vacuum. :-)

Excellent machine, perfect for my use. Had the more expensive upright Hoover, bagless with HEPA filtration etc, PowerMax, but like this one alot better. Don't have to clean 3 filters and empty cup. Just have to throw the bag out! Great convenience. Great suction even with tools which I WILL use! HAVE LONG HAIRED DOGS! Very easy to assemble, Excellent fast shipping via Amazon. This was my first Amazon purchase! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO PPL WANTING SOMETHING SIMPLE THAT WORKS GREAT!

I cannot say enough about this vacuum cleaner. It picks up dirt great. It runs wonderful. I had a self-propelled Hoover vacuum cleaner for about 10 years before this one. It quit on me and I thought I would order this one for the upstairs and get another one later for the down stairs. I am going to keep this one for the down stairs. I was afraid that this would require some really hard pushing since I was used to a self-propelled but I was surprised it was so easy to work with. It is wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone, actually I already have to my 75 year old mother. This is something she would not have any problem with. The only con I found was the short cord. It has a 20 foot cord where my old one had a 31 foot cord, but I can either switch outlets or put a small extension cord on it. It is GREAT!!!

my mom is a clean freak and she is 53 she hates this one she says its bad becase it does not clean that well and it is a mess to empety.

This was the first appliance I have ever ordered online and I was able to put it together myself from the directions. I am not very mechanical, so this worked well for me. The product is very easy to use and it's lightweight. I'm very satisfied with it.

We have owned this vacuum for a year, and I spend 10 minutes hours tearing it apart and removing clogs for every 1 minute of vacuum use. I am not exaggerating. There is no reason for this. We have 2 short hair cats that never shed. It isn't like we are taxing the vacuum to death. It is simply a bad product.

This vacuum has become a running joke in our home. Every Saturday I grab a screw driver and tear the vacuum apart. I then remove clump after clump of clog, throw away the huge clumps, vacuum the rest, and within 1 minute it refuses to pick anything else up because it is clogged again!

We hate it. And cleaning the clogs is no simple task. You must literally remove many different components: clean the tube, filters, connecting points, etc. This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. You have been warned.

Bought this about 3 months ago. Pfffffft. What a disaster, it's going out to the curb. Bad things: tips over easily when using the hoses. Hoses are cheapo plastic and stiff and hard to use, and short. So is the cord short. The cannister is a pain to clean, and clean it you must several times during one vacuuming session. You're not suppose to use the filter wet, but the only way you can really clean it is to wash it. And let it dry outside of the cannister, because it will grow green mold, and fall apart on you like so much tissue paper if you don't dry it outside of the cannister. Cleaning is the worst, you have to disassemble the whole insides of the cannister and clean them, not just the filter, but the thing the filter sits in, and THAT thing slides into a frame that you have to take out in order to clean behind it. Awful. Truly Awful. Takes longer to clean out the vacuum and get it ready for the next floor as it does to actually vaccum! The ONLY thing that's good about this Vac is it does pick up an incredible amount of dirt. Ironic that's the same thing that brings out the worst thing about it. Out to the curb with it, and in with one of these (that have reasonably good ratings):

Well, for about $50, you can't complain much. I got this on sale and it was a pretty good buy. Considering all of the vacuum companies try to charge you over $150 (or sometimes $400) for a vacuum now, I am happy with my cheap buy. It has GREAT suction and the tools are handy and work well. Ya, they are cheap plastic, but they work great. Mine haven't broke or anything. I really can't complain about this purchase. For $50, I have a vacuum that does it's job. It cleans up my carpet. What more can you ask for? There's no need to buy one of those ridiculously expensive vacuums when the Hoover Sprint does just as good. For those of you on a budget or those that don't want to waste hundreds on a vacuum, this one is great!
