This Vacuum is the greatest! It was in brand new condition when I received it and was so simple to put together. I am continually amazed at how well it cleans. My mom just went out and bought one after seeing how well it cleans!

I'm in the process of sanding and refinishing fairly old wood floors in the front three rooms of my house. The Dyson sucks the dirt and sawdust from between the cracks. It also works well on the carpet sections that I still have to remove. I have a Siberian Husky, who is currently in the process of "blowing his coat". His fur is very soft and light and flies throughout the house in clumps. For the six years I've had him, this has always been a problem. No vacuum has ever been able to handle the amount of fur without spreading it throughout the air, leaving clumps behind and missing bits of it. The Dyson works REALLY well. No more flying fur, and it gets every bit of it up. Which means that when I finish my floors, I won't have stray dog hairs in my lovely new finish. I also have a cat who tends to shed on the furniture. Yep, it grabs that up as well.

Often, when vacuuming with other brands, there was a smell in the air or dust particles. With the Dyson, it just smells normal and clean...no flying particles either. Did I mention that I have four kids, in addition to the dog and cat? Ah yes, bits of paper, dirt tracked in from outside, cheerios dropped on the floor and smashed underfoot, makeup dust from the teen, koolaid powder from the pre-schooler and so on and so forth. It gets all that up too.

I'm impressed. It's easy for me to handle (I'm 5'1") though a touch heavy to bring upstairs and it solves a lot of my cleaning problems. The price was a deterrent, but I'm glad I bit the bullet and invested in this machine. For someone that hates to clean, I can't wait to do my stairs...my bedroom, the hallway, the dining floor and so on. I can't believe I like a vacuum!

In comparison to all other vacuums I've used (generally in the $70 or so range), this one beats all of them hand down. Vacuums don't last long around here, they simply can't handle all of the dust, dirt, pets, kids, home projects, etc. going on. The Dyson is the first one I can see lasting longer than 2 to 3 years. It's an ingenious design and I love the fact that I simply pull up a switch to empty the bin.

Mine came in two days (shockingly fast), was easy to put together (course, I DID read the instructions) and is easy to use. There are things you need to get used to (placement off on/off button, pressing your foot down to move the handle and the way that you use the wand), but once you figure it out I found it pretty intuitive so it's not a real issue. Mine came in perfect shape - looks new, works well and I really do like this vacuum though it's still difficult to comprehend how I could when I view vacuums as a necessary evil. Still, the fact remains - I really like this vacuum.

Here is an item that will be used often and gratefully. Large enough to preserve a part of or all of a bulk purchase, while saving dollars and not wasting the item {s}.

Most of the FoodSaver appliances have an accessory port to allow the attachment of a hose to connect to various containers, such as this large canister. The 3.25 quart canister is one of the largest canisters made to go with FoodSaver appliances. You can store any dry food that fits in the container and wet foods as long as they are below the level of the vacuum port.

Once you have packaged bulk foods in one or two of these, you may find yourself buying four or six of them because the larger size is so handy. You can fit a medium size box of cereal in one, or bags of M&Ms or other chocolates, increasing the length of time you can keep them. These canisters are great for brown sugar, which tends to clump when it gets moist. You can also use these for regular sugar and other similar foods.

I recommend you use caution with flour, biscuit mix or other similar foods. If the FoodSaver sucks too much dust in it can become damaged. After you fill the canister, wait until the dust settles before pulling another vacuum on the canister.

These canisters are clear with a white lid, and look great, particularly when you have a lot of them sitting on the counter. These canisters can certainly help you get organized in the kitchen!

This was an add-on purchase. We have used FoodSaver products for three year and love them.

I wish I had tried these a long time ago. They are absolutely great.

Very convienent to use and dependable

When you work all week, I cook on the weekends and with the foodsaver bags I can put platters in the freezer and defrost
in the microwave and have a home cooked meal instead of a

A great product, but after waiting 2 weeks for amazon to ship, I checked irobot.com. They sell a box of 9 bottles for $39.99 (=$4.44 each), shipping and handling is free, the item is in stock and they ship in 1-2 business days.

This solution is the only one that's to be used in the Scooba; fortunately, it does a nice job and leaves a mild, fresh scent.

After comparing prices and reading the latest review here, I ordered a package of 5 bottles from the iRobot site for 29.95 ($5. per bottle).

I guess the site had a free-shipping special a short time ago-wish I'd have checked earlier-but not today (July 3, 2006). I don't know what Amazon's shipping charge is for one bottle; it's $9.95 @ iRobot site for 5 bottles.

If you've purchased the Scooba floor mopping robot, you need to purchase this product as well. Currently, no other cleaning product is approved for use with the Scooba, so if you don't want to void your warranty, this is it. Fortunately, it works well. You only need a small capful for each use of the Scooba, so a bottle of cleaner lasts a long time. The bottle supplied with the new robot is much smaller and only lasts for a half dozen or so uses, so you probably want to order a few of these as well if you're buying a Scooba..

I can't say enough about this coffee mug. I have used it everyday for 6 months now, and I haven't had it leak once. I often sip my coffee all day and love how it is still hot at 4 PM!

Keeps hot stuff hot, cold stuff cold. Simple - this product does what it is supposed to. Thank you!! My coffee stays hot until I finish it, thank you!! The other hot and humid day here in NY, I made iced coffee in this tumbler. Used ice cubes and did not put the top on the tumbler. The iced coffee was made at 1 pm... it was still cold with ice cubes unmelted at 8 pm. Thank you!! HIGHLY recommend to all travelers and lovers of hot stuff hot, and cold stuff cold :-)

I have had four of these, and three have failed. The first two developed cracks, and I suspect that the dishwasher, in which I only washed the bottom part of the marinator as advised, warped and weakened them. After buying two more, the first two having been relegated to the potting shed as seed-starters, I have handled them with kid gloves so to speak, (no dishwasher), and the seal on one fails to hold for even a few hours. So far, so good with the fourth one. Whoopee. These are not cheap items, and even if they were less costly, a 75% failure rate is quite unacceptable. If they really functioned as they should, they would be fabulous for not only marinating in short order, but storing other items as well. All the round canisters and the wide-mouth jar sealer work exceedingly well, but I'll not buy any more "marinators" until there is a successful improvement in design.

When it comes to infusing flavor and marinting foods this is a must have item. It quickly infuses flavors without some of the drawbacks of long term exposure of some marinades. Acids and salts can breakdown foods over time and change the texture, composition and taste. This handy item does the job quickly and preserves the fresh flavors of both the primary food (meat, fish, poultry) and the fresh ingrediants used in the marinade. For summer BBQ is is the ticket for keeping foods moist. Instead of brining cut up chicken for hours try 1/2 in the marinator, then on to the grill. Marinating vegitables for the grill also works excellent and is quick and easy.

I purchased this thermos three months ago as a solution to my coffee-stain problem.

As a teacher, I have very little time during the day to run to the "faculty lounge" to replenish my morning coffee or to catch an after-lunch pick-me-up. So, over the years, I developed the habit of driving to work with three full insulated coffee cups (with lids): two I placed in my car's cup-holders, the third I held in my hand as I drove. Not very smart. Invariably, I ended up wearing some of my coffee.

But those days are over.

This Nissan thermos solved my coffee-stain problem. But it did even more. It solved another problem I never knew I had.

I had become so accustomed to the lukewarm and cold coffee that my "three go-cup method" yielded that I had forgotten how good a hot cup of coffee is in the late morning or early afternoon. I no longer have that problem. This Nissan thermos keeps my coffee piping hot throughout the day and into the night.

It is durable. Tall and thin, it fits easily in a backpack or briefcase. The vacuum insulation keeps the coffee inside the thermos (preventing further coffee-stains!). It also cleans easily. I wash it by hand nightly, using an elongated bottle-brush with soft bristles to clean the interior.

Purchasing this thermos was a wise investment for me. I happily recommend it to those who are tired of coffee-stains on their clothes and old, cold coffee in their cups.

I've been trying to find a thermos to meet my needs for quite a long time! This one is THE BEST, and well worth the money! I make my coffee in the morning, then add it to my thermos.....HOURS later it is STILL nice and hot! This keeps it fresh and waiting! I can't stand the taste of coffee after it's been made and left sitting on the coffee pot burner for an hour or so...This thermos is by far the best I've had so far! Spend a little extra to get the best! You always get what you pay for :)

The Nissan Thermos FBB1000 is a sleek brushed stainless steel thermos with vacuum-sealed insulation and 875 mL storage capacity. The thermos exceeded my expectations on capacity to retain temperature of contents for extended periods of time.

After placing all 3 components in the freezer (-5 Celcius) for 10 minutes, I filled the thermos with 7 1-inch cylindrical ice cubes and immediately capped the thermos. It was placed in direct sunlight with daytime temperatures around 28 Celcius and nightime lows around 12 Celcius. After 48 hours, gentle shaking sounded like the contents remained frozen in ice. By day five, it remained mostly ice. Not until day 6.5 were the original ice cube contents in the thermos completely melted.

While I haven't measured temperatures of hot liquids, the FBB1000 was able to retain the temperature of hot coffee for at least 12 hours.

I ordered this replacement battery through Amazon.com recently. The shipment arrived in a timely manner. The shipping sleeve that it came in was slightly roughed up, but there's no damage whatsover to the batttery itself. There is no installation instruction with the battery, however it really is one of the simpleist battery change-outs going, so no problem there.
It came with some battery charge. As expected it did not run too long on that charge. A full charge (I do not have a Roomba quick-charger) the Roomba ran a bit longer. I must admit that the short run concerned me a little. However, I've gone through two more charging cycles and the battery life extends noticeably. All in all I'm please with the purchase and delivery service.
I wouldn't mind if the battery were somewhat less expensive though.
I have an earlier model (gray) Roomba which does a very good job.

Roomba's web store sells it for $59.99, so my guess is that's the proper list price. Found it for $20 less on ecost.com.

This battery pops right in to the Roomba--no tools or disassembly required to install it. The improvement in charge life is noteworthy over the battery that came with the Roomba at the time of purchase. I can now use the Roomba to clean 3 rooms on a charge instead of one. Totally pleased with my purchase!

Well, it doesn't do much. I love my Dyson, and the floor attachment, but this is probably not worth buying.
Added: I just read the other review... I haven't had that experience, but maybe my dust is finer than theirs. It definitely works on dust-bunnies ;-}

I love my Dyson, and this attachment is indispensable for cleaning wooden blinds. Wow.

I've been waiting patiently for this item to be released, and now I have it. Wonderful product. Does exactly what it is supposed to, and more. The bristles are soft so you can get under edges of things, and it pulls up dust like a magnet. Why scatter dust when you can suck it up and get it out of your house? Make that Dyson of yours work even more efficiently than ever. Love it!

I bought the food saver because I was throuwing away too much stuff and it is already beginning to pay for itself. The instructions claim that you push down to get it started and then release but I find that I have to keep pressure on it to get it to work but it is not that big of a deal. This package included a handheld unit that is the same as the winesaver, and so I have the bottle stoppers. It was the best price I found.

We LOVE our new V840 FoodSaver. We've had no problems with it and this model has all the features we need without the costly bells and whistles. The handheld appliance was something we really had no use for, but the package seemed like a great value anyway. And it is! The handheld appliance is the same unit as the black WineSaver that sells for $40-$50. We simply wrapped it up along with a set of FoodSaver bottle stoppers and gave it to a wine-loving friend as a gift. What a deal!

Also, for your information, this kit comes with a hose, cannister, VHS instructional tape, and sample roll and bags. For the sake of economy, we use the bags we create over and over again by sanitizing them in the dishwasher. We're mindful of cutting generously portioned bags initially, and as the seals are cut from one use to the next, there's still plenty of opportunity to re-use the bags before they become too small to seal anything in.

Our family is very happy with this model and couldn't be more pleased with its performance.

I had the same problem the other user did...UNTIL I opened the lid of the unit and found there is a piece of cardboard in the bag cutter slot to keep the cutter from sliding around during shipping. It was keeping the lid from depressing. Nothing mentioned that! So I removed the cardboard and now it works great! I felt silly, but I'm sure relieved.

I miss some of the features of my Professional II (like the variable settings), but it finally died after years of hard work and I couldn't pass up the deal on this one.

It works well and meets my needs.
