Vacuums Review Great Product for Dog Hair and Hardwoods
Very light, long cord, and plenty of power to pick up dog hair and other light items. This is not for someone who wants a full fledged vacuum. My only complaint is that it's made of cheap plastic and will most likely crack/break if dropped.

Vacuums Review Eureka Stick Vacuum
I had an old Eureka electric broom similar to this one. It picked up better when it was about to "croak" than others I have purchased when they were brand new. It is also easier to empty than others I have tried. I have hardwood floors and this vacuum works great.

Vacuums Review Love this vacuum!
I have two dogs and a cat and my house gets pretty hairy. This vacuum works better than the larger, more expensive ones I have used. I got it as a gift and just saw the price now. I cannot believe how cheap it is. I was thinking it was more expensive than the bigger ones because it is smaller and easier to use but works even better!

It's very cheap, works great, small, light and you don't have to spend money on vacuum bags.

I absolutely recommend this vacuum.

Vacuums Review These bags fall apart.
These are not good quality bags. The cardboard part comes apart from the bag when both attempting to attach the bag to the vacuum cleaner and/or removing it.

Some of the reviewers have stated that these bags were hard to find. I had some older Dirt Devil bags that looked similar. I used those, and they worked perfectly. I don't think it's imperative that one uses these bags with the Bissell. You just need to get the bags that are shaped similarly. The Dirt Devil bags are constructed better and were easier to find.

Vacuums Review Hard to Find
A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast from Myrtle Beach, SC comments on the inability to locate this item in the "Real World". I have have to agree!

Recommend:
Order 3-4 sets of 3 (1 a month for the year) to avoid the search again in three months.

Vacuums Review Get them direct from Bissell
I too have had a difficult time finding these bags. I started to order from here but then decided to try bissell.com. They sell the bags direct and only charged me a flat $4.50 for shipping. The regular bags are $2.99/pack of 3 and I picked up 4 (12 bags) for a little over $16 total. Much cheaper than here if you only want the ordinary bags. The Enviro filter bags are $5.99 so it might be better to order them here. Hope this helps other users!

Vacuums Review didn't work
I sealed products & when I pulled it out it had gone bad.

Vacuums Review it's alright
Thank goodness I only use it once in a while. The first day I tried using it and it didn't work. I call customer service and they had me remove the rubber seal and make sure there wasn't any dirt and placed it back. It finally did work. The product is simple to use and it seal nicely when it works. The seal doesn't always seal properly. I just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best. I wouldn't purchase another one.

Vacuums Review Great for more uses than food!
I'm very pleased with this foodsaver and it's easy to use. I not only use it to keep food fresh (cookies, steaks, leftovers, etc.) but use it for odds-and-ends, like small beads and children's toys. What's great, also about this is that you can reuse many of the bags, so I cut off a nice-sized portion to begin with. Much better than any ziploc bag.

Vacuums Review Poorly handled by Amazon
This one was "lost in shipping" by Amazon. They never bothered to tell me so or their policy not to re-ship the order.

Vacuums Review quite pleased
I had a flooded basement and used a pump to get most of the water out and this shop vac to clean up the leftovers.

PROS:
The suction power is fairly good. Not amazing, but good.
The rubber squeegee gets the concrete floor really dry. That was impressive.
The container is light and easy to clean. Drain plug is well designed.
Long cord is great.

CONS:
Could include a few extra tools, like a soft bristle attachment.

Vacuums Review Poor Score REflects Good Product
THis is a good product for the price. I don't think it is fair that someone give the product a poor score because Amazon messed up. These reviews are meant to help your fellow consumer not just as a venting tool.

Vacuums Review Works well, but not totally leakproof...
I wrote this review initially praising the quality of this item and waxing poetic about how well this keeps stuff cold/hot. And it does do that very well.

But mine I've found is not *totally* leakproof. Mine leaks a little from the top (significantly if you tap the side of it near the top)--so as one reviewer mentioned having this in a briefcase or purse--I don't think this would work for that AT ALL. Your papers, etc., would be wet. If this sits upright in a cupholder all the time you'll have no problem. But I can't lay mine sideways and let it roll all over without fear of it leaking like I thought I would be able to. Unfortunately I learned the hard way and had to clean up vanilla latte off the seats of my car.

Also, it's important to be aware how small this is. I bought this size because I drive a european car that has a very small cupholder--something narrow and not-so-tall was a must. For this, this actually fits in the tiny cupholder and works perfectly.

On the other hand, I didn't really stop to consider before ordering that 11oz really isn't a lot of useable space. If you happen to want a cold drink in here and put ice cubes in this you may have 7-8 oz of real drink room left. If you're using the tea strainer, that also takes up space internally as well--so in that configuration I doubt you'd be able to get an actual 11oz in here (as with the ice cubes). So this really is pretty small.

So this is (as advertised, actually) best suited for those that want a single, *small* cup of hot coffee and that's it. As they call this a "Coffee and Tea Traveler" I can't fault them for the small size--I just don't think I was really understanding how little room there would be in here.

Vacuums Review The best travel mug around
It is a great mug, i just wish they made them in a 20 ounce size too.

Vacuums Review who wants to drink coffee grounds??
I use a french press for fresh coffee while camping. I had been using a glass Bodum french press, which worked great but it was only a 3 cup press and i was afraid it would break eventually... so i was looking for something bigger and more heavy duty. so, i bought the thermos, which is not all I thought it would be. It says a quart, but it's only maybe 3-4 cups of coffee... and for my big camping mugs, it's hardly 3 cups. Also, the filter does not work properly and there are many grounds in every cup... YUK! So, Memorial Day weekend when I went to pour coffee for my and my buddies, we were very disappointed in my new press... sure it keeps it hot longer, but we were planning on drinking the coffee... and it's not as big as we thought it was... size does matter in the morning when you want your coffee... and when you have to pour out 1/3 of the coffee because of grounds... well, we aren't impressed!!

Vacuums Review Great Coffee, but the lid leaks!
The Nissan Thermos French Press makes great coffee!

There is a problem with the lid, however! The rim of the lid is not deep enough and does not form a complete seal when in the thermos. Coffee will leak out no matter in which direction the pour spout "hole" is pointed (whether it is lined up with the pour spout or whether it is against the body of the thermos and coffee should technically NOT be going out).

If the lid had a longer rim that depentrated deeper into the thermos that might help prevent leaks.

Also, there is a ring depression in the thermos, just below the rim. If the lid had a "O"-ring designed to fit into that ring depression (along with the longer rim on the lid mentioned above), then the thermos would probably not leak.

Perhaps the company might consider a redesign along these lines?

    Vacuums Review Filter frustrations
I have owned one of these buggers for about 7 years now. Basically it rocks, but my filter is all torn up now for many years. I have searched high and low for a replacement filter and although this product boasts having replacements, I have found none!!! I have to hand filter any coffee with a strainer per cup which is a mess! So now I drink tea in the thermos! Go figure!

    Vacuums Review Love it!
The Dirt Devil Reaction Dual Cyclonic works GREAT! We replaced a Bagless Wind Tunnel Hoover that we hated! Wish we would have made the switch sooner!

This Dirt Devil has a Great design, easy cleaning chambers at a great price!

    We LOVE IT!

    Vacuums Review Supersucker.
Hands down the best vacuum I've ever owned, suction is amazing, the dust cup is easy to empty, and the tools are nice too. I really enjoy being able to clearly see the progress in the dust cup as I clean and the spinning vortex of dirt and pet hair is just darn cool. It is easy to maneuver, lightweight in my opinion, much less so than our old bagged Dirt Devil, and it doesn't pull itself forward like my Mom's Hoover.

HEPA filtration is also a cool feature, although none of us have any allergies. I've been checking the filter and it only seems to need cleaning every half a dozen uses or so, which is a simple matter of rinsing in the sink. Also, it sounds different than any vacuum I've ever owned, not the sustained mechanical whirring I was used too; it varies in pitch which I assume is part of the mechanism that maintains constant suction. It is fairly loud, but not obnoxiously so, although when the rotating brush attachment is used it sounds like a spooling turbine.

    My favorite things about it:
    1)Suction power
    2)32ft cord
    3)Clear flexi-hose
4)Rotating brush attachment (works pet hair laden furniture)
5)Foot operated power switch (no bending over)

    What would have been nice:
1)A way to disable the brushroll for hard wood floors
2)Fold away or collapsible handle for easier storage

I couldn't afford a Dyson and as best as I could figure this was the next best thing in the sub $200 category, over both Empower and Fusion. It certainly is enough vacuum for us and I hope it will last (4yr warranty is nice just in case).

Vacuums Review Let me tell you why I was skeptical...
I just bought the Reaction last week, but 6 months ago I bought the Dirt Devil Jaguar bagless, and stick with me because if you're evaulating vacuums, this is relevant.

Before buying the Jaguar, I checked the reviews on amazon. At that point, every review was 5 stars and every reviewer "loved" the vacuum. So OK, I went to Target and bought it, schlepped it home, and spent 15 minutes screwing all the parts together. I have wood floors and area rugs in most of the house, tile in the bathrooms, and carpeting in the bedrooms. Well the Jaguar has an 'exhaust' (for lack of a better term) in the front of the machine, toward the bottom. So as you approach the stuff that needs vacuuming up, the air coming from the exhaust blows it up in the air and all over the room! NOW - here's the thing. I wrote a review of the Jaguar noting this design flaw, and then EVERY review after mine mentions this problem! So, first everyone 'loves' it, then everyone 'hates' it. SO when I read the reviews here, as you can imagine, I was very skeptical. After calling the company's customer support number, I decided to buy the Reaction, and I decided that I would take it back to Target if it wasn't perfect.

Let me cut to the chase and say BELIEVE THE HYPE. This is a great vacuum cleaner, with a few small caveats.

    * Very powerful
    * Very easy to use on-board tools/hose
    * Very easy to empty dirt 'cup'
    * Excellent long power cord
    * HEPA filter just needs rinsing occasionally, not replacing

    Caveats:

    * Relatively heavy. Not a problem if you are youngish and/or like a bit of a workout, but this is not a machine for your 86 year old mother.
    * Relataively wide beater bar area. Not a problem unless you have a small house or apartment and/or lots of furniture close together, in which case I would think that the width would be a bit cumbersome. But then again maybe not.
    * Too powerful for small, light area rugs. It will suck them up.

Bottom line: I love this vacuum. I love that it sucks up an unbelievable amount of dust/dirt. I love how easy it is to empty. I love that I only have to move the plug once to do the whole house. I love that I can do the baseboards just by pulling out the hose and sticking the crevice tool on it. I love that I can do the upholstered furniture with the little whiring brush attachment. And personally, I love that I get some exercise while I clean. The best vacuum I have ever owned (better than my $500+ Miele).

Vacuum works great, my husband uses it almost daily! The day we got it he vacuumed for 3 hrs! So when my husband will take up vacuuming it is well worth it!

Vacuums Review Wife loves her "new" Dyson
As many others stated this unit arrived in "new" condition - we couldn't find anything worn or damaged. The wife now looks forward to vacuuming. It really sucks up the dog hair from our 90 lb. golden retreiver who sheds all the time. My wife has not had a sinus problem since we have gotten this unit, and she enjoys the fact that the canister empties from the bottom - our Hoover windtunnel emptied from the top and was always inconvenient to dump out. Believe me , we were happy to put than one out at the curb. It is also much quieter than the hoover. Our golden would seek another room when we vacuumed before, but has to be moved out of the way now ;-).

I personally was skeptical about the Dyson before our purchase but my wife had heard many glowing comments from persons on the golden retriever discussion list she follows. Seeing the results now I have to admit it lives up to the ratings on Amazon and Epinions. We are quite satisfied with our purchase.

    Vacuums Review Innovative
I bought my Porter Cable vacuum because it is a quality product that PC put some thought into as to what it would be used for. This is also true of something as simple as the bags for the vacuum. They are of a heavier paper then I have seen on other products which should allow them to hold up to the nasty stuff. The other feature which is very simple but VERY useful is the fact that you can seal the bag as soon as you remove it from the vacuum. Typical Porter Cable product, excellent.
