Watch out sweeper will tip over on you! This sweeper is okay, it has good suction, expecially the hose feature, but that is where my major complaint comes about, the hose is way to short, also I have had the sweeper tip over on me numerous times and that didn't feel very well and I probably could have thrown it out the window! Also when I put all the attachments on the hose they seem to pop off while I am sweeping, but that could be because the hose it just way to small.
Good suction with some design flawsI agree wholeheartedly with Tammy's review -- the hose is too short and when you tug on it just a little, the whole vacuum tips over on you. Tammy is right again: the attachments don't stay on very well (need a tighter fit). But the suction of both the vacuum and the hose is powerful. The hose is so easy to use; pull out and re-attach without any fiddling. I also like the fact that it uses a bag that is easy to change without having dust billowing everywhere. Putting on a new bag is also a cinch. For that, I am buying another one for use in my basement alone as it's rather heavy to haul this vacuum up and down stairs.
Love the HooverI purchased this Hoover after my old 10 years+ model died. I simply love the new one. It moves so smoothly over the carpet and and makes less noise than the old vacuum. I specifically want a bagged vacuum (I hate bagless) and couldn't be happier with this model. It is not self-propelled and that is not a problem with me. So far it has exceeded my expectations.

Designed to be a vacuum you don't have to fight withThe light weight, compact design makes the Miele vacuum cleaner highly maneuverable. It can be easily picked up and moved up and down stairs. When you move about the room, you don't have to drag it around like a dead weight, a gentle tug and the main motor unit follows along effortlessly.
It doesn't have a motor-driven carpet brush. At first, I thought it would be a disadvantage, after all, that's a standard feature on most of the American vacuum cleaners. But now I see the logic behind it. The standard floor tool is lighter and easier to move around. Its joint swivels in two directions making it easier to get into corners and under furnitures. The hose also doesn't have embedded electrical cable making it more flexible. For our carpet, the standard floor tool works well enough. The manual does recommend getting the battery powered electro-brush if really deep pile carpet or rug neccesitates it.
The motor is powerful yet very quiet.
Overall, this is a excellent cleaning tool that makes vacuuming less of a chore.

Just greatIt may not have all the special accessories, but for my home it has everything it needs. It is light, easy to maneuver and has great suction. My friend borrowed it and now she has ordered one as well. Just a great vacuum & absolutely worth the money.
Let a Miele Be Your Umbrella! It's not like me to write a rave about a vacuum cleaner, let alone actually use one (except when prompted to by partners or pangs of conscience). However, the minute I Miele'd the rugs, I knew I could never go back to the lackluster performance of cheaper machines. That's just how superior the Miele is, even this, one of the most affordable in their line. It's worth the extra $150 or so compared to top models from Eureka, Hoover, and other popular brands. There's so much going for this model that brevity demands I simply enumerate it's many advantages.
Power: There are six easily adjustable power levels. The highest is an incredible 1,200 watts--plenty to pick up old debris stubbornly clinging to home base. By attaching the long crevice tool you can wedge the wand between rug and wall and pick up generations of dirt--this is no time to get sentimental. The lower power setting are also useful, witht the duster attachment you can go over framed pictures, curtains, etc. without fear that the pictures will fall down or that the curtains or etc. will wind up sucked inside the hose. There's high power, but there's also non-gimmicky variable power.
Mobility: I'm a novice at using a canister vacuum, so I was surprised at how easily the unit followed me the room around like a low-tech robot. You may need to lift it when moving from one room to another, and the Miele is relatively light (compare it to the Dyson, for example) and well-balanced. The standard rectangular head also shows great angular mobility to vacuum hard-to-reach areas. It adds up to a greater effective cleaning area; you'll get closer to walls and curved objects. It's the large appliance equivalent of a close shave.
The Other Stuff: I won't repeat all the information in the product description above except to confirm that the components work (e.g., the filtering system) and the features aren't mere gimmicks. The bag changes more easily than in other vacuums, the useful tools attach to the telescoping steel wand, the electric cord retracts completely and semi-automatically, and is is much quieter than any other v.c. I've used. Yes, the cleaning head doubles as a combo rug/floor cleaner, but unlike the other reviewer, I found that the Miele performed superbly (even with dog fur) on both surfaces without needing rotating brushes. (The head adjusts to floors by retracting some stiff but fairly short non-rotating brushes.) If you need prefer however, you can buy a rotating brush head for about $100 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AMEKHW/ ref=pd_sim_k_2/103-7519344-0327817?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=284507). That costs approximately as much as a model that comes with the "power brush," so you could experiment without it first. If money is no object, then go ahead and get the other model, and send me one too...
Problems: Not many, although I've had it a very short time, and will update this review if it develops any. However, I wish the on/off button were located on the wand rather than on the trailing canister. Furthermore, you're supposed to control power by stepping on the canister's large metallic plate, but this proved somewhat clumsy and slippery when not wearing your shoes.
I'm so pleased with the Miele that I'm taking a break from my usual reviews of books and music to recommend it. A Miele can cost over $1,000, but I suspect that most people won't need these more expensive versions. However, one may want to compare models on the web to find right one for you. I'm actually looking forward to using it tomorrow...the fresher air, cleaner house, and wow factor are worth it.

Don't expect too much....I bought this vacuum as a cheap "in between" vacuum while I saved up to get a better one. It did a pretty good job cleaning my small apartment for about a month. It has a nice LED which tells you when you need to clean the cup and filter. This is also, unfortunently, when the vacuums suction has dwindled to nill. This happens often. After a few minutes of medium to heavy cleaning, the whole thing needs to be cleaned, otherwise your just pushing the thing back and forth for show. After about a month, this condition became permanent. The light stayed on, and the vacuum was basically useless. I hesitate to give this product one star, because it would probably be good for small jobs and light cleaning. Just don't buy it and expect it to be your primary vacuum.
Euro Pro EP602 Stick VacuumPluses: lightweight, great for hard floors, very strong suction, telescoping wand.
Minuses: Extremely loud, non-adjustable suction makes it very difficult to go over any type carpet, ridiculously short electric cord. Manual says hepa filter is washable, but my vacuum wouldn't work after I washed mine.

I have only had this for a month!I haven't had this long, but I really like it. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because amazon says it retails at almost$100. ( And that is where I bought it!) Best Buy and Target sell it for less than $50 when it is not even on sale. I should have gotten up and checked around! DO NOT even attempt to ues this to clean the whole house. This is great for quick jobs. I love this for smashed goldfish crackers and things like that. Every mom of a child who still spills needs this or something like it!!

Dirt Devil filter 0914I use this filter in both my old and new Extreme Power Rechargeable Handheld Vacuums and it lasts a long time. I vacuum it 2x per week when I have the big vac out. It looks good as new after I clean it off. Lasts me about 2 months as I use it in the kitchen after my bird and dog leave seeds, feathers and fur! My 7 grandchildren contribute, too; in short, I use it a lot and it lasts.

Nice and portableThis is a pretty good thermos. I like that it is small and can fit in my briefcase but it's size also makes it difficult to clean. The coffee I put into it remains hot all day long but it only holds about 1.25 large cups of coffee. This works fine if you get your coffee in the morning but you may want a larger model if you plan to have coffee from the thermos in the morning and afternoon.
this bottle is my everyday companionI received this thermos bottle as a gift, and let me tell you, every student/caffeine addict needs one! I was amazed at its ability to keep liquids hot; I would put my tea or coffee in at 7am, and pour a piping hot beverage at 5pm. It survived many falls, including being dropped at high bicycle velocities. I loved this bottle so much, that after losing it, I bought an identical replacement. It is a great size for me (16oz,) but fyi, amazon sells a larger one (0.79 quart) for about the same price. I bought that one for my dad to keep him from coveting mine.

Too Hot to HandleThe vacuum I received quickly overheated and became too hot to hold or handle. The suction was great and the size very convienent. But the heat from the motor made it impossible to use safely.
Good vacuum, but received a used unitThis vacuum performs adequately. It's not as heavy as it looks. The only wide attachment has a brush on it, so it's not great for vacuuming up large areas of course sawdust, for example. The only other problem is that because it's so small, the outflow ducts on the sides of the unit are rather close to the inflow, so you get two lateral blasts of hot air blowing very close to what you're vacuuming, blowing some of it around. (The trick is to vacuum AWAY from yourself, not towards, so that you pick up the dust before the outflow vents blow on it.)
Also, like another reviewer, the vacuum I received was used, with the previous owner's pubic hair in the filter trap. Like any store, Amazon (or perhaps the vacuum's distributor) resells returned merchandise. That's fine. They just need to be much more careful when assessing the condition of returned items. Clearly, they don't bother checking the inside of returned units as well as they check the outside. (In the end, Amazon refunded me for this without too much red tape.)

Great little suckerGave my large clumsy Dirt Devil away to replace it with this small powerful easy to manipulate vacuum. I have wooden floors and needed something to quickly use when the bunnies gathered around the computer equipment and other small area items. If I had a carpetted home, Id probably need a real vacuum, but this one is perfect for me in my small apartment. The large vacuum was a deterent because it required energy to drag out of the closet etc. This vac is powerful!

Wonderful Spot RemoverI had no idea how good this product is. It came with the vacuum cleaner so I figured I would use it on a mess my cat left after coughing up a hairball. The Dyzolv completely removed the stain. This was not the first haiball the cat had coughed up. Previously I used some other spot remover I had. It didn't do as good a job as the Dyzolv. Since then the cat has coughed up more hairballs and everytime the Dyson Dyzolv removes the stain. That is why I purchased two more bottles.
Amazing! This stuff is amazing. I recently bought a dyson vacuum cleaner, and it came with a free bottle of the Dyzolv.
I came home yesterday afternoon to find that one of my three cats had knocked a can of coke off the counter and onto the carpet. It was spread over a four foot area and I decided to give the Dyzolv a shot.
It not only removed the stain with hardly any effort or scrubbing... but it also left no trace of the stain (as most other cleaners seem to do). It costs a bit more than other cleaners, but MUCH MUCH less than replacing carpet that might previously have been considered uncleanable. :o)

AMAZINGThis cleaner will get out ANYTHING. New and very old stains are no problem. I have tried everything on these multiple spots that were left by the previous owner. 4 years later, this stuff, take them out in just one small application. AMAZING is the only word that I can use to describe this cleaner.
It will take out dirt, oil, grease, wine, mold, blood,.....ANYTHING and only in one application!
