Lousy, threw mine outI love their wine saver product, and use that all the time; what a great gadget! And I drink a lot more coffee than wine, and am at least as sensitive to the quality, so this sounded pretty promising. Unfortunately, I found it didn't work worth a darn. I was never able to get it to hold a seal satisfactorily, and so the whole effort of using this became a waste. Almost any container (ziploc, tupperware, mason jar, etc.) would be better. Sorry to say that, because the idea has promise and I like their other product quite a bit. I would recommend not getting this, based on my experience.
almost perfectThis works better with beans than ground coffee, and I think the coffee stays fresher, but it's hard to tell after a week or two in any container. Ground coffee tends to break the seal and defeats the purpose of the vacuum. Washing the container out or using water to help keep the seal is a pain.
I'm surprised no one else has come up with the idea of a vacuum-sealed or nitrogen-charged coffee container. It could be a very good idea.
I also recommend buying two containers (holds one pound). You don't need the new pump if you have an existing Vacu-vin wine pump.

Works very well, losing vacuum seal easily fixedI have been using the cannister for 2 years with excellent results. I use it to store a small supply of ground coffee, and am ordering a second cannister to store whole beans after I've opened the bag.
I, too, experienced the "losing the vacuum seal" that some reviewers have noted. In my case, I grind exceedingly fine, and if I allow some of the find-ground coffee up on the cannister sides where the seal fits, the seal will not hold. I routinely just run my finger around the inside top of the cannister after adding new grounds to remove the thin dusting of coffee, and have not had the problem. I do occasionally rinse the lid with water, but very rarely. I highly recommend this product.

Happy with purchaseI was happy with the shop vac and the price was unbeatable
This Vacuum is very well made nad gets the job done.I received this unit yesterday, exactly on time and as ordered. The unit came complete and there were no missing parts.
Minor assembly is required and a couple of sockets and screwdrivers will make short work of it. The instructions are multiple parts for multiple machines but it is easy to determine which section applies to you. Assembly was a snap and took me 20 minutes.
The unit comes with a filter bag for collection of incoming debris. It also arrives with a filter for the exhaust port. I installed the HEPA filter which is an option.
The unit also has onboard storage of the tools which is a nice, handy feature. The power cord easily wraps around the top of the unit where there is a groove intended for just this purpose.
The unit is quite powerful and draws dust and dirt towards the nozzle from a good 5 inches away. The crevice tools works great at getting into the grooves in my garage floor.
A very nice feature on this machine, I think, is that the exhaust for the unit vents through the top of the machine, not the side. There's nothing worse then pulling a vacuum cleaner into a dirty area only to see the dirt take off in the opposite direction because of the way the exhaust vent is positioned. Having the vent blowing vertical assures this effect doesn't happen.
I am very satisified with the purchase. The vacuum works like a charm and Amazon's service was excellent.

Really Good VacI bought this vac on the advice of other buyers who reviewed it and posted on Amazon.com, and have not been disappointed. This IS a really good vac for the money. Easy to assemble, the inner bag provided for drywall dust, etc. is a good thing to use for most vac applications. I leave one in it to keep the vac clean, but don't use for wet vacuuming. Now the surprise--- I thought this would be a good vac to pull the dog hairs out of the carpet in the bedrooms and main rooms, but the damn thing is so powerful it actually pulled my carpet off the tack nail strip in the corner of the room when tried! The carpet stuck to the nozzle and lifted! So be careful here. Pulls carpet right off the pad in the middle of the room too. I think I will leave it for car and garage use as intended, but it DOES pull the water and fluid right out of rugs also with NO problem at all. QUITE powerful, don't let the kids play with it, even attended. Enough said, I think it's a bargain, but may want an extra length of 2.5" hose to go with it. And I rarely spend the time to review things bought, so consider that as well. A good, well built powerful machine. Will prob. get one for the school shop where I work also.

bad vacuumI don't understand the good reviews for this vacuum. I bought this here on Amazon based on the positive feedback. Man, did I make a mistake. This vacuum was a huge disappointment! I have two cats, and expect a vacuum to work properly and suck up the hairs around the house. The main part did not work well. I had to use the hose the whole time. Also, cleaning this vacuum is a dusty nightmare. Buyers Beware!!!!
Not that greatI just had one replaced recently from Bissell. My first one worked okay a few times then it got really hot and started to smell like something was burning. I had it for less than 6 months. I replaced the belt, which was not that easy to get to.
Cleaning all of the filters are somewhat of a hassle, especially when the main one in front gets stuck and you can't get the canister out. The dust will shoot out of the back, regardless so you go over and over the same spot and the indicator light never comes on to let you know that area is clean.
It is bulky, hard to maneuver, quite heavy and the long cord can be a deterent instead of an asset.
Considering I got mine on sale after Christmas and seeing the price here, I would never have bought this unit or this brand.
But the people at Bissell are nice and they do work with you.

I love this Vacuum! I got the order much faster than they had quoted.
Its a good price and it has a lot of power.
The only downside I could say it has is that you really need to clean out the filters (there are three) about every 2-3 times you use the vacuum. This wasnt a big deal to me though...
Lightweight, cool attachments.

Don't buy thisI got this with my food saver. It cracked in just a few uses. I'm not pleased with Jardian either. I was injured and can't talk when I tried to turn in a complaint by Email. They said I needed to get a friend or family member to call them on the phone in order to get help. What ever happened to equal access for the handicapped? Maybe we handicapped should take our business elsewhere.
They crack no matter what you try...We bought several. Treated with care, hand washed, used lower pressure, never dropped. All cracked in less than 10 uses.
CanisterThe canister size and shape is very suitable; it properly sized to store easily all of our cold cuts. The part that I do not like is the time it takes to pull the vacuum. It seems that the sides handle are not design to pre-load the cover so will seal the gasket. Design could be improve.

Over $4 each.....are you kidding? As far as the the clamp goes, it works OK. However, Amazon jacked up the price from about a $1 up to over $4 each. That's well above retail price. Talk about a rip-off
Works better than hose clampsThese clamps work well on ventilation hose that you would use in a dust collection system. They are much cheaper and they clamp tight. Regular hose clamps slip because of the ribs in the hose.
Excellent Permanent ClampI recommend these clamps to anyone who needs to permanently clamp their 4" hose to an outlet, adapter, inlet, etc. They form a good tight seal and do not fall off once properly tightened down.
I would not recommend these type clamps for an application where you would be moving the hose to different tools or positions. Reason being, one you would have to get your screw driver or socket wrench out, and two because the wear and tear of the clamp tightening on the hose over and over again would eventually wear a hole in the hose.

Shop Vac lung saversI purchased a pack of these filters to try out. The cost seemed a little steep to me for a paper filter but the idea of trapping drywall dust was worth the try.
I purchased a Porter Cable drywall sander and wanted to use it with my Shop Vac instead of buying the Porter Cable unit made to accompany the sander. I figured that with the disposable bags my Shop Vac unit should work. If not, I'm out the cost of the bags.
I did a little test. Working in an office (with employees at their desks), I wiped down a file cabinet that was close by. I began sanding a new drywall section near the cabinet. To say the least... I was amazed. NO DUST residue on the file cabinet using these filter bags.
In the past, sanding drywall by hand on small jobs (one or two walls), I would sweep up the bulk of dust (creating a cloud) and then vac the remaining. The filter would do its job but clogged rapidly. I got in the habit of bringing two or three backup filters to the job and then take the dirty filters home to wash with a garden hose. This whole process is Very time consuming and messy.
The high efficiency dust bags keep about 95% (my guess) of the dust from reaching the hepa filter. I completely loaded the bag after sanding five rooms with the Porter Cable 7800. When I lifted the vac, I was surprised at how heavy it was. I easily captured a 60 pound bucket of joint compound. More impressive was the fact the filter stayed clean and so did that file cabinet I mentioned earlier. Not one complaint about dust in the office which is even more amazing when you consider "the one in every crowd" person that would complain about something!
I am more than pleased with the collection bags. They saved me time and money not only on the job, but also in me not having to spend several hundred dollars on a dedicated vac for my drywall sander. I highly recommend spending the money on these bags!!

Mediocre and Not for Thick CarpetI bought this vac with high expectations. Unfortunately, it did not live up to them. I have brand new thick carpet. If you turn the unit on and just let it sit in one place for a few seconds, the beater bar bogs down and trips a ratcheting sound that resembles the noise of a cat getting sucked in tail first. I can repeat the problem over and over with ease. Initially, I thought it was a defective unit. But I have come to believe it just can't handle the thick pile. It works fine on every other floor.
After sending it back, I had opportunity to visit a Dyson dealer who also sells other brands. We threw salt, sand, rice and coins onto a big patch of his ceramic tile and store carpet and ground them in with our boots. Then I took the Dyson (DC 14 and DC 15 Ball), an Electrolux Commercial, Kirby G5, Oreck XL21, Eureka Sanitaire, and Riccar Radiance, and put them through their paces in a side by side test. The salesman didn't have to do much selling since the vacs had a chance to speak for themselves. While all the vacs got the stuff off the carpet, all but the Riccar took multiple passes (four on average). I also noticed that almost all of the vacs (except the Riccar) were strong on the right side but weak on the left. Both Dyson products beater bar seemed extremely underpowered on heavier carpet (we tried them on two weights of carpet) as did the Oreck. When we moved to the tile floor, the Dyson took the sand and salt off of the tile but left it in the cracks of the grout. Unacceptable to me.
In all honesty, when I finished the test, the Dyson products felt like plastic toys compared to some of the other products. They did a mediocre job but were incapable of dealing with the heavy carpet. Just pushing them through it was a labor, wearing my wife out after one large living room's worth of vacuuming. The Riccar, on the other hand, almost crept forward on its own. The Dysons would probably have faired much better on lower pile carpet. Had I not done the side by side test I would never have known how they all compared
I will buy a Riccar Radiance, the hands down winner in my tests. It is a little more expensive than the Dyson but far less than the Kirby. And it was the clear winner on the floor. The salesman didn't have to say anything at all. The Vacs did all the talking.

Best Vacuum so farBought this vacuum since my earlier Hoover vacuum just stopped working (in less than a year). So thought might as well invest in a good vacuum. Thus got the Dyson. So far it has been excellent. It removes lot of dust and is less noisy compared to the old Hoover.
Love my new (refurbished)Dyson DC14 FullKitOK. So I just got it and only used it to vac my upstairs (without moving furniture... just a quick test) and it took me barely 10-minutes for about 1200 sq ft of hard floor. It cleans great! It's extremely quiet, which makes me think it might be broken since Consumer Reports (and some reviewers of the DC 14 all-floors) said it was noisy. But after using a Hoover canister for the past 20-years, this thing is fantastic. Don't let anybody tell you that it doesn't do hard flooring. I highly recommend this vaccuum. I'll give a futhher review after a few weeks of use (and when I've had a chance to use all the tools). Consumer reports also gave it a lower rating for ease of use, but I put it together and got it going easily without reading the manual (don't tell Dyson!).
p.s., the cat was scared, but nowhere nearly as freightened as he is with the LOUD Hoover.
