I had the same experience several others have had.
The crevice tool which folds down is poorly designed.
After two weeks, I flipped the clear plastic tube-like tool down and it cracked at the hinge. The vacuum itself is fine, but without the crevice tool its utility is gone. I recommend you pass by this item on your way to a better choice.

This vaccum isn;t worth the price. The first thing to break was the crevice tool. It won't go back on when I use it for longer than five minutes it sounds like it's losing it charge. Buy som ething else . Next time I will buy black and decker.

It has been several years since we have had a cordless handheld vac and this one is much better than the lod one. I was not sure I anted one but needed one for some special tasks. This one does the job.

They looked great for the first few months. But any hint of moisture on the bottoms made them lose their finish. The typical grease splatters and other messy situations you'll find in a kitchen make them look bad pretty quickly. Plus, as other reviewers have mentioned, the plastic liner/seal is worthless. Don't plan to use these as functional canisters -- they're decoration only. After a year, I threw them away. What a shame, especially because they seemed so good at the beginning.

Very nice quallity, beautiful looking and much larger than I thought....which is a good thing!

It's more compact and lighter for its capacity than everything else. In fact, it's not much heavier or bulkier than a Nalgene! I've bought three of these for myself (I lose things) and five for friends over the years.

Yes, it pours slowly and dribbles when using pour spout. I rarely use the pour spout except when driving, and then its slowness is somewhat of an advantage. Overall, I would have preferred not having a pour spout but there's no comparable model with similar capacity and the size/weight considerations trumped other concerns.

I haven't found any to leak so don't know what those comments are about. Perhaps they're overfilling them...which is silly. They do dent easily when dropped so perhaps this is an office-worker's thermos rather than for construction. However, even dented, they continue to work well...

This is the best vacuum bottle I've ever had. It keeps hot or cold beverages at the desired temperature longer than other bottles, has a large openning so ice cubes are easy to insert, and it does not leak.

I spent a good several hours before purchasing this thermos, and was somewhat surprised as it was the only product I could find that met all of my requirements. My wishlist was as follows...

- 24 oz or larger (saving money by brewing my own coffee only works if I can bring enough)

- Leakproof so I can toss it in my backpack or in the back seat

- Sippable lid

- One handed for use while driving

This Nissan does all that and more! As for the other reviewers that had leaking problems, perhaps the design has changed but I have had absolutely NO leaks and have a hard time imagining how they could develop. The rubber used makes a very positive seal and like the rest of the bottle is of a high quality. (Just don't over fill it) Another example of the design work that went into this bottle is a positive stop so that you can only tighten the bottle so far, ensuring you know you've tightened it far enough and that you don't overcompress the rubber seals, shortening their lifespan. You will also notice from my list of requirements above that I wanted a bottle I could use as a mug, ie a sippable lid with one-handed operation for use in the car, and again the Nissan excels with a good positive seal and a button operated spring loaded lid that springs into action quite pleasantly. I use the bottle daily and have had no problems, but I do foresee problems in the future if I ever forget to clean it out. The plastic and rubber both pick up the flavor and smell of the coffee which is fine, but that would be a real problem if I left some coffee with milk or half'n'half in there for a few days. (I've thrown away other bottles for this problem, I simply could not get the smell out) Before receiving the bottle I had planned on throwing the strap out, but have found it quite convenient for carrying the bottle by hand or for actually slinging over my sholder when my hands are otherwise full. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be a non-slip bottom, as the bottle tends to slide while standing on a slanted desktop while in class. In summary this is a very well designed and constructed bottle that fills a niche very well. While other bottles have different features, this one has the particular combination I was looking for and it is working out perfectly.

Hanging space bag shrinks good but several weeks later, it reinflated. When I went to get my stored summer clothes, the bag had reinflated and torn off the hook and was in a wad on the floor. The 60 day guarantee has passed so I am out of luck. It's a great idea but I won't buy this again.

Having used the flat space bags successfully for a couple of things, I was intrigued with the hanging ones since I am moving to a house with less closet space. They don't really save space! But they are excellent for moisture and moth protection. Spacebag recommended plastic hangers because wire ones might puncture (one did!). Plastic hangers take up space...and heaven forbid you put a pants hanger in there...you end up with bulk at the top that prevents the bag from really saving any space. My most successful one was filled with lightweight blouses---but hey--they don't take up any room anyway. One of my hanging hooks also broke off. Also, if you are a tall person (like me) and your jackets or dresses are a little long, they are going to bunch in the bottom. So, I am pleased with the original flat bags...but won't buy any more hanging ones unless they improve the design.

I just bought a pack of 15 combo set from costco for $24. Costco is probably the only place where you can them the cheapest. it has 4 med, 4 large, 3 XL, 1 jumbo, and 3 travel bags. So far I have used 2 medium and 1 large. In large one I put one twin comfy and 2 pillows, after vaccumming I was expecting it to really flatten out 3X, but in reality it was only about 2 times. In medium ones I put my fleece jackets and other winter clothing, still the same issue with vaccumming. So not really that much space saving.. Not all that flat. I still have to try out other bags. As one of the review says, bags do get heavy so stick to smaller sizes.

I also bought large vaccum tote bag from the container store. As I was loading it, bag ripped off.. Also the vaccum hose would not fit the sealing cap on the bag and it also did not seem to have the valve that I found in the other bags. I probably wouldnt buy the tote bag again.

I hope they can make bags little bit more stronger. Plastic feels little cheap, i guess thats how it feels once you get used to ziplocks...

I have a Pro Tech 10" table saw and this Dust hood does not fit. Works great once you make a board to fit your table saw and then attach dust hood to board.

This 14'' table saw dust hood is not the best fit on my platinum edition contractor saw.To fit properly you will need to either make a frame out of sheet metal or plywood to fit under the saw. Then attach the hood to that. Delta does offer adaptor plates (for a charge) that ties it all in very cleanly.That's what I bought.This hood is well made and will accept any 4'' hose no problem. Amazons price on this item is awesome. I've seen it elsewhere for 3 times as much so, buy it here.I do recommend this item it's a real must for anyone concerned about collecting dust and keeping a tidy shop.It can also be fitted to fit almost any shop vac. Now get out there and collect some dust.

We purchased these bags for the first time in May 2001. I installed a bag and thought it worked OK. (I did not throw the former bags, not Hoover bags, out.) The next time the bag needed changing the lady who cleans the house (unbeknown to us) installed the bag we had been using previously. My wife who is very sensitive to house dust recognized the difference. After a very short time my wife said she could smell the dust when the vacuum cleaner was in use. I changed the bag in our vacuum back to a Hoover bag and the probem was cured. While not very scientific, it convinced us. I have thrown the other bags away.
Additional Comment:
Because of the small particles that are trapped in the bag, I take the vacuum outside to remove the filled bag. This prevents these particles from escaping back into the air in the house.
