Just from personal experience. Don't buy this stuff, it does not work well at all:-

1. Does not compress more than 10%. If you only have gigantic sweaters and pillows, maybe more, but for the most part, it will be 10% MAX. For example, the totes don't shrink enough to close! Totally defeats the original intention.

2. Very flimsy material. One mistake and it is torn. For all the care you may take, if you rub it against the wall, it pops a hole. Even Walmart plastic bags are more resilient!

If you ONLY want to have airtight bags (you don't care about the space savings and treat the bags like a one day old infant) then probably it may make you happy. Otherwise a big big big waste of money.

Air seeps back in. I thought I got a lemon & bought another set of space bags. Still no go. They don't work.

I bought a pack of 4 Space Bags, 2 jumbo and 2 large and they worked beautifully! I have reused them for seasonal clothing, jackets and blankets for two years now. They work for me like they show in the TV ads. Maybe you just need to follow the directions...

This is a very powerful handheld vacuum cleaner. If you just need to clean up loose this like salt or cracker crumbs it will perform great. Should you actually try to use the beater brush attachment you will be very dissappointed. I bought this cleaner for the purpose of cleaning my curtians and stairs. I own two cats and virtually all of my in-laws are allergic to them. Everytime they come, I have to clean the house top to bottom. My upright vacuum (Dirt Devil Vision Lite model 008650) weighs a ton and was not designed to use on stairs. I thought this little cleaner might be just the trick. The brush worked great the first several times I used it. But after about 20 uses it began to slow down. I cleaned it very thoroughly but never saw the initial performance again. Eventually, it stopped working at all. I urge you to buy something else, if the beater brush is a selling point for you.

Since I move often and have a small apartment I bought this unit after my old vacuum broke down. I was hoping it would be sufficient enough for my apartment. I was wrong!

The brush attachment stopped working right away and cleaning didn't help much.
Another problem is that the unit has a very small air filter. Even with a new filter the suction power decreases rapidly right away because the filter gets cluttered up.
Since the small motor spins at a high RPM the unit is also quite noisy.

I only recommend this unit in addition to a real vacuum.

I have a regular sized vacuum but bought this for more convenient use in obscure locations. I am very pleased as it is as advertised and 'filled the bill.'

As the title says, this is a super cute vacuum cleaner with a comfortable right-angled handle but it has only a floor cleaning tool and a crevice tool--no tools for cleaning upholstery or curtains. Why on earth not? I'm having to return it because with dogs, I really need those features.

First, let me defend this piece of equipment by saying that ANYONE with wall-to-wall carpeting should NEVER expect the same cleaning capabilities from a canister vacuum as you get with an upright! To say this did not clean your carpet well is like saying your vehicle did not run well when you put sugar in the gas tank - some things are NOT meant to go together and carpeted floors & canister vacs are two of them.

Second, this is THE best vacuum for hardwood, linoleum, tiles, stairs, ceiling fans, ceilings/walls, cobwebs, etc. As the owner of two dogs who shed NON-Stop and year-round, there is no comparison between the "bare floor" setting on my upright vs. this vacuum. For the first time in two years (since moving from an all-carpeted home to one with 99% hardwood floors), I finally feel like I'm able to stay on top of the dog hair, dust and miscellaneous fuzzballs that show up so well on hardwood floors.

While the bags may be small (it took me two and half bags to do an initial cleaning of my house), once you do the first thorough cleaning, there is no reason it should ever take that much again if you are diligent in vacuuming on a regular basis.

I am seriously considering buying a second one for my upstairs. NOT that this is difficult to carry or maneuver up the stairs, but so I can task my kids with vacuuming their own bedrooms while I work on the downstairs. The bang for the buck cannot be beat on this vacuum!

P.S. if a dust brush is *that* important to you, Wal-Mart sells them as I'm sure many other places do as well.

P.S.S. I bought extra bags online by searcing for AMC-S5EP vacuum and had NO problem finding them! Don't fault the vacuum for a user error!

This little vacuum does everything above the floor and also hard flooring surfaces without tiring me out and with great results. I'm very glad I sent for it.

These are not bags. They are rolls of folded plastic that have to be sealed on three sides. The Deni Vacuum Sealer designed to use these rolls has a hose that slips inside the bag and does a poor job of removing the air. Don't even consider these for your Foodsaver.

This product will not work with home vacuum sealers that use a textured bag. This is a thin plastic sheet on a roll. You have to cut, fold and seal the sides of the plastic sheet.

I'd hoped I could use these bags as an inexpensive substitute for the Foodsaver brand vacuum sealer, but they are very thin and weak. They are not textured, they don't draw a vacuum at all and they are open on one side.
Why did the staff reviewer write positive things about them? Did she even look at the product?

a horrible product - cheaply made, and it leaks nonstop! I don't know how they get away with making such a shoddy product.

This is a good concept. It does make bulky items like blankets and comforters more compact for storage for the winter. However 2 of the 4 bags we bought didn't hold a vacuum. The plastic is thin and easily tears. Look for some products for storage once the patent is up and a few companies can make competing products. As for Space Bag, this product is a cheaply made loser. I won't waste my time and money on it again.

Granted it is a little difficult to zip shut, BUT the product does just what it says. After I received the product I had trouble loosing air at first. BUT unlike the other reviewers, I didn't ask myself, "what's wrong with this product?" I asked myself, "what am I doing wrong?" Within in 5 minutes I figured out the trick to correctly and tightly zipping the bag shut. Once I knew the trick, the bags were very easy to zip. The problem that others experienced is not that the bag looses air, but that the person sealing the bag was to impatient and didn't take time to think about it. I love these bags. I live in New York City and this saves me so much space. Make sure you order the appropriate size bags for the space you would like to fit your stuff in, turn your brain on, and you shouldn't have a problem.
