I didn't figure that there was much of a differnce between hose clamps. I used both - steel band clamps and wire band clamps- with ribbed hose for dust collection. The wire band clamps were easier to put on, held better, seated well, and stayed on the fittings better.

A nice, easy to order kit of the needed items for a DC system. The kit includes 2 blast gates, one "Y" connector, 10 wire clamps, 2 ten foot sections of hose, a table saw hood and another dust hood, all for a 4" system. You save a few bucks by ordering the kit versus each item separately.

All connectors went together with the hose as required, the wire clamps fit snug, everything went as well as could be expected. A few holes needed drilled in the table saw hood for attachment, but that is expected for a universal type attachment. No complaints, problems or issues. Just a good product.

I FIND THIS SET EXCELLENT WITH NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT FOR SOME COMPLAINTS THAT I'VE READ ABOUT THE TAPERED FITTING THAT CAUSES THE HOSE TO SLIDE OFF. I TRIED SOME PLUMBERS PVC PIPE CLEANER AND ALSO APPLIED SOME PVC CEMENT THEN CLAMP THE HOSE. JUST BE SURE THIS IS WERE YOU WANT IT CAUSE ONCE ITS THERE THATS IT. I ALSO USED 4" SCD 20 RIBBED SOLID PVC DRAIN PIPE & FITTINGS THAT WORKED GREAT AND ALSO SEARCH THROUGH THE LOCAL HOME CENTER FOR PVC FITTINGS, LOT CHEAPER THAN ALL THE COLLECTOR FITTINGS. HOPE THIS HAS BEEN OF ANY HELP.

I bought the Swivel Sweeper Deluxe thinking to replace a Shark Cordless Professional Sweeper for small cleanups. Don't bother!! The dirt cup is teensy, the battery lasts about thirty seconds, it bogs downs and stops on any type of carpet. A total disappointment.

The title says it all. I've had this product for a couple of years and have had to get the plastic "neck" that attaches the wand to the floor head twice already. However, it does very well on tough carpets (dark blue with white persian cat hair!) and the mobility is terrific. Long hose, small low profile head, long cord. Oh, the cord still pops out of the socket... but at least not as often!

I've had my Miele vac for several years now and am almost completely satisfied with it. Great power -- it really DOES clean very effectively, is much quieter than most vacuums, has great accessories, a very powerful powerhead for carpet cleaning, and it's easy to use. To top it all off, the Miele is downright pretty!

The filters are great, it's much cleaner internally than most vacs, and the vacuum cleaner bags can be removed without spewing dust all around. Absolutely the only drawbacks I find with this cleaner are its lack of a power switch on the metal wand and awkward upright storage. If you buy the next level up, I think even those flaws are absent, but I didn't have the money to buy the more expensive model at the time. Other than that, I would buy it again tomorrow. It's a terrific cleaner and a whole lot better than any other cleaner I've ever owned (that would be about ten different cleaners over the years). Well worth the money.

This filter works well with the Hoover Vac that it was designed for. Could not find the right filter model at the store that we purchased the vac from. As always Amazon.com came thru with the right filter, delivered on time and for the best price. What more could you as for?

The steel band clamp should only be used in one type of application. That being where you are putting two SMOOTH surfaces together, like a garden hose or radiator hose. But with a DC application of a ribbed hose, the steel band clamp is NOT the preferred choice, use the wire clamp.

The steel band clamp will only strip and never be fully seated trying to compress and secure the wire rib to the smooth DC fitting. The steel banding and worm screw is not designed to do that task and provide the needed pressure to fully seat the ribbed hose. Whereas, the wire clamp will actually strattle the rib on both sides and create a perfect clamping fit.
