I have never written a review, but if this makes just one person pause before they purchase this machine, it was worth the effort.

This is the most miserable product I have ever had the misfortune of purchasing. I have had mine for a little over a year, and have had the following problems: broken belts (multiple, I have actually lost count), unit emits burning smell when used, self-propel belt keeps slipping off and disabling the feature (requiring dimantling of machine to repair), dust cup is a nightmare to empty (I mean really, really awful and messy) and fills much too quickly, unit tips over when left alone, and the machine is unusually loud and is getting louder each time I use it.

I will never buy a Hoover product again! This was not worth any amount of money. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

It picked up great but one month before the warranty expired the thing made terrible noises and didn't self-propel correctly. Sent it in for repair, took a month. They said "nothing" was wrong and sent it back, but now it works. I wouldn't buy another one. For $300 it should last more than a year before repairs are needed.

Spend your money on something built better.

I have only had this vacuum for 2 1/2 months, but so far it works great. I have 3 kids, a cat, and a very large long haired dog.

I looked on this product description and it stated that it would fit 2-1/4" OD ShopVacs. I must say that it was shipped and I received it within 2 days (very fast) but when I opened the box I found the hose itself had an OD of 1-3/4" and inside Diameter of 1-1/4". Very small. The grey adapter had an OD of 2" ID of 1-3/4". I'm not sure what this is supposed to fit. Please be careful. I am returning this now. I hope Amazon includes a bit more information in their product descriptions in the future.

This is a very good hose to hook up to a strong vacuum for floor and shop cleaning. It works well also for connecting power hand tools (orbital and belt sanders, etc.) Because the internal surface is not smooth, and because it is only 2 1/2" in diameter, I would not expect to link several 12-foot lengths together without substantially reducing air flow. The 12 feet works out well on a portable vacuum. If you use this with a stationary vacuum and need more than 12 feet of length, then you will probably need a 2-3 hp vacuum to do a decent job.

This hose wears well, resists abrasion, and doesn't kink. It appears at first glance to have an interntal wire for reinforcement, but the appearance is just a hollow ridge shape that coils the length of the hose and allows the hose to flex. The "coil" design and heavy plastic construction allow it to be sturdy yet remain flexible. This design means that the interior of the hose is not smooth -- the inverse shape of the ridge is mirrored on the interior. I thought this might make the hose clog easily but that is definitely not the case.

It is somewhat stiff -- stiffer than a good rubber garden hose but more than pliable enough for woodshop purposes. The cuff connector at one end of the hose allows the connector to rotate without twisting or winding the hose. This is a very good feature I would want on any hose.

The is no wire reinforcement because reinforcement is not needed with this hose. However, for those that believe an internal wire significantly reduces the builup of static, this hose doesn't fit that bill, it has no wire.

The best flexible hose for connecting hand held power tools. Mr. Nozzle has the perfect balance between rigid/flexible and will not compress under vacuum pressure. The grey adaptor end fits 2+1/2" to 1+1/4" reducers for hand held tools and has a 2+1/4" O.D. Perfect!!!

These zippers are a great idea but are poorly done. I bought these zippers because I have some plastic dust barrier that needs to stay up for a couple of weeks so they seemed like a good idea. Seemed. I followed the instructions to the T but the adhesive on the zippers is so lousy that they just don't stick worth a damn. Maybe the adhesive gets stronger the longer you leave it but it hasn't been my experience. I stuck the zipper on and waited a day to let them set (although it doesn't tell you that you have to do that) I came back the next day to cut the plastic and as I unzipped the zipper the zipper basically fell right off the plastic. Totally weak, I would not recommend these junk zippers to anyone although the other Zipwall stuff seems to be pretty good. Why the heck wouldn't they use a super high strength adhesive for something like this, what is the point if they don't stick to the plastic????
OK, enough of this, just don't buy this product. I would have given it a 0 stars rating but they don't have that option.

This Vacuum is my best vacuum I ever Had after changing every Two Years to a New Vacuum I decid it to buy on good Vacuum I tryed one Companey but NA NA it wasn't that good then I went and I returnd it and I change it for this Bosch Bsg81370 This is the best Vacuum I recomend to alllllllllll

I received the 14.4 volt vacuum for Christmas 2004. After a full charge, it lasts less than a minute. It would be great if the battery lasted, but it doesn't. Go with another product and save your money on this piece of junk.

It's a really good hand vac.

I can use it for wet/dry carpet or any places I want to clean up.

The important thing is this vac not expensive and shopping free.

I strongly recommend you buy it.

It is an excellent portable vacumm.It's easy to use. It has a very nice features.
