Vacuums Review Here is the deal with this thing..
First time you use it.. it works great.. second time it sucks a bit less water, until about the 30th time, it literally does not suck up any water at all. Here is the problem. There is a black sponge filter between the water tank and the vacuum. I have no idea how air passes through this filter, but in design its supposed to. I dont know why but after a couple uses this filter becomes clogged, I have washed this filter and its original state is not restored (it still does not let air pass though). I removed the filter all together and I sucked up more water in the first minute than I got from doing the entire room with the filter in.

What I suggest is this. Take the filter out, and at the same time move vacuum slowly (so water does not splash much) I would change the water before its fills to the limit. After finished, I would remove the container and run the vacuum for second to dry out any water that got into the vacuum.

I gave this thing 3 stars, but the bottom line is it works great if only air could get past the filter/sponge.

    Vacuums Review deep down clean
I praise your product, i moved into a room that had a rug so dirty you could smell the dirt. well until i got this dirt devil i tried vacuuming it, and tried to spray it with foam cleaner but the smell lingered on. i used the dirt devil 1 time and had to change the water 4 times and when it dried, no, before it dried i smelled the clean, felt the clean and saw the clean. never felt so good getting deep down clean, thanks dirt devil

Vacuums Review I love my carpet cleaner
I have used my new Dirt Devil three times. I have had no problems and I have visibly seen it suck up dirty water. The only stain it didnt clean was a 1 1/2 year old peach juice stain/dirt stain that I have tried to clean for the last year and a half. This machine did clean up my daughters vomit stains on the same carpet. The only time the suction has not worked for me was when the top wasnt seated right.

This is the most expensive piece of trash I have ever owned. It does not roll at all on bare carpet or floors. Please do not waste your money.

Vacuums Review Great Balls of Dust! No More!
Solid construction, easy to use, very quiet, works great on my berber-like carpets, picks up even cat hair. I'm very pleased with my purchase - no more loud vacuuming or having to deal with the cord.

Vacuums Review Absolutely worthless - not remotely as described!
Were ZERO stars an option, I'd rank this worthless item a ZERO! I've long been a Kenmore canister vacuum user...until the puppy chewed the cord. I opted for the Bissell CleanView II, it was fabulous...until the puppy chewed the cord (no, never plugged into electricity!). I borrowed a friend's Hoover WindTunnel canister and loved it, but decided I didn't want to spend the $200 for it...and so, after much research and comparative shopping, I opted for the Sanyo SC-506T (it has a retracting cord!).

The vacuum arrived in record time, even though I selected the "super-saver shipping" option. Upon opening the box I immediately grew concerned for as I assembled the hose unit I noted it to be extremely "flimsy" feeling - the hose assembly is only attached to the based/brush unit via force - there is no attachment (as in wherein one might wish to release the base/brush unit to use only the hose). I soon found that how I assembled the hose unit to the base meant it was to stay in that manner forever - I found that I had placed the two pieces together just about an inch off center - meaning all attempts to vacuum required holding the entire hose assembly to compensate for the "off kilter" base unit.

Vacuuming berber (zero pile) I quickly found that I had to go over the same spot time and time again as one cannot place ANY pressure on the base unit...to do so means the "beater brush" stops completely. Further investigation noted that there are no front wheels on the base unit, thus when one is push the hose/base foward, the base unit basically grinds into the floor/carpet because there is nothing to keep it elevated (hence the need for front wheels).

From berber I moved to tile...on the tile it seems to work so much better, but I made the mistake of moving to a very low pile throw rug and found the beater brush unit flat out won't work unless one gentlly lifts the base/brush unit...again, likely due to the front end being basically flush with the ground. (Note: there are two brush options "rug" and "floor". Selecting "floor" stops the brush completely).

After about 20 minutes I found I was vacuuming the same spots over and over with little, if any, progress. The base/brush unit is basically useless UNLESS one continually lifts it so as to "help" the brush gain a bit of elevation.

Further angst was realized when I noticed the "dust indicator" was already pushing 3/4 full (an indicator is atop the canister). I turned off the machine and started to open the unit to inspect the bag and was a bit alarmed to feel the heat of the motor throughout the unit.

To empty the "bagless" bag, one must completely disassemble the unit - there is, however, a quick release, but word of caution should be noted - don't open the unit in an area you just cleaned. Although there is a filter, the dust just flies out (likely due to the reverse suction from opening the unit). One must remove the large filter to get to the "bagless bag". I was thoroughly disgusted to find the "bagless bag" is nothing more than the empty hull of the front of the vacuum. The ONLY way to empty the "hull" is to lift the entire hull, complete with the entire hose assembly still attached, and dump the hull into a bag. Mind you, the opening of the hull is just about 1/2 the width of a shopping bag, so care must be used to ensure one hits the bag completely.

A "pro" to this mess is that the filter appears to do a very, very good job collecting all of the dust. I was very surprised to see such volume collected in the filter. However, any pleasure derived from this one ray of hope was quickly dashed when I saw a tiny plastic "fork" attached to the filter. Yes, it's true, one is expected to remove the tiny fork and basically rake the filter. Once again, another cumbersome filthy component that must be handled in order to clean/empty. Adding insult to disgust, the fork got "stuck" on a clump of the collected dust and before I knew it, my face was covered in the dust as the fork freed itself.

Oh, I could ramble further....but if the above doesn't change your mind, my other comments wouldn't make a difference.

Lastly, I was THRILLED to find that upon my third adventure with this "thing", the base/brush unit finally stopped completely...no amount of "gentle lifting" helped. I even removed all of the dust and hair collected in the brush (gee, it might help if the dust or dog hair actually was sucked into the "hull" instead of just wrapping around the pseudo beater brush!) to no avail. Yes! On the 30th day of the warranty it died!

I'm buying the Bissell again...wait, maybe the Hoover WindTunnel, wait, maybe the Kenmore...I don't see how any other vacuum I select could be worse than the Sanyo! Still kicking myself for believing the "features".

Vacuums Review It sucks great everytime I get it home from shop! Hence IT SUCKS>
I brought this baby home and did it ever clean up! Quiet, powerful, great features! That said, DON'T BUY ONE OF THESE UNITS!
I have had this into the shop three times in as many months on the first one and the replacement lasted for three vacumings... Defective drive unit. The brush quits spinning and you have to return it to service center. In my case thats a 52 mile trip! I have made that trip 6 times and am on my way again today!
    Beware this unit!

Vacuums Review HOOVER DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE
I have always owned a hoover. I purchased a Dyson but returned it as it was too clumsy. Decided to go with Hoover again. What a mistake.

Everything is made of plastic. One of the cups that the hose slides through so it is held in place on the machine broke. As it is under warranty for another month, I called the repair shop and told them what had happened. Their response was: Bring it in, if it is a manufacturing defect, we will replace it, otherwise we will not. Great, prove that it is a manufacturing defect when the entire machine is a piece of junk. I have new carpeting and fuzz has lodged itself under the front cover. I have removed all the screws and cannot get that front cover off in order to remove the fuzz. I may have to eat this damn machine but am going to look at the Sears which I am told is made out of old fashioned metal and does a fabulous job.

Vacuums Review Don't waste your money
This vacuum performs well, but is not built to last. The drive motor for the brushes died two months outside the 1 year warranty. Hoover told me that they would cover 50% of parts, but it still is a $130 repair. I'm currently looking for a more durable vacuum.

Vacuums Review DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I bought this at Christmas time. Within 2 months it stopped working. I called up Ontel and they said it needed a new battery. So I figured it would be cheaper to buy a replacement battery than a new vacuum and purchased another battery at $20 including shipping. It still didn't work with the new battery. I called them again and they said I needed a new swival head and they would only charge me an additional $7 for that. They sent it to me and it still wouldn't work!! I called them again and they said there is nothing they could do since the warrenty was up. I have left many messages to the supervisor and sent many e-mails and they won't even talk to me!!

Save your money and go with a more reputable company!! I wish I would have!

Vacuums Review Not worth the money
Had the same experience....after 3 months, it would not hold a charge. Tried so many times to call the company and they put you on hold.
I think the replacement battery charge is too much and if I bought it, it may not work. Would not recommend this to anyone.

    Vacuums Review SERVES A PURPOSE
I really enjoy having this handy tool around. I received mine for Christmas and it still works great. This is great for pre-vacuuming, and also for when you have to make your place look presentable in a moments notice. I have an 800 square foot apartment and it takes me about 15 minutes to go over all the surfaces, leaving the surface of my floors virtually free of dust, lint, hairs, threads, crumbs, and other gomies that make your carpets look dirty. Its great to use before vacuuming as it picks up brush clogging threads and other surface debris so your vacuum can concentrate on the deep dirt.

The Swivel Sweeper works great on all surfaces. I have used it on linoleum, medium pile carpets, area rugs, and dry cement. You can use it anywhere you can use a broom, or vacuum and its totally cordless. I have to empty the dirt bin approximately three times total when doing my whole apartment. Its totally gratifying to see all that filth end up in the wastebasket. I can clean my whole apartment approximately 5 times before I simply have to plug it into the recharger. It gets plugged in or emptyied whenever the motor stars to slow.

The pros are: its quick, its agile, its light, its cordless, its inexpensive.
The cons are: dust bin does fill up quickly, but its amazing, and great to see, and eliminate all that surface filth before it gets ground in.

Vacuums Review Great Wine Saver product
Need the Swissmar wine pump to go with these wine stoppers. Have tried other wine stopper/vac sets and this is my favorite one.

Vacuums Review Great wine stoppers, but you must already have the pump.
I purchased the clear version of these Wine Stoppers. However, it also comes in black and blue.

This item is great to preserve your favorites wines, so you don't lose the flavor and have to throw out any wine that you do not use the same night you pop the cork(s).

It is designed to work with the Swissmar's wine preserving vacuum pump. I received four with my pump set, but needed more to store more varieties....

    Vacuums Review At Last!
At last, a practical way to preserve our wine. We have tried many systems and sprays. These stoppers are durable, effective and easy to use. The best we have found! Thanks!

Vacuums Review Poorly designed shop vac
It's simple, the bag won't come out of the vac after it is 2/3 full. It will rip apart first. Would not recommend this product under any circumstances.

    Vacuums Review Shop-Vac 22-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum
I bought this wet/dry vac about a year ago and so far, it has held up well to on the job use. Considering the reasonable price, I feel that it was a very good value and I expect to get another year out of it before replacing it with the same model if still available then. It has excellent suction power although the hose cannot be reversed for blowing. This is probably the main reason why the motor is so mercifully quite. With an empty tank, the vac is light enough for me to easily pick up and load in the truck but still heavy enough to roll smoothly on a concrete or plywood floor. The vac has an eighteen foot long power cord and came with a six-foot 2-1/2 inch diameter locking hose and accessory kit including a floor brush with squeegee, two 2-1/2 foot long extensions, a crevice tool and a disposable fine dust filter bag. I immediately ordered an additional eight-foot locking hose, hose coupling, right-angle brush attachment and two reducer/adapters for connection to my table saw and miter saw when needed.
For regular cleanup, such as woodchips, I just use the included standard wet/dry paper element filter without a bag. When using the vacuum to clean soot from oil burner/gas furnace flues and stack pipes, wood stove/fireplace ash or drywall dust I always use the #90673 high-efficiency fine dust bags and have never had a problem with soot or dust blowing out of the motor exhaust and into the room. These filter bags come in two-packs and are a little expensive but can last for quite a while if you don't use them for everyday cleaning jobs. Of course, the twenty-two gallon tank does have a drain for liquids, but for continuous wet pickup below grade when no sump pit is available, I remove the top motor assembly and use a utility pump with a garden hose to drain the tank rather than try to lift it or fiddle with adapters for the tank drain. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this wet/dry vac and have no problem recommending it.

    Vacuums Review Sho-Vac 925-44-10 22 Gallon 6.25 HP Contractor Wet/Dry
This product is amazing! The power behind this model surpasses the expectation's of the product. It performs the best of any model I've ever used. And I highly recommend this product to any buyer interested in a truly powerful easy to use Wet/dry shop vac.
