You know that old adage? "You get what you pay for"? In this case you dont even get that! Brand name and spiffy look attracted me along with the low price.WOO-WEE! I found a bargin , can't wait to get home and try 'er out. Worked great first couple times then simply lost power, NO SUCTION! I cleaned both filters after using unit second time, they clog easily with normal usage.The paper filter has a rubber gasket edge , once you remove it for the first time and clean it , it's hard to get it to seat properly in the bagless housing unit.The allergen filter dosen't seem to do anyhing as far as that musty vacuum smell. I was very disappointed with the machine considering the Hoover name. I learned a lesson on this purchase .The Hoover went to the yard sell. I then ignored the fish hooks in my pockets ,got the money out and purchased a Dyson (which I am very happy with). Don't buy the Hoover Tempo you'll be throwing away your money.

If you enjoy a product that requires high maintenance to run than you'll love vacuum! You will need to empty the canister EVERYTIME you vacuum. Oh, the filters clog easily, so you will need to clean those out EVERYTIME you empty the canister as well. If you choose to avoid this - it will result in very limited suction.

Up for a good challenge? Try putting the canister back in place - on the 1st or 2nd try.

My teenager and husband hate the vacuum. Silly them they prefer their cleaning tools to be efficient, quick and easy.

So they grab the broom instead.

Junk. The worst vac I ever owned. Agitator burned my carpet. Loses suction. Filters are impossible to find, clog quickly, and can't be cleaned. Avoid this vac like the plague.

I've tried a fair share of the gadgets I've seen on TV and in various magazines. This is the one I could not live without. Being single and enjoying cooking, I find it difficult to cook small meals every day. With the Food Saver, I cook larger quantities, freeze individual portions, and seal them in microwave safe bowls so I can take them to work. Open up one end of the bag and throw it in the microwave and in a matter of minutes, I have my home cooked meal for lunch at work.

I've owned various Foodsavers over the last 7 years and I figure it's saved me hundreds of $$$ by buying in bulk, vacuum sealing individual portions and freezing.

This applies mostly to meat, but applies to other things as well. The food lasts, literally, more than twice as long in the freezer because there is no chance for freezer burn.

I've read reviews for other models that complain about the cost of the Tilia bags and disagree with them. Since they are reusable, the cost isn't nearly as bad as they say. I generally get at least 4 uses out of my bags made from the rolls. If you buy the precut bags, it can be a little expensive, but you still get multiple uses from them.

The only gripe I have about this model is that the end of the vacuum hose that is used for the various cannisters and jar sealer accessories has a tendency to pop out of the unit for no apparent reason sometimes.

I just got the 1205 and finding many ways to use it. I think it will end up saving me money.

This dust chute is made of thick plastic and bolts right up to the DC-380 planer. Some of the reviewers (under the DC-380 planer section) mention the difficulty they've had connecting a 4" dust hose to the 4 and 7/8 inch connector. My solution was to buy a standard metal reducer at the hardware store (5" female to 4" female) and drill out the rivets that hold it together. I squeezed the reducer down until the big end fit on the Delta dust chute and the small end fit INSIDE a 4" dust hose. Reassemble with inexpensive aluminum pop rivets and you're good to go. Now, the connector fits the planer so well, I don't need tape to hold it.

If you need to step down in the DC system, which is recommended, this works great. The ends are to size stated, the hose fit easily and the wire clamps put it all together snuggly. The fitting allows you to step down from a larger main line to smaller branch lines near the machine, thus increasing the air suction, where it's needed most, by the machine.

Also, a lot of shop vac fittings are the 2 1/2 inch size.

This fitting is well made, just like the rest of the Jet dust collection fittings. I am using this on a Delta Sanding station. The output port size of the sander is 3 inches. This fits in snugly. My dust collection hose is a standard flexible 2 1/2", and that falls inside this reducer snugly as well. So there you have it. This is actually a male fitting for a 3" opening, and a female fitting for a 2 1/2" opening.
